Im planning a few bits of bodywork in the too distant future, so whilst its there i figure i might as well get everything i want done. Now my problem is finding doors if i cant find a cheaper kit!
-
Yep, £160 including the handles, TAX!! and delivery. I was considering hacking some from an audi door, but presumed that as its a conversion kit, the angles of the doors might not be the same, and this has been taken into the consideration for the kit?! Nick

Ive used the search and the only place i could come up with was Venom Motorsport for the Audi A3/A6 (are they the same?) style door handles. Their price is £160 delivered and was wondering If theres anywhere cheaper who supplies them? Google also wont turn up much for me, and as im trying to get all body parts up together before i get some work done, id like them quite soon. :D Nick

destructiv dave's silver valver (update 11/07/11)
Nick replied to destructiv dave's topic in Members Gallery
That is tidy! Did you fit the A6 handles yourself or get a bodyshop to do it? Pain in the ar5e? One of my fav mods, also a very practical one! -
Just wasting time at work and found this thread...you FOUND one...?!

I have never seen this car until just a minute ago. The pics on page 9 are stunning. That is one super sweet looking corrado. Imagine a whole factory of them like that...there must have been once! -
Did you have a feature not long ago? If not twas a very similair car! Looking very tidy, and in most cases i would disregard that colour as disgusting, but its actually really nice!
-
Wow, how manys that finished now...?

The other morning i managed to break my door handle :(

24V Renshaw - 24V V6 - Just read the whole thread!!!!
Nick replied to 24V Renshaw's topic in Members Gallery
Im not surprised by the finish. I never expect anything other than perfect with this car. lol. Hope your super pleased. -
Cheapest way would be to just replace your springs. But that is most certainly not the best way to go about it. If you do a search im sure youll find plenty of opinions and explanations on whats best. I dont know. At a guess 17's. But it depends how much you lower it obviously. http://www.gpcvwaudi.com/ - but the price with the 60 and 90mm spoiler are wrong. You need to swap them round. Cant help with a US supplier im afraid.

Fitting mk4 handbrake gaitor+TT gearshift/surround
Nick replied to BigTartanJudge's topic in Interior
Damn it! Everybodys doing it. lol. Tis an awesome mod. leavon has one i believe already done. -
Do Audi TT's have the same mirrors? If not they must be quick similair?
-
I say: Slam it, remove the BBS sticker from the side, get either all red or red/clear or red/clear smoked rear lights, remove black side strip or colour code, colour code front grill, or remove completely, bigger wheels...? Just a few ideas, but it looks mint mate. Super tidy interior, and loverly looking conditioned leather.

I know! I know!! Same things been happening on my '91 G60. Ive just been told i need to replace my engine. Get it looked by a professional asap. The pressure in my engine was basically non-existant once warmed up. I was advised to 'preferably' replace the engine, or at the very least a whole bottom end rebuild. Of course there are any number of solutions to your individual car problems, but its sod's law that i need to replace my engine. *edit - rob b seems to be familiar with this too!*

The Cineworld complex in Yeovil. They have the biggest speedbumps i have ever seen. ever. They were put there to stop the boy-racers coming in and out, unfortunately it means that i have to park in another car-park and walk to the cinema. lol. Speedbumps too. They are a pain, but my localish area isnt littered with speed-bumps so its ok. There are certain places i have to plan around tho.

Corrado Spotting! Was it you? [Archive January 06]
Nick replied to bristolbaron's topic in General Car Chat
Saw a blue C today. Think it was a valver. In Shepton Mallet, never seen any in shepton so i gave a little wave, but it wasnt returned... :( -
What car has this come from? I dont know... Would a seat engine fit? In particular one from a Cupra R?
-
Ok. Alot of things going on in my head, but just wanted to try and gauge every option fully before i make my mind up on my engine. I want to try and compile a list of conversions undertaken to get a particular engine into the Corrado bay. If you can think of any from overseas sites etc, please post up with as much info, or alink as possible. So far i can list the following: 24V V6 R32 Audi TT? (ive seen this in a few other cars so assume it would fit a C?) But thats it...

Well, thats done that then. The last 6 months of 2005 were the worst of my life, for many many reasons, but ive tried to stay positive and refuse to use the word depressed to describe myself at the age of 20...but feck. The only really good thing in my life has been my G60, and no-matter how down ive been, a drive in it has always cheered me up. Especially after the move up from a 1.4 106, which caused me no-end of troubles, ending up in a replacement engine. You may have read in this section from me a post about an oil/coolant light beeping and flashing at me, this week. Well the car went in to the garage today to try and diagnose the problem. Which has been done. I was told, and this is mainly gibberish engine talk to me, so i could have just been bullsh*** but... Once the engine is started from cold it holds about 60psi, at 3500 revs it holds around 35psi, once warm, my engine holds about 20psi, and when at 3500revs its holding literally 1 or 2 psi... It was reccomended that i replace pretty much the whole bottom end; oil pump, big ends etc. and this could be done for about £350 - £400. But as theres no guarnatee that this will fix it long term or for even a while, it was suggested that i might need to replace my engine. Ive thrown about a 1k at it in the 6 or 7 months that ive owned it, and cant think how the feck i can afford to replace the engine. But it has to be done. So now im sat thinking about conversions or replacements bewildered how 2006 could have started out so badly. It already means the one thing i had my heart set on this year, which was a snowboarding holiday, 99% wont go ahead. :( Im gonna go crack open a bottle of southern comfort, but i appreciate anybodys who read this, and whoever may put suggestions forward. Nick

I know the G60 has some fairly big brakes anyway, but if i wanted to upgrade them, what are my options? Money is a facor, but please let me hear all the options. Ive done a search, and could only find info on: G60 brakes onto Golfs and valvers, and VR6 brake upgrades. Am i using the search wrong?
