JT-G60, sent me some side indicators, only asked a couple quid for em, and chucked em in the post pronto! Very much appreciated! Cheers mate!

Excuse the DP. Is a duff or dirty sensor common as its been suggested before? Can anyone point me in the direction of where to check for corrosion or dirt? Also, if the worst happened, and i had to visit a garage, is replacing a sensor likely to be expensive? Id rather let someone who knows what theyre talking about look at it, rather than risk ruining the engine.

I thought it was oil related (a '91 G60 btw) but when checking my little book this morning it said coolant level. I have checked and as far as Im aware there are no oil leaks, I check my oil level regularly and its always fine, it was also serviced at the end of September, including an oil change.

Right, i know sod-all about engines, but i know this problem is annoying... Once the engine has been running for a while, and im cruising at around 30mph in 3rd, 40mph in 4th and 50mph in 5th, i get a red light flash and beep at me. The way i've solved it so far is to put your foot down a bit, or change down gears, increasing the revs, which stops it. Ive come back from a week on holiday and the coolant temp gauge in the dashboard doesnt move, and the beep is beginning to happen more often. Ive checked my coolant level and its fine and there arent any leaks... Can anybody help or suggest what the problem might be? If i were to replace the coolant would that help and what type of coolant is best? Thanks in advance. Nick

Well what do you want doing? If you can tell us what sort of lines youre thinking then we could prob post up pics. Suggestions: de-seam/badge rear, remove and smooth rear wiper, blend rear number plate holder to tailgate like A20Lees - but leave the lights, flared arches (already mentioned, ill try and find some pics in a bit), Audi Door handles?, remove and fill the lines on the roof (brain isnt working for correct wording atm!) fill front number plate hole, remove washer jets and re-position... To get you started. And that Golf is amazing! Was it there for you to see in the metal? If Im right they cut it in half and widened it about 6 inches i think to accomodate all the TVR parts. Madness. Iv pics of that too actually somewhere...

I saw a dark coloured (blue?) C last night, parked up in the sleepy village of South Cheriton. It was an L -reg and had some 5 spoke alloys on. -
Yep, stuck on the wall next to my computer! My personal favourite is also Jay's. But there are so many top quality rado's that I'm spoilt for choice. :D

Thats Madness!! TPFT or FC? Im 20, 1 years NCB, No points or claims - £950 FC on my standard G60.

I have a problem that after my car warms up and im just cruising at 30 in 3rd, 40 in 4th, 50 in 5th etc. the oil warning light starts to flash and beep at me. I can make it stop by accelerating, but thats not the point. Ive posted about this before and the possible suggestions were dirty or faulty oil sensor. This has been annoying me for some time now and i was gonna take a brief look myself, but i dont know where to look! And its 91 G60.

Re-trim in Jaguar sand leather i believe. *And special made up spray paint too* -
Im not a big fan of the standard spoiler up. However whilst driving back home from work at night, ive noticed the spoiler, when up, is often in direct line of the lights of the car behind and so blocks it out the way. :)

Haha! Each to their own! I thought it looked quite ferrari-esque!
-
Ive just whipped this up; Courtesy of OSV (hope you dont mind!!) As an alternative spoiler, roughly along the same lines as Jay i think (welded and smoothed in). Ive had this idea for a little while also. 8) What do you think? Can you tell what car the spoilers from? And do you like it...? Nick

Oooh, where do you live? Im in Sherborne. I saw two yesterday on my way to a stereophonics gig in bournemouth. Firstly a blue G60 in Wincanton Morrisons car park about 615. Had some alloys on. Then once we found a place to park i walked past a dark blue VR6 with alloys on, could well have been the same alloys! The car park was just up a hill very close to the BIC. Any takers? -
Top Tip! Ill be sure to keep that in mind!

Did you do your back lights? Why has it gone 'w**k'? What paint did you use? Ive just bought some savage light tinting paint. Hopefully you havent got the same stuff!!

Im not too sure. If i can find one that sits under the rubber then i might.

lol. Ive got PVW. I sent an email to a mate of your car 'coz hes thinking of buying a C, i saw him the next day and he had the pic as his desktop!! Top quality pics and write up IMO. The paint almost looks like a satin finish to me, but that could be just me! It was really nice to see the car in top-notch photos in such detail. Really showed off your attention to detail. If you didnt seem like such a nice guy, i think id hate you. Good work! -
According to this photo, its so fast it makes you sh*t yourself!

A work collegue enlightened me that one of her husbands friends "makes sports cars", and she had some contact details about these cars. Turns out they have a website. So not expecting anything apart from a slightly different kit car made in a garden shed i clicked on http://www.farboudsportscars.com/... Wow. It looks like an awesome car!! Theres only one in the world atm, the final prototype, but apparently 50 have already been ordered by US clients. Engines are available in two sizes: V6 2968cc pushing 275bhp, or the supercharged option pushing 375bhp. Heres the video, it sounds very tasty!! http://www.theratpac.com/events/2004/fa ... d_0112.avi Looks like a ferrari crossed with an elise IMO, which cant be a bad thing..can it...? Edit: Pic thumbnailed ;) -dinkus
