I wouldnt worry about that. For example there are avatars of 'men' wearing pink shirts... Looks like a fun project. Good luck.

Well i finished. (touch wood) Drove it to work this morning for the 1st time in 3 months. Brilliant. I love my car. :D I wouldnt have been able to do it without the help of this forum, and individual forum users. I am very very grateful. Hopefully with the knowledge ive picked up i will be able to return the favour, and help out others in need! Nick

Last night, i fired her up properly for the 1st time in 3 months after replacing the engine myself, with no mechanical knowledge. Today i drove it to work, and it was awesome!

I meant petrol leak. I had it wee weeing out, and replaced the FPR seal, like yourself, and that solved it. Update us/me tomorrow will you dude, and let us know what did and didnt solve anything!! Nick -
Looks tidy, but im with mrbeige on the indicators. How long has it been off the road now Dave? Where'd you get your IC from? Its a bit sh1t about the wheel, keep at them.

Ive got a very similair, if not the same problem. Everything was fine. No leaks, plenty of spark, fully charged battery. It turned out the timing was all over the place. Got that problem solved, but it still wont start. My engine temp gauge doesnt work, so when i get home tonight, i have a new sender waiting. If this doesnt solve my overfuelling problem, then i dont know whats gonna happen, and ill be paying attention to this thread!!! Nick -
peteTDI, i wanted that car so much!! Have you just bought it? Mars red centred oz turbos? I changed my fuel filter. It should have been so easy, but what an awkward job! lol.
-
Its been 3 months, but i get to drive it later on today... ;)

The temperature gauge in the dash wont register any temp change at all. Is this a possible factor for overfuelling? To get the temp gauge working i was gonna replace the sender. Is the engine temp sensor the blue one (next to a black one) sitting on top of the part that holds the oil filter? Cheers, Nick

Kick yourself in the ankle for a few more days off!

Prob £200 - £25- for the wheels? No idea on the charger.

Lol. Just picked up the part............ The little scrote that ordered my 'rubber seal' has got me in an 11pence metal nut..........................to say that i am angry wouldnt exactly be a good description right now. After 3 months, it is literally the only thing keeping my car off the road.

I shouldnt think it'll cost a grand for an alternator, starter motor, and sensor!! Can you not service the car yourself? Fuel filter, plugs, oil filter, and some new oil wont break the bank? I cant help you with the tax! Although if you say MOT is due at the end of the month, why dont you take it there and get them to sort the problems whilst theyre MOTing it. Nick

No longer needed. Supplied by VAG for 11p...lol.

http://cleaned.be/garage.php?action=toonmeer&id=79  What do you think?

Ill just thrown this one into the mixer for consideration... I could do with a holiday...? If not, then I'd source a big fat IC. And try and mount it where the Number plate recess is. I think that looks sick. Mod Edit: No need to swear and try and get round the swear filter. Just don't swear in the first place.

I dont understand yellow lenses. I think they are almost as bad as undercar neons... *edit* good progress on what your doing, and im sure itll make a good guide for the wiki too...?!

You can give me the ones you decide you dont like anymore. :D

What would your million pound car garage be?
Nick replied to jedi-knight83's topic in General Car Chat
The baby aston (name escapes me) - 80k IIRC Enzo - 500k (i think) *5 x Ground up Baja Bug (10k each?) for fun around my off-road track - 20k Wizard Roadster, again ground up - 15k *Some stupidly fast go-karts, and a course - 100k Mutsubishi Evo - the fastest one ever - 100k? And a celica to shut my gf up! And keep the change for fuel/repair bills. Multiple cars refers to ones for friends/or a certain day of the week. -
Very nice, any plans for it?
-
£25 for the seal...?! Just a very small rubber donut shaped seal? I think you have a full regulator. If you could post a pic, i might just take it from you anyway. Nick

Where am i likely to find one for a 91 G60? GSF dont seem to have one, and i dont want to wait for VAG. I want to order one now so i can have it tomorrow. Nick
