I hope its that simple. rear of the pod look like it accepts a VAG plug you find all over the car? Will it work if i get a few female connectors?

Still haven't made my mind up as to what I'm gonna do John. Purely because they are closer I might get the Phirm to do the transmission stuff. (Their website lists prices of approx £710 for chains, tensioners and clutch) That'll get me on the road so i can do some of the smaller less 'specialist specific' jobs either myself or at local garage. Then i can have a nice drive to Stealth for the remap plus a once over and anything thats left! That way i'll have an idea of what each garage is like and i'll know who i prefer :D Anyone had clutch & chains done at the Phirm?

Ok guys so I removed my early style gauges. and bought this passat climatronic wiring diags.pdf09062007139.jpg[/attachment:50c7e] behind the old gauge panel was this climatronic wiring-Golf from May 01.pdf09062007136.jpg[/attachment:50c7e] so how do I make these... 2.8l 24v Climatronic system.pdf09062007137.jpg[/attachment:50c7e] fit the back of the new pod which looks like this. 09062007138.jpg[/attachment:50c7e] Or do I have to bite the bullet and get a pro? Also the new pod came with an oil pressure sender, will that need fitting? I was under the impression it wouldnt as I had an oil pressure gauge in the old pod. Cheers

No problem matey... BJV had some nice cars and wheels in there including a blackbery Corrado VR with polished Audi TT Comps. It was very nice but a lil too shiny for my liking although it did get me tempted to have some work done :) Post up some pics when you get em back!
-
Peronally i'd stick em on the Golf if they're 17s but it's your call :D ...
-
I'm a fan... as long as they're in good nick I think they suit a C. I had a dilemma of these vs Audi RS6 5 spokes. My only reservation is that they should be 16" with the car low. cant go wrong with a sexy set of 5 spokes on a corrado. Plus you've got the option of then sticking them on the 4motion!

Thought about these for a while but they can get really manky if the laquer goes...
-
So this is the one!!!! Delivery should be done tomorra for ya.

plus VSR..... Already spoken to Stealth about the remap as its not been done since fitting the VSR and apparantly i'm in for a big surprise when thats done!!
-
i was thinking along those lines but the way i see it i'd just be paying for labour twice. especially with the samcos'. if the engine is out wouldnt it make sense to get stuff like that sorted at the same time?
-
i've never come close to paying that much money for work on a car! my car was mint when i bought it and to be fair i've really maintained it jus cant contemplate giving someone else two thousand pounds! Thing is i know it'll be worth it when its back at full strength!
-
i guess its some consolation but i'm really just thinking out loud. kinda in two minds about it all
-
hmmmmmmmmm decisions decisions. i was being a bit mor optimistic and aiming at the £1500 mark but £2k sounds more like it... and thats hoping my gearbox and bottom end are all ok :(
-
It's a 93 VR whose clutch has gone so I'm looking at doing a few bits at the same time. Thinking about taking it to Stealth cos its needs a remap anyhow but i guess i'm gonna be looking at a 4 figure bill and it makes me wanna hurl!! Got a few mates that can tackle the job but i guess receipts from a reputable garage are better for history etc. So here's the list of what needs to de done. Clutch Timing chains & tensioners Samcos Fitting 2 VT mounts Raceland 6 branch Got a rebuilt head to go in (as my oil stem seals were knackered) & headgasket fitting 288's and goodridges remap also hoping theres no damage to the gearbox or bottom end as it does smoke a bit under acceleration but isn't using oil!?! So what do we reckon this little lot will set me back chaps & chapesses Cheers Jay

They're electric. Got a new loom from zerocool so thanks very much to him. Wasn't too bothered about heated seats... I got a heater for that although it doesn't work properly in true Corrado fashion!
-
Yeah all make sense now... et voila!! One freshly built half leather electric recaro. What do we think? Not seen too many half leather ones
-
Cheers A1. Got it.. just gotta build the passenger side then stick em in!
-
do you mean here? it doesnt seem to hold...
-
Just got some half leather Recaros but they were sent to me in bits... Subframe is separated from the seat base which is also separated from the seat back. Anyway assembly doesn't look too hard all i can see is 6 bolts that will hold it all together but does anyone have any idea what this is and where it goes? there are four in total (two for drivers seat and two for passenger) it appears to be a washer but i want to be sure

Cheers Torsten. Funny thing is I looked at your gallery to get a look but couldn't quite make it out. Ok anyone know how much these are from vw? I seem to have broken mine

Anyone know if these are the same for lhd & rhd?
