Hmmmmmm... I don't see how "Rear wheel drive is better at getting the power down, but the rear loves to slide out around corners, making the car a bit of a handful" translates into "every front wheel drive car will understeer off into the hedge at every corner"!!? I get your point Cazza. Add the fact that boost kicking in mid corner will make an already tail happy car a bit more... well tail happy! Anyway back on topic those 200sx are ugly as hell but i really like em... explain that!

Couldnt really make out what it was! The reflection was what did it! guess it proves how good the new paint job is. Looking good anyway mate!

You won't believe how long it took me to realise that was an ariel... (missed the bit where it now quite clearly written "new ariel") Doh!!
-
Just what I wanted to hear (in a strange kind of way!) Any ideas how easy this is to change?

Thread resurrection time!! Vagcom came up with 00513 - no signal but that clears with the engine running so no probs there. I'm also getting 00513 intermittent fault. Car is misfiring between 1k and 2k revs. The intermittent fault has disappeared but the misfire hasn't. Would an intermittent fault with the crank sensor cause it to misfire?

Probably about time I started one of these threads!! Had the car over a year now and have put this off for ages. Anyway here goes... enjoy! climatronic wiring-Golf from May 01.pdfPicture_293.jpg[/attachment:d81da]. Quite a few changes since then but all will be revealed soon... or if u cant wait just look at my sig :D .... says it all really!

Hello mate the G60 is long gone! Sold it to Mike Edwards on here about a month or so after picking up the VR. I've always meant to do a gallery but never got round to it! Yeah i'm pretty much finshed but getting the urge for more power.... oh yeah I'm liking the new valver :D
-
Well deserved mate... very nice Corrado
-
Don't worry fella the VR6 is being looked after ;)
-
I like it a lot.... but then I'm bound to :D !!

Very true mate. Its on, has turned that lovely gold/purple colour and looks beatuiful but you can feel the heat coming off it a mile away!! Also my under bonnet temps are slightly hotter than I'd like. I understand that stainless steel doesn't keep the heat in like the original manifold does and an unwrapped one won't perform as well as a wrapped one. Could be wrong though.... Sounds pretty cool too :D

Couldn't find the answer on a search so here goes. Need to wrap a Raceland 6 branch manifold and not sure how much of the stuff i'll need. Thermotec do it in: 2" x 50' (15.24 metres) 1" x 50' (15.24 metres) 1" x 15' (4.57 metres) So do I go for the 1" thick or the 2" and how many packs of each. Cheers

very smart... how did you do the rear calipers? Still gotta get round to doing mine!

Thanks for all the replys guys. It only seems to do it on the drivers side seat which normally has me in it putting load on the motor. The motor for the back rest doesn't work (tested the switches so I know it's not those). Passenger side seems fine It works for a while but then goes pop just when I think all is well. The seats weren't fitted by me but by a mate who is pretty clued up. As for whether there's a relay, I don't think so. The loom from zerocool had a VW plug connection to each seat, an inline fuse (which keeps dying :( ), a connection to the fuse box and an earthing point. I'm on the hunt for a motor to fix the rake adjustment but wouldn't have thought that would be the cause. Flyferrari I might have to take you up on your offer!

Any ideas guys? And how safe is it to keep increasing the amps? Would a 40 amp be ok?
-
Nah me neither.... i'd happily stick an industrial size 1000 amp fuse in there to get over the problem... but not if it means they might one day set alight!! :D
-
Not tried it yet but theres gotta be a reason they keep blowin. Also it came with a 20amp as to suggest that would provide enough resistance?
-
Right so I've got my electric seats in. Wired em up with a loom from zerocool. The damn things keep blowing fuses!? Started with a 20amp and have worked my way up to a 35 which still went pop :? Any ideas?
-
Very nice!! (But then I would say that!)
-
Cheers mate i know that these badges are 75mm x 15mm. I need to know the dimensions of the embroidered logo on the original Corrado Recaros so i'll know whether these will cover that. Cheers
-
Might give that a go! If it looks poop then i'll just get these, cut the pins off and stick em on
-
Yeah I know but a blue logo on my Grey/Black seats just looks wrong to me :D . Just wanna know if i can pin/stick these over the embroidery on my cloth?
-
I never understood why my black and grey half leather recaro's have blue recaro logo's on them :? As such I fancy replacing them with these....4f_1_b.jpg[/attachment:0fefa] Anyone know if I'll damage my seats pushing these in? Also can someone do a quick measurement of the Recaro logo on Corrado seats as my car is still at the Phirm :( Been advised that these are 75mm by 15mm and want to make sure they'll cover up the out of place logo on my seats! Ta muchly

Polo GTI... Thoughts, opinoins and reviews please
JayGT replied to veedub's topic in General Car Chat
These are very nice 8) ! A mate of mine had a 51 plate in Reflex Silver. Best looking of all the Polos by a mile. Well built, smooth and quick little thing. I sometimes think they're a bit girly but strangely I'd probably drive one (dunno if that makes me a big girls blouse!)
