Yeah, not forgotten! Still got the show winning folder! Even check this out from time to time... http://www.matey-matey.com/vr6.shtml
-
haha! Any other former owners gonna surface!? I'm good thanks fella, still got a few ideas for the car but nothing too crazy! How you doing? Back in a Corrado?
-
Cheers matey, was only ever after silver or grey... And yeah the Recaro's were a nightmare to find!
-
Yeah, sounds cool. Not sure if it needs an alarm, but will explain more when I contact you Andy. Want to get the bodywork sorted first really. Cheers, Jason

Yeah when I bought it it had a debadged grille... 2.8l 24v Climatronic system.pdfPicture_292.jpg[/attachment:27zgad11] Not really my cup of tea so I swapped the original one over from the G60 I had at the time. The Miltek is still sweet, I fitted a decat which sounds nice and deep whithout being ridiculous! The VSR is quality, when I first had it fitted it was like a mini turbo boost at low revs! Too used to it now but side by side against other VRs you notice it. Oh and the remap from Stealth released the true potential! The engine never died as such but started to smoke quite badly on the overrun (at about 120k I think) and I was pretty sure it was the valve stem seals. Was going to just have the top end rebuilt but this came along... DSC00351.JPG[/attachment:27zgad11] So bought it and had it all fitted and life is good again!

YES WAYYYYYYYYY!!! I'm sure that can be arranged! I'm based in North London so not tooo far I think!? Well when i bought it, it had been lowered on FK suspension. Miltek exhaust. and loads of Audioscape goodies inside. Looked like this... stromlaufplan_gamma4.pdfPicture_293.jpg[/attachment:2b3iabsw] Since then I've VSR'd it... BMC'd it...Recaro'd it...been through Solitudes, Borbet Cs & Es and its now on BBS RXs and engine replace with a rebuilt one... Anyway, Pics... most recent one on the BBS' needs the wing sorted so will have a few other goodies done at the same time...

You mean this one? 23042008154 (Medium).jpg[/attachment:2k1c12qx] Not standard but well looked after! What's the opposite of sod's law? It must be this as I was thinking of having a new alarm fitted or at least getting my central locking looked at, could kill 2 birds with one stone if I come and see you!

I would be interested as well. Mine is tight as tight can be... This the ticket? http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stor ... yId_165629 Any reason to get an original over this?
-
Fingers crossed... let us know how you get on...

True... however my flap :norty: was catching on the cam cover... Vince had to dremel a bit of the cover away. As the VSR was designed for OBD1 engines I think it is designed to work with the early metal covers. My car has a later plastic one and was restricting movement of the flap. Oh and Vince is at CV47 2PT.
-
As above. Had the same problem where there is a surge of power that quickly trails off. Turns out the flap wasn't working properly. A visit to Vince soon sorted that out... plus a remap of course!
-
Can't see how it's just worked itself loose though
-
Think this might be my problem... Could be driving along windows down, sunroof open and out of nowhere the power cuts, windows close and alarm arms itself. Sorry for the thread hijack but sounds like might be you're issue as with a stall you'd get a hiccup or rough idle then engine cut. Thing is the negative terminal has been done up tight as it'll go but still just slides off the post!? New cable connection anyone?
-
Very nice! Who doesn't love a milf! Any pics of the rat!?
-
Guy, could you recommend me some plugs? You might be able to convince me to spend more with you guys! It's 2.9 VR6. Mod's as follows - BMC, Full miltek inc decat, VW VSR & Shrick 268 cams. Cheers,
-
Great offer!! Just ordered 11 litres of Silkolene Pro S 10w - 50 & an VR oil filter for less than a ton delivered! Jason

Evening all, I have got the chance of getting a full set of Powerflex bushes for good money, I already have the front (rear) wishbone ones which tightened up the steering nicely. Fom using the search I know they're to be a bit harder than VAG ones, but I'm just wondering if anyone has fully polybushed their car (VR6)? Is it unbearable and if so a full set of original VAG ones will cost roughly how much? Cheers 89f4_1.jpg[/attachment:nxquw90o]

Got a 2.9 one that I bought off AB on here. Not sure of milage but I know valve stem seals had been changed and roughly 100 miles done before his bottom end went and I bought it...
-
Oh yeah it fits in the spare wheel well... guess you just need someone with a sub in there to see this now!
-
You can get a 16" space saver which was fitted to late Mk3 Golfs. Fits over the 288's at the front so pretty sure it'd fit over the 280 rears?
-
Don't look quite right to me but it's your car matey...
-
Time for a thread resurrection.... Anybody got any other pics? Found these 2 so far. corrado.jpg[/attachment:bk7fy2e6]

You can get a spacesaver that fits fine over 288's. I got mine off ebay for a tenner. Just get one for a Passat or late Golf VR as they all had 288's as standard.
