I could not keep up with one down the A24 in my eight valve mk 2 gti....they are quick once going...... If I could get one of these on my company Id be tempted but the grade Im on only gets me the 1.9 tdi SE, a lot slower so I'll take the allowance and enjoy my old VW's.......

Fitted today as the old exhuast was just about falling off.... Asked for standard looking,no fancy tailpipes but just a little bigger :twisted: , orig. pipes were 2" so I opted for 2.5". Really happy with the way it turned out :D

Sent three Revolution alloys off to re-furb @ spit n polish, two came back with an excellent job done, third was returned for another go by the dealer who said it was not up to scratch. Should have been returned today but I have been told the finish has reacted with the polished lip causing pitting......they will try again! Anyone have any experiance with this as the way Im thinking if they cant do it on the third attempt then its unlikely they will be able too! Dealer even said the quality of the alloy R********* use is not good! cheek! Tempted to tell them if they cant get the finish right on the third attempt just return the wheel as it is with no charge and I will purchase a new alloy and use that as a spare! Any thoughts

sent three modernline's off to be refurbed @ spit n'polish..........put a set of G60 BBS on and fitted a sub and components to my golf....

Bought one of these for my Golf along with some Vibe components for the front. The 10" active tube was £149 half price apparently....despite having a foam surround to the sub, the kit is nicely built and sounds excellent. Recommended http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk

....sold the vectra, bought a MK2 8 valve instead.....could not live with the CDX's drink problem.....Autotrader will no doubt be blocking my private add's again soon claiming Im a Trader! If im right the revenue allow about 7 sales per year! Those rears are well vulnerable to kerbing mate ! Mine have only been on 6 months and they need a re-furb already!

I was thinking of an A3 tdi before the mk2 came up, wanted a car that was gonna do a few mpg and be cheap to run. Take the badges off and get some Audi 17's or 18's, would look sweet imo

New arrival to the driveway. Top mounts,lower arms, roll bar bushes should bring this Gti back to life! :lol:

....anyone know what an eight valve Mk 2 Gti should be run on? Im guessing nothing more than standard is reqd? Or should I use semi?

per the website they have brand new Borbet A's £399 per set and a Rallye Intercooler at £350 (not sure if this includes U-Bend) :)

paint work is never cheap especially if he's got to grind the rust away or cut it out.....sounds ok to me

if i remeber what G-Werks did to mine you should not alter the slam panel or body at all, think he cut a vein or two off the intercooler and used a slim line fan with my existing rad.......send him an email........
