I'm just in the process of fitting some audi A6 handles to mine after someone had ago at my door too  hopefully it'll deter them, but like you said can't leave ur car anywhere without someone having a go! And if they can't break in, they'll probably get the key out  little pr*cks

JimsG60's Corrado G60 (New pics taken 13/03/2005)
Shilakadaddy replied to Jim's topic in Members Gallery
Oooh nice 8) suit it really well. I have to say I really like your car, just looks to be in such good condition, simple and clean :D -
damn! this sounds like its gonna be one serious machine!! Another corrado idol in the making :D 8)

I think it looks better when the whole grille is sprayed (for dark colours) but better with just the top bar sprayed for lighter or more contrasting colours (i.e. red or yellow) also yes that is awesome! Edit: I class your car as being a dark colour, so whole thing sprayed :)

Group Buy: Indiglo black Corrado dials - Abandonned
Shilakadaddy replied to Andi's topic in Interior
Sorry, drop me off the list Not as keen to be honest... Those images are a bit different to the DDI dials that were shown by Andi at the start of the thread... and thats the style I wanted. If they look good on the car then I'll maybe pick up one of the 2nd sets that'll hopefully be floating around after this has gone through. Sorry for any inconvenience. -
Just a shame they're so far down south for me :( However I did post my supercharger off to them a couple of days ago, so hopefully I'll get that back soon, and get my G60 back on the road
-
I'm driving around in a cav at the moment (getting supercharger rebuilt)... beware people this monster *ahem* must be pushing out a good 60bhp  I want my G60 back so bad!!!
-
I thought the boot was bigger than it actually is, and now have realised that if I want my install to look nice (rather than just be a big box) I have to run my subs in a sealed enclosure :( Hopefully once I get my second sub, then I'll have a nice install to show off on here... but it will be kinda 'out there' but hopefully not in a bad way. :)

The chrome surrounds can be bought from http://www.tachoringe.de/default.html They're quite expensive for what they are .. look nice tho :) Might also be worth checking on ebay.co.uk or the german ebay.de for "tachoringe" as they're sometimes on there a little cheaper. -
my favourite *looking* C is the one below.. don't think its on this forum tho..

well we've made an odd system of bars and levers... however the problems will come when trying to assemble it all once the plates are welded in place (only a small gap to feed it through) I will post pictures of what we're up to soon. Still looking for a bit of guidance tho

Ok guys I'm currently installing the audi door handles on my corrado, I've seen that quite a few people on here have done this already, and was wondering if they could halp me out? So far I've got to the stage of cutting a hole in my door (lol not very far) and before I go any further I need to know the best way to actually make the mechanism work... How have people transferred the motion of the audi door mechanism to the original corrado one? or has a new lock been introduced etc? I'm sure there are many ways of doing it, I'm just trying to work out the best one Cheers for any help, Chris

I'd say if you're in a position to take on your dream project, then go for it! 8) I think we all have a dream project car and would love to undertake the challenge of building it straight away, but until we can fund it and justify it (other priorities etc...) then we take on less expensive or time consuming projects. If you don't feel that you want to go any further with the corrado, then don't. Thats not to say sell it, because you may not be able to move onto the next project just yet... but like I said, if you can... then I know I certainly would  Personally I'd love to see you go all the way with the corrado (something sounds very wrong with that...) because with the plans you have, you'd create a C that would be near impossible to better :)

Anubis VR6 - New Wheels......new suspension coming soon!
Shilakadaddy replied to anubis's topic in Members Gallery
8) Love those wheels, been wanting some ever since first seeing them (or rather the RZ's on a golf) can't afford them just yet tho... probs won't get them till the new year... Good choice anyway, look good :D -
also how come your changing the wheels to 17's? I would have thought they'd look a little lost after having 18's and with the bodykit on the car...?
-
I think your car would look a whole lot better without those spikey bonnet vents
-
I think biggerbigben's C is going to be my favourite when its complete. I can apprieciate that Lee's and renshaws are mint motors... but for some reason they just don't do much for me. Whereas bens is going to be close to my dream corrado :D

Angel eyes look crap - official - actually not too bad now
Shilakadaddy replied to pablo_vr6's topic in Exterior
ah doesn't look too bad, I can see what you mean about the light being too wide for them tho... could you not move the inner ring a big further to the middle? that would probs make it look a lot better... but I guess it would be a fair bit of work too :( Makes it look quite mean tho :) -
wow! Great pics Phat! suddenly gives the car even more appeal! those rims look awesome in motion
-
That was a really interesting read, thanks for doing that :) Just taken my supercharger off and am about to send it off to G-Werks for a stage 4 rebuild... its good to know whats actually involved in rebuilding this unit :)

Biggerbigben - Golf sold.. another new project!
Shilakadaddy replied to biggerbigben's topic in Members Gallery
 Sweet!!! As with everyone else I cannot wait to see this complete! I already really like the exterior (namely how low the car is), its hugely powerful... and now will have a totally original interior... a new idol among corrado's I think  :D -
I think thats the first red VR I've actually seen Looks in great nick 8)

Sorry to keep bringing this thread back to life, but more interesting (to me at least) findings of the oil temperature readings... Managed to get 140 C on the way to E38, which is always good news  (this is just doing a constant 80 - 90mph too) However I noticed that on the way back the temperatures were steady a good 10 C lower than on the way there, despite it being hotter outside.... until I turned my lights on, and then the oil temp went up 10 C :?: Turn the lights off, and it dropped back down... Is it just me, or does this seem a bit odd :|

i saw my first Golf Limited in person the other day...
Shilakadaddy replied to Red=Fast's topic in General Car Chat
16v G60 4WD!!! cooooooooool!! :D:D But do both the corrado versions look like that yellow thing? -
really don't like the front, however I think the rest could be worked with (little bit scoopy and venty as it is). But from the back it does look rather mean
