Those wheels look sweet -
I want to run a fuel pressure sensor on my car and have the pressure displayed on a digital readout. I've seen they have them on diesels and the tfsi engines so thinking of using one of those, So assuming I get one of these and the signal output is 0-5v I will need to calibrate it by confirming its output at various pressures. I dont easily have access to any setup that can put a known pressure using liquids but I can do it using air pressure, would using air pressure on it be the same as putting a liquid pressure? Cheers

Just for reference, VW's instructions from their service manuals

I'm sure you've already found this forum but if you haven't, take a look, they regularly have uprated fuel pumps for sale http://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/

I'll second that :) -
Yep, and the sensor takes the place of the cable, bolts on whare the cable would screw on, it has a square peg that goes in where the cable would normally go, it has a reed switch and magnet type setup that creates the squaure wave as it spins
-
Looks like a good solid car to start on
-
I assume the square post that replaces the end of the cable has snapped, I fixed mine by gluing it back on, lasted for a while so I could find another one

I've read how the Skoda Oktavia glass roof fits but does anyone know if you can just change the glass panel for the metal panel on a rado mechanism?

Unfortunately alot of these tuners have never been taught how to solder properly I had an APR chip on my Bora that was absolutly awful
-
I guess you'd call them OEM+ Soon to be seen on E38 cars
-
If it managed to dislodge once then it could easily do it again, might be an idea to tie the chip in, some cotton will do it, just thread it under the chip carrier and over the top of the chip. Tieing in chips used to be common practice when in a carrier before surface mount components became common place A small blob of nail varnish on the knot will ensure it doesnt come out again Remember to ground yourself when opening an ECU just in case of static
