Doubt it, the guys in his 30's/40's and likes his cars from what she says but you never know!
-
That would have been logical! She's a woman!
-
My verdict? I almost wish I was a gimp with leather like that!
-
You'll be even more peed off when you find out I bought the car for £2600! (VR6 with recent rebuild!) Just a tad bit of rust to take care of and she'll be a minter! :)

Cleaned with Autoglym Leather Cleaner and then wiped down with a damp cloth and buffed up with a dry one. Then I used Autoglym's Leather Treatment, rubbed in and left for a few mins then buffed up with a dry cotton cloth. My back is killing me! You can see in pic1 the before and after. Drivers seat has being done, the passengers only cleaned, not treated.

My missus has being telling me about this car at work she says "is nice and sporty", but women being women she doesn't know what make or model it is, even after seeing it day after day! All she remembers is it's smallish, it's not got a flat back (like a lupo or corsa for example) and it has a spoiler, oh, and its 'sporty'! Thats incredibly vague! I finally managed to get out of her that it has "small twin circle headlights". I've shown her pictures of the following cars, but its not them; Toyota Celica, Lupo GTI, MG ZR, Lotus Elise and Hyundai Coupe. Any ideas on what it could be? She's sure she'd recognise it if she saw it again.

Best move they could have done!

£45 or £2000 Hmm? One thing that I'm doing it for is so I know which panels need a respray. Once I get rid of a bit of ruse and get the bonnet resprayed, that should be it. This polish should bring up the rest of the bodywork.
-
Ooops, not just Leeds, they do "Leeds, Harrogate, York , Wetherby and the surrounding areas".
-
Keighley! :-P
-
They go as far as York but theres bound to be companies all over that do the same.
-
Another £45 if I want the full leather interior and carpets etc done too! I wont put the company name in here cause it'll get moved by someone no doubt then! If anyone wants there website just pm me. Leeds/Bradford area only of course.
-
Just spoke to a valeting company based in Leeds and they're going to come to me and give the C, which has been neglected a bit by prev owners, a proper machine polish. Plenty of swirls and that kind of stuff. This will basically bring it up to as good as the bodyworks going to get without a respray, so it should show me what I'm up against at least! All this will take about 2.5-3 hours and they come to you! The cost! £45! Bargain! Thats just for the polish, no interior or anything, I can do that myself! Proper company too, checked out their website.

Most Practical = Lupo Wipers (I can now drive in the rain!) Favourite/Most Desirable Mod = Carbon Bonnet

This is getting worse! Now it happens when I see another car thats wanting a rumble! I need help!
-
Mine comes on some days, and not others. More like an "Always Breaking System" for me!
-
Is there anyway to wire the C so that when you open the doors a buzzer sounds to let you know your lights are still on? The fact I can't see them at the mo (pre loom upgrade) and that I'm used to cars letting me know, means I keep on nearly walking off with the parking lights on! Anyone done this before?
-
Nice one cheers! I'll give it a go! I can just picture me driving down the road, chuffed to bits after fitting it, then watching the steering wheel come off in my hands! Arrrrrrrgh!

Hello again, mechanical numpty here! Got a prob with indicators sometimes not working (its on another thread in this area). Basically, I've bought a new indicator stalk off ebay (£18, brand new VW! 8) ). The only trouble is, I've no idea how to swap em out as its like a complete unit as opposed to just a stalk which I expected. I've bought a new cowl for the steering column, so I'll be removing that anyway, just wondered how I swap this out? Steering wheel off? Quick step by step would be great as I am a mechanical novice! (At least, for now! :) ) Cheers

From the thread title it sounds like you've got a intermittant missing problem?

After much reading on here about the VR and hot oil issues, as well as the fact I'm sat in traffic quite a bit, I thought I'd invest in one of the Mocal Oil Coolers. Noticed I'd just missed a group buy for them I decided to ring G-Werks up and spoke to Darren. Chatted a bit and when I asked the price he told me that one person from the group buy never rang up to pay so I could have that one for £150 (inc vat + del) instead of the usual £194! Talk about lucky! Let's hope when it gets to summer that my VR wont become a mobile BBQ now!
-
Rough price of the unit+parts?
-
Interested to know the full price of these fitted too. Before summer idealy!
