  1. Back from the dead. Is this project still going on, or you've put it on hold for a while?
  2. I always search before I ask and couldn't find anything other than people starting new topics asking if everyone knows about the new angel eyes. [EDIT] Besides after the nightmare of driving my Corrado across Canada with those candles, I am willing to get it done once and for all now.
  3. how about HID's anyone care to chime in?
  4. Is anyone on here runing HID's through angel eyes? I prefer the standard light over them but HID and normal lights are supposed to have a very negative effect on oncoming drivers, but angel eyes can take it. Trying to make up my mind which route I should go because I desperately need a loom but there's no point to get it if I'm going HID from what I understand.
  5. Thanks, I'l have a look then, I want to know for sure. Yes it is cold especially during this time of year, that day was somewhat warm though. [EDIT] Yep, LA9V it is and loving it. Always bothered me if I wanted a dark blue or a black and this seems to switch between both!

    bah out of all things wrong with this car...the dipstick had to be shorter than it should be. It's all good it could have been much worse I guess.

    I'm aware of that but wouldn't it at least read low oil pressure or have the buzzer come on? I'm going to measure it today as well.

  10. Good to hear, but if the thread is gone then what would need to be replaced for it to go in... Please don't tell me it goes straight to the chasis.

    I have that problem with mine. It's supposed to have had an oil change and the oil pressure is at max when driving hard but the dipstick shows no oil...even after it siting all day :?
  14. Yes sounds very much like it. Thanks for the quick response, will get one and hope it will fit. Is this as serious as I think it is? to have it resting on 3 bolts instead of 4?

  17. Thanks and it's true, although I haven't aken it that high just yet, I know that the rev limiter will do that. That's fine because I can just redline it without worry, knowing that it can go higher anyway.
  18. do you happen to still have a passenger interiour door sill in black? how about a black cover for where the front seatbelts bolt up, also in black. If you do then we can surely arange something.
  19. I see, are you positive though? because I saw the engine mount resting on it, this is in between the front bumper and the control arms.
  20. Well whatever the horespower may be, she howls and pulls in any gear like it's on steroids. Double 6s do your coilovers make the ride softer than a spring/strut setup? might look into it since I hate having 17's on her right now but they just look so good...

After a quick look underneath the car, thought it was quite odd that at the front engine mount, where it sits on top of a wide bar at the very front, spreading front the left side of the car to the right, it had two bolts on the right side but only one on the left???! :shock: It's missing a bolt and it appears to be very long. Can you guys picture what this is and the name of it or even better the part#? I was told that this can cause a lot of damage to the drivetrain since the engine may get some unwanted play, therefore want to get it fixed ASAP, but need to know what to ask for at the parts store. Oh, and it's a VR6. Thanks

  23. This will be the progress page where I will record most of the mods that my very first Corrado will and has already suffered. I've been dreaming about these cars for many years before affording one and intend to keep the dream alive by bringing it up to standard. I picked it up a few thousand Km away from home, and drove it on the way back with my father. It was an interesting experience, to say the least, but I will never forget it. It had many issues at that time. Add to that some problems that were cause by myself and the end result is a lot of work and barely any driving time (seven days in one year!). Then again, I know that I am, by far, not the only Corrado owner with this problem :lol: Here is all the "good" that I got when the deal got sealed: Engine: -Bored to 2.9L -Knife-edged crank -Bottom end balanced and blueprinted to 9000 rpms -Turn 2 / CCH Big Valve Head -Turn 2 VR6 Crank Pulley -Turn 2 CAI -Turn 2 Stage IV Motor Mounts -Red Samco Hoses Transmission: -Peloquin LSD -Lightened Flywheel Suspension: -Bilstein Sports with H&R Sport Springs Interior/ICE: -Tan leather (7/10 condition) -Jetta Moonroof (fitted horribly) -Black Carpet & center console -Boston Acoustics speakers all around, with crossovers. -2 JL 10"
  24. wow, now that just made my day. Surprizingly I didn't find anything posted about the head in the archives. There are many many many things that were taken care of, that's the reason why I'm flying across the country for it :wink: Sadly though, after just a week or two of enjoyment it's back to the Chavalier for the winter :(
