thanks for replies ,the oil level is always keeped at max ,also just changed oil and filter.and noise still there .is it possible to change the tentioner pad without removing the gearbox,also do you have to remove the intake manifolds to get the camcover off. cheers. brian.

hi got a vr6 97r-reg booo.and have a slight noise at about 1-2k around the timing chain area -g-box.......cars done about 50-60k alls good .should i worry -or not yet . cheers . brian. 8)

:D :D thanks all got them working again was a bad connection at the control box ,as i removed connecter blocks to clean them ,when refitting i heared the relay click and they started working , so unless there is a sticky relay its now o.k. out of interest does anyone know how much the control boxes are to buy . cheers brian :D

other day got in my car as soon as i turned on the ignition the passsenger window went down on its own ,and now both elec windows have stopped working.yes it has an alarm that closes windows when you hold down the remote,could this be the problem. also has anyone else had this problem before ,hope its not expencive. i dont know what it is with these cars,as other people say you fix one thing then somthing else goes wrong. could it be a relay and witch one is for eleci windows. :roll: any pointers would be great. cheers. brian

thanks for all replies will adjust it to about 0.5 degrees ,today and poss take it toget tracking done later as i have camber gauges but no tracking gauges.

hi as title says ,getting noise through speakers with engine running [poss alternater noise].ive had this before on mk1 golfs and gave up and removed amp . but this time i am determind to sort it out .its a 800w amp wired up correctly -direct batt +,and decent ground to body ect . can anyone make any suggestions as to what to try next.as im not to good with i.c.e... much apprciated. only want a good sound and is better with an amp. :? brian

was wondering what people are setting the camber on the front suspention. i have a g60 raddo with coilovers just fitted and only lowered about 20-30mm. any suggestions for geometary settings ,and poss best place to get it done in the heathrow area would be great . cheers. brian. :)

i have similer problem ,i bought cheap [£50] alpine components for the front and they also sound tinny ,also now have an amp fitted to them with big speaker wire ,and still sound tinny..... what is the answer??? is it worth buying realy exspensive speakers for the front

those top mounts look a bit shagged ,i now have all coilovers fitted ,have it lowered to -20to30mm its a little harsh but a hugh improvement over std set up .liking it ,just need to get tracking done .anyone got any recommendations in the heathrow area 8)

richi sfob could you tell me what was the max height you could get .just fitted the rears and has dropped by about 45mm.from standard ,also have you still got the helper springs fitted,if so are they to the top.also how do they cope with speed bumps. cheers bg :)

hi just got a set of raceland coilovers [secondhand] and would like to know if they require bump stops. also what is the minamal drop.also again do the helper springs go at the top or the bottom. cheers . :roll:

hi at the moment i have the front wishbones [powerflex] and have to say they are a so much better than standard,but my std front-rears were totally shaged.i would recommend powerflex pollys at front rears,as a must or you could spend more and get some vibratechnics, i paid £33 for powerflex front rears.and vibs are about £60each . hope this helps . brian :)

as title says ,seen a kit [spax psx top adj]from a golf mk2 gti would it fit a corrado g60. now i know the spings maybe a differant poundage ect but only looking to use the shocks with std hight springs would this work ok. cheers brian
