Eveything cleaned and re-seated, alternator and battery's puting out plenty of juice (13.6 from memory). So next port of call is the ABS relays... anyone know where they are in a 9a? Assuming the one's in the bay itself?? :shrug:

You'll need to remove the cards to get the speakers out as the pockets have to come off... 5 minute job though... couple screws on the edges, 2 in the handle (look at the bottom for a slot to put a big flat blade in to seperate the 2 halves), couple screws in teh door pods themslves, then remove the trim round the interior handle, the "mirror" trim (triangle bit - pulls off) and unscrew the door pin at the top.. card will then just pull out (work from bottom front corner) be careful when pulling from the window trim at the top as these are hard to get hold of!... Refitting, (as Haynes says) is the reverse of removal... helps to have a hand just to line everythiung up... and use some cotton wrapped round the door pin to help line it back into the hole in the card... The speaker's held in the pod by 4 small "speed-nuts"

Noob Rear wiper question... can it be adjusted? Mine's wiping onto the rubber (pass side) and would like it to sit a bit flatter rather than outer end up.... If that makes sense... As to wipers, I've used Bosch Spolier blade wipers and seem ok...

Gonna try and get a mate with Vag-com along.. see if we can do a seaky scan... How much of the engine etc does it cover on an A4? Guessing most of it? Pat am a complete noob to the Audi V6 where's the Air pump? What does it and how does a fail manifest itself? Already read up on the suspension issues of these and Passats!

I know a few of you here have had experience with the A4 and Audi V6's... So before I go look at one at the weekend I was hoping for some pointers what to look out for? It's an A4 2.8 Avant... Not a quattro though :( I have seen the "recall" (not admitted by Audi-uk) for the steering joints and A-Arms... but any other weak points?

Yeah sounds like one of the horizontal "Springs" has snapped.. had this with a Rocco seat, but it decided to come through the front of the seat! :eek: Have a complete un-ripped crossover spec interior for sale if you need one? (early cards and late style flat bench)

And if there's an LED replacement for the fillament "backlight" bulbs? :confused4:

Hate to do this... but... Corradofuze and Lloyd1965... both said 100% they'd take the interior I have for sale and then tell me they're on holiday for a week and then come back and just ignore my PM's asking when they will pick up... :censored: Don't like being messed about... Fluid ws changed in April (new discs/pads) and ecu was checked at the same time.. got no white/green fuzz on the connectors... Taken me this long to get it VAG-Com'd Would really like this sorted ASAP as the missus is due in 6 weeks and want it done before then as she'll be using the car after JR's born (only car)

Does no one know which are the ABS relays on a 9a?? :( May save me £60+ on another ECU... and then a pump if that doesn't work...

If you're geting coilies go for full VAG ones.. I've gone up to VR ones on my valver as logic says they should wear better with the lighter engine..

Sensors and cages are all ok... replaced rear cages and cleaned up all sensors a while ago... Anyone know which relays to replace on a 9a??

Been having ABS issues on my 92 9a, Valver... so had it Vag-com'd .. cleared down a load of fault codes and than took it for a run.. got the following: 1 Fault Found: 01276 - ABS Hydraulic Pump (V64) 16-00 - Signal Outside Specifications Looking at Google seems to run the whole range from fuses to pumps to control units! So what should I be looking at? Which Relays? (cheapest fix) Wiring, (hate wiring) Control unit, (ouch) or replacing the whole pump? (walet screems) :shrug: :scratch:

Ah ha that's where it got to! Good to see it being looked after again! Saw it at Players on Sunday When you bought it did it also have a stock wheel as well as the red/black one in it? If so can I have my stock wheel back please? :)
