Something to do with the font... hence the plate recognition not seeing it.. However on teh newer breed digital cameras if tehy cant Grab the number it's flagged for a manual operator to check.. so even if you go through on D-font plates if they see it's a RHD and UKish reg will run you through DVLA... So no escape there.. TBH even if they could read all plates as we're not linked to the other european databases and that looks unlikely... they still won't be able to do anything. However the number of RHD PL/LT plated cars in east London's beginning to take the Pi$$....

Andy.. go with yellow/whites next time slightly less obvious.. Or ask Dubmeister if they'll do LT/PL plates.. then we can all drive around with complete immunity to being stopped! Must admit I'm nervous about mine, but at least I have a set of smashed plates in the boot to show them! MAybe I should reomve the Stadt stickers to make them a little more "legal"? NAH....:lol: Best of luck getting them back... Think they maybe a plate crack down happening ATM as read somewhere else (ED?) that similar had happened to a guy with "Show" plates...

It's called the M25 mate! I'm with Jim on the SUV ownership.. Fine if you need a 4x4 but these people generally will go for a "Proper" one... the rest are just noncy school-run badly driven/parked wastes of space owned by people who think that as soon as you have a kid you have to go and buy the biggest car you can... Thats pretty much the same as me mate, but for the price I paid for the LC, you wont get an LCR, and the S3's in that price range arent the best. The Rado.....well Ive just left one of the better ones and fancied a change. Also, an S3 probably isnt much (if at all) quicker due to the weight of the 4WD???? Not sure though. Not interested in a Lupo/Fabia, just not my cup o tea :wink: Dunno, but I test drove a mk1 s3 130TDi with Quattro GMBh handing pack on it and it was pretty quick (not roadburning) had the TCS light flashing in 1/2 on the damp test drive (scared the dealer rep in the passenger seat), and went round corners really well.. Wonder what it would be like with a "Chipping" session.. hmmmm... and it was Merlyn Purple too

Also I f you have the VIN IIRC VW uk will confirm specs etc for a small fee.. but then I'm probably wrong (I often am according to those who know me!) Could try a feeler on the Scirocco register to see what to look for other than wheels/paint and leather as 2 of the 3 aren't there....
