Had this dicusion with Bill (VR6) and Yeti a few months ago.. appears all VR's from a certain year got the shut grill... Only idea we can see was aerodynamics as teh VR was supposed to push the 150 envelope, so less air entering the upper part of the bay means less pressure, more slippery car... plus most Rad's air comes in through the lower grille in the bumper apparently. Yeti explained something about the "balling" effect in the front of the car effectivly producing a wedge in front but I'd drifted off looking at Bill's RS's :lol:

AFAIK the reflectors are no longer available from VW and haven't been for a long time. You can only buy a complete unit*. I am interested in your comment about ARZ. Who is that? How much do reflectors cost? I have a headlight with a badly corroded reflector because the previous owner ignored a hole in the glass and badly need a new reflector. EDIT: * correction, you can still buy the glass lens separate, which is around £25. Left-Side Right-side

i think i already have them abotu £16 each? Yup they're the ones... So other options are new reflectors (still available from VAG? if not ARZ sell them) and clean out the glass front and back.. Just don't expect them to be on a par with Modern/HID lights though..

Yup and not cheap from my "Mini" source either (Guy who works at Cowley).. He can't actually get them for his Mini as they are special order..he did offer me 18" Cooper Works wheels though.. hmmm You wont get them cheap anywhere unless you get a second hand set. if you want them in the correct fitting - you'll be looking at 2k+ i think after shipping. you may need spacers and of course tyres. Yup and it's better.. more on the distance stuff like roadsigns and cats eyes.. Will get even better when I fanally get round to replacing the yellowing reflectors and cleaning the glass front and back too! Now All I need is a Late N/S headlight lense..
