  1. IMHO.. Keep it simple... 3-bar and black badge front colour-coded rear (no 16v badges) That's what I have, I also have a de-badged 3-bar but not that sure of the look.. I think Chrome bages break the Flow and make the car look narrower... if you see what I mean?
  2. Yeah next year will be.. if Plato doesn't go to the WTCC... If not they'll be knocking 7 bells out of each other I recon... I wonder if Neal saw that the new Civic's not a proper contender under super 2000 rules? But to Jump ship on your dad when he built a team around you.... pah.... Strange that Vauxhall, despite their BTCC success still won't enter WTCC (Ok they have the "GM"s there already but not really relevant to the European market). I guess as more brands come under one banner they'll be less "Factory" entrants in touring... It'll be a sad day if the Europen touring car scene becomes a two horse race like Oz... But then again Oz Supercars are just the best to watch... BTW met both these guys, Jason "BakedPotato" is extremely approachable and friendly.... MuttMeal is an Tiff Noodle, all a bit up himself....
  3. Note to self... don't let Andy work on my car! Good job matey..
  4. Plus you really need a 5-door to pull it off properly.....
  5. Damn.. there goes my plan.... I was actually thinking th same thing too.. what would a Harlequin Rado look like? Just Wrong or REALLY Wrong! Could do it in "Rado" colours.. as IIRC The "original" Harlequin bug was a Motor-show special to show off the colours available at the time.. and then some one at Wolfsburg obviously Scmkoed a little too much and hey.. Olop Harlequin! (Which I'd actually quite like to own as a daily!- witha G40 in it!)
  6. Whhel Wax and a weekly wash will help keep them shiny.. As you're not going for "Mirror" finish then this will be fine... If they do start gritting the roads then use Vasolene on them to protect them from the salt...
  7. Hence we're trying to Locat Osnabruck Dealer surrounds.. (oh that reminds me to bump that thred!)
  8. John, What was the set up you were going for? Boxster S Brembos with Ibiza C/R Discs?
  9. Nice to see Gruppenfuhrer Mosely's keeping out of it.........NOT!
  10. Steve they also make a "reputed" 5bhp per sticker difference.... Am having Phil sort me 200 so I can take a pop at the Veyron..
  11. Nice to see another Nugget on here.. Not too sure about the Ronals TBH, but good call about going up a sidewall size, it'll bring your speedo back in line too! As to the Red-bull can.. only bit of advice I can offer from doing this "Back in the day" (ie early 90's) on my air-cooleds is that it makes the coil run hotter and live a shorter life... Liking the moody engine too!
  12. Yup read this in the Metro this morning... Now when will Brown and 5th gears "Jason Baked-Potato" follow suit?
  13. Buy my Cabbie.. Excellent low-milage (85k) and hardly sufers from scuttle shake let alone creaks and bangs of higher mileage ones! Oh and there is a 4-point lower front brace available for mk1's from a co called Eurosport inc in the US, as far as I know pretty unique as it ties the chassis legs to the floor stopping almost all the flexing at the front.
  14. ahahahahaaha! I knew you'd not leave it alone! I'm liking the "Subtle" wheel idea...
  15. Speedy cables? They may be able to sort out a pattern part for you.. thus ensuring the longevity of 1.8-16v's...
  16. Do you still have the plates as well Paul? Or did they take them away like they did to Andy?
  17. As long as the font's UK-spec you'll be ok... the German font's unable to be read by the automatic plate recognition software.. so if this happens, they tug you by the look of things... Makes you wonder about speed cameras though! ;)
  18. Waves them through This explains the final race tactics yesterday in the BTCC.. Persoanlly I doubt Giovinardi would have taken it if not for the "help" given by the "Crapriarti" Plato was test driving for 5th Gear last week bursting into a ball of flames!
  19. And both left hookers too! Word of warning guys, I believe another CF member was pulled recently for same thing.. D-Plates...and the fact they ddin't get recognised on the plate reader. I'm re-fitting my Knackered UK rear... and sort some UK-font white/yellow metal plates before the MOT...
  20. Ok I know the MFA's sometimes woefully inaccurate.. mind you mine seems to be (mostly) right... Anyway on a trip round the 'Ring* yesterday I managed to see 37.1 at one point! overall the trip (including, a little "spirited" M-way driving, 3 towns worth of traffic and some A roads) give up 34.5MPG.. and eaverage speed of 56MPH, Not bad... Has any-one seen higher MPG figures on a decent trip? (Last highest I'd seen was high 35's) *M25 Ring.
  21. As well as taking pot shots at the government... international shipping laws... etc.... Clarkson, you're a cock with a pipe!
  22. Splitty Write-oof Resto This is my mates splitty he's been trying to get this back for years, finally did.... Via a Scrapyard Auction! The timescale apparently is Early Nov to get it back on the road! You know what, I recon he'll do it too!
  23. I NEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD That Audi!
