    Recaro Sportster

Seriously good seats.. Sat in one at Edition.. Also Yeti got to try them "In Situ" on the Recaro TT! Loads more support than stock seats (and stock seats for me are better than Rado Recaros!) and in my opinion, the headrest wouldn't look too out of place as the rears are kind of that shape anyway.... If I had just robbed a bank I'd get some.. My 2p Oh and these also suffer from the usual "Needs a subframe" issues! :D
  2. True Ben.. remember the Hot-rod maxim: "You can live in a car but you can't race a house... "
  3. Sorry to hear that Ben, glad I got to see it in it's glory last year! Best of luck with the house stuff.. and bet you'll still get a "less extreme" Rado to play with soon! ;)
  4. Clicky...Yup reckon he's going back... I had the feeling Flav would take him back some-how.. so does Hekki go back to testing or does he go to see "uncle Ron" I doubt Pram-boy will take a sabbatical, despite all the trantrums he is a very good driver...
  5. Ah wrong forum! (amended my smelling pishtake now!)
  6. Josh, look forward to seeing this in the metal some time soon.
  7. Andy, Gladly send you the money if you can give a good turn-round.. Not knocking you mate but has been a while since any of us heard anything from you. Put me down for the first group though. I can even come for fitting too now.
  8. Just thank Gawd it wasn't seagull POO! That stuffs corrosive! and stinks...
  9. My 2.0-16v has developed a really nasty "Tappety" noise when under load... seems to be coming from the drivers side or rear of the engines as far as I can guess.. but as it only happens when the engine's under load, it's kind of difficult to pin down (whithout removing the bonnet and getting some-one to hang in the engine bay while I drive it!). As said will only happen whe accelerating under load, is quiet at "Cruise" and off throttle, but under acceleration it comes right back. does seem to get quieter with heat in the engine too... So far an iffy oil pump or deflated tappet springs to mind, although I was thinking maybe Exhaust related? But as she started to "Flat-spot" under acceleration on me this morning I'm getting worried. Any other suggestions? There is oil in it (to 1/2 way)...
  10. yup about £1200 too much! Keep looking mate they are out there.. (or maybe a nice Cabby? ;) )
  11. All are equal... unless they're Finnish! ;) Hello Mr Kovalainin.... Or will It be Hello Mr Massa, you also seenmed to have been shafted? Bye bye Massa?
  12. First thing you'll do after coilies will be fit a new splitter be cause as soon as that painted one comes anywhere near tarmac.... Looks a decent car though.. personally not a fan of the filled roof though... Oh and the wheels are a bit.. hmm 90's? I swapped a set of those for G60 BBS many years ago! But all my personal so please don't take to heart... welcome to the forum BTW..
  13. Holy CR@P! IIRC you can get the stock one's "treated" to toughen them up... Glad it's a 'simple' fix though and not a gear-box.. (yet!)
  14. Karl, I take it VAGCOM doesn't throw anything up?
  15. Paul, how's the clutch pedal feel? Does it still have pressure? Could be release bearing.. or something "Internal" in the box. If you can get both wheels off the ground try spinning them by had and see if Diff's ok...
  16. Think the charger was done by Darren! 17k ago? But he'll probably cleat that up... Good purchase, and Juim's right, I've had my 16v 2 years a nd need either a Turobo or VR in my life now.. and then will want a s/c-VR after another year.. etc...
  17. Jim, not sure how relevant but same with my old Golf Cab (switch in expansion tank top).. apparently if teh system "over pressurises" (sp) then coolant leaks up through the switch and into the wiring... Like I said just a thought..
  18. Yeah but if I don't open the window the car fills with Pipe smoke... and if I do my carpet slippers get wet! I'm actually thinking about the fact I leave at 6am and the condensation at the moment just re-forms after I've wiped it off meaning I have to have both windows open for the first few minutes as I have to pull onto a main road and prefer to see if anything's going to hit me! Thinking through solutions, as Rain-ex and A/G Glass don't seem to help!
  19. I'll second that, in fact Chris if you're up for a road-trip? Andy, don't lose heart, just keep us in the loop.. that's been the biggest issue here. I still want my "Rolls-royce" loom if you have any? Jon
  20. And by "pulling away" what do you mean Paul? ;) Sounds "internal" TBH
  21. Hey Josh, Was this the Dealer car we spoke about? Welcome matey
  22. Hey Yohannes.. can we have a bit more on the spec of the car and where you are (can't make out any clear licence plates)
  23. Not if you need your window open in the rain... and want to keep the door switches dry!
  24. Nice teaser shots.. CH's as well 18's?
  25. Any-one know where I can get wind deflectors for the front windows from? The clear/smoked plastic things that go from front corner (by mirror) to rear (by B pillar) Getting tired of being dripped on with the window cracked open...
