  1. Looks good Dom. I think me and my mate decided that silver was the best colour to show off the C lines whilst we were looking at your car in Germany. But we didn't know it was yours at the time but I now recognise it from the pictures, I think.
  2. GPC haven't had stock for 4 months, obsolete they say.
  3. What causes more stones on the road in the winter? Well normally i find, Generally there is a larger amount of water around dunno why  , but that tends wash crap from the sides of roads and embankments and from under cars wheel arches when thay have been in muddy places, also when its cold glass and plastics and paint tend to be more brittle, simple math really have you never noticed?[/quote:2m67idmn] I can't say I have noticed this deluge of stones on the road in the winter, no! :D Is there a scientific study you can point me towards so I can understand the math behind this?

  5. Went into the stealers again this week....they defo can't get it? What part number is the bolt? is the bolt a good few cms long? It's like a thick self tapping bolt that secures the radiator to the FMIC. It's about an inch and a half long and threads into the plastic hole at the front of the radiator. Once you've striped everything down you could probably get something from B&Q that would do the job. You need to be carefull with the length or you could screw into the rad to far. Part no. is N 013 893 1. It 38mm long description is "hex head panel screw B6,3,38" The 38 means 38mm long the 3 prob means the thickness or the bolt not including thread and the B6 maybe will be the thread pitch or type!
  6. If they were glass then fair enough but they are only plastic lenses AFAIK so £50 is a bit steep. If you find any dealers with them ask for the discount price which should get you at least 10% off or 25% if your lucky.
  7. That's ok, I think I'm sorted now. I found the last pair in the country by the sounds of things at eurocarparts.com, it was their last pair. :) Asked if they knew of anymore for you Alex but they did not sorry! Oh but you can buy this other one I have on order from Germany if you like it's a R/H one. You may pick a left one up elsewhere in the future.
  8. Technically yes, but you can usually blag an account if you mention CCGB membership - especially if you don't want a credit account. They will need a business (any business) address to deliver to though - they won't deliver to you home. I just say what's the discount on that and they tell me! :D And then they order it and they ring me when it's in and I go collect it and pay, they know pretty well now so maybe that's why. I don't know if other branches are more difficult to deal with but the Liverpool branch just aren't bothered.
  9. Contact TPS Parts Club Helpline Telephone: 0870 756 1427 Fax: 01202 597141 Email: [email protected] http://www.thetradepartsspecialists.co. ... _leeds.php
  10. I was told the reflectors are different but don't how true that is and you can't check with ETKA as they list as obsolete. Try VW of TPS and ask for the trade/discounted price.
  11. (brakes were speaking and driving me crazy)! Sorry to break this to you buddy but your already crazy if your brakes are speaking to you!
  12. When was that that they had them? I asked TPS last week and they said obsolete!
  13. £20 plus delivery phone GSF Headquarters (0121 626 7970) and ask for Chris, helpful bloke. I'm buying the one available in the hope I can find another new one to match somewhere else in the future.
  14. OK I've made some calls there are 4 R/H indicators at Hella in Germany, well 3 now as I just ordered 1 through GSF. The only way to get the left indicator now is for a Hella distributor to place a back order for them to Germany as they aren't in stock! If the back order is made then they'll make a batch so they aren't obselete they just aren't in demand so if we can demand then someone will supply! After all it is an MOT failure item! Maybe the Corrado club could get involved and would have more influence than I did wth GSF, if we can get an idea of how many people want these then maybe they can be convinced to back order them.
  15. Anyone found a supplier of early indicators? VW say they are obsolete. And no one else appears to have stock. Anyone discovered a Hella supplier? I've pulled a blank! Can't even find the lenses.
  16. You don't need no.2, I have one in my garage! You do need or could do with no.17 it supports the ali u-bend weight. You'll need to trim the intercooler to clear the back of the headlight and the front panel but it's easy to do. My rad wouldn't sit back on the front beam due to the intercooler so I had to make a little bracket to support it. Oh and I had to bend a frontpanel to inner chassis leg link out the way to fit the golf g60 FMIC.
  17. Not sure if it's mistake but yip they are cheap I got the invoice which lists the RRP at 157 and the trade/club price at £58, the guy who got the price for me was shocked as was the guy I paid when I picked them up. So worth enquiring!

    JMC's G60

Interesting results there. Only ever had my car run on rollers with the bonnet up. My car seems to drop around 20bhp at around 6k can only be retard/boost bleed due to knock and is very obvious in the graph. Although on the road I can only reproduce this by doing consecutive QM runs without any normal driving in between. When it happens you can feel the car pull back. I'm sure this is due to the gwerks ss mani heat soaking the head and inlet manifold and happens every time on the RR due to the lack of air suction under the car maybe, next time I'll ask them to do a run with the bonnet down see if it still does it! Could be a faulty ISV I suppose but it's just too consistent. This is a graph I got on greens before I went to reds (reds get me to 6k before it drops) as you can see it drops at 5800rpm or there abouts.
  19. Just got a pair of early genuine VW headlights for £134 for the pair from TPS. When I picked them up they said they still had stock of O/S but not N/S but worth checking at your local dealer or TPS. The RRP was £158 each!! The trade or club/discounted price £57.
  20. Any-one like to lay money on Kimmi being in red overalls next year? ;) This is great almost as entertaining as the last laps at Spa! :D What goes around comes around hey!
  21. You should of asked for wheel figures! Flywheel figures can be pure fantasy depending on a number of factors, that's all I have to say :|. Now i am going to stick my leg out here but as far as the eye can see to me it looks as though he did actually say what you requested/suggested he should have done. Now i do think you are right saying there can be some fantasy figures at the flywheel but not everybody gets a wheel figure unfortunately. In an ideal world all RR's would accurate and not affected by variations but they are so they are a good guide at the best. So what kind of power do you have CTWG60 as you are keeping quiet on the matter i bet you have some sort of special engine up your sleeve hopefully anyway, have you hit the magic 300 horsepower, i cant imagine that in a Corrado at all as 200 horsepower is enough for me Nice, size 200 font! :? Your new to forum etiquette aren't you? http://www.videojug.com/film/how-to-beh ... rnet-forum OK I meant he should of specified just wheel figures, not "wheel or flywheel". You can see my numbers here. http://www.awesome-gti.co.uk/rollingroa ... 05.07.html Don't you mean neck not leg?!?!? :) And what's all this about "as far as the eye can see"?!?!?

  23. What a bunch of ar$e. Don't worry Hamilton's championship victory will be all the sweeter. Ever heard the saying "You can't keep a good man down!!"
