  4. Hi mate, I am using the 280mm setup, I used VR6 callipers and carriers and G60 discs and pads. Mine were off a K reg car, I replaced all the rubber seals (although they looked fine). Worth chucking on some braided hoses all round as well.

  10. Toad Ai606 - Tried and tested system really. Out of the box it will cover most of your needs. In addition it is modular, so you can add on a a lot of functionality. In addition the controller has 4 keys so you can program in extra functions with upgrades.

  12. Go out to the garage and charge the battery LOL
  13. That f******g sucks mate  ....could have been a lot worse if it was bit higher. Surely the garage must have some legal obligation to provide people with a 'safe' courtesy car. Wonder what there insurance has to say As for the gearbox, why didn't they spot the washer the first time round? Personally, don't think nobody would blame you for suing there tits off!
  14. Anyone know of a decent supplier?, that won't take a week to get me a genuine Bosch lambda??? Cheers Sukh
  15. I found the gearbox one a pain in the ass, rear was not to bad, just have some decent sockets and a breaker bar handy.
  16. You don't hang about do you! 8)
  17. What hassle? couple of options: 1. 1.8t conversion is very economical these days and can be pretty much DIY as a lot of the bits are off the shelf. 2. Loads of people breaking a VR6, buy the engine, loom, subframe etc and do the swap. Engine choice depends on what you like. silky smooth power of a V6 or the whistle of the 20VT engine.
  18. only the rubber bits need to be replaced. £4.95 for both sides (FEBI/Bilstein) of vwspares http://www.vwspares.co.uk/product_info. ... cts_id=502 S
