crap news mate....water pump? -
Nice motor...bargain!!!! Would check how much clearance you got between the coliovers and the side of the wheel/tyres. Alloys look quite tucked in, might be pressing or rubbing on the spring, if they are bung on some spacers.

Corrado Convertable photoshops of it for a giggle

Is it just me or does it look like it has camber all round? -
Can you just not umplug the ABS unit (there is a small connector to the right of it, in the engine bay)
-
have you seen those camber adjusters you can get on the dutch build website, do you know it anyones had success with them? - gonna put an order if for the brackets next week so was thinking of those as well! Any links? Think Chris on the syncro forum did some kind of DIY camber adjustment, not sure if its the same a dutch tho.

Any got any pics of bonnet vents fitted?
-
Mines defo going back up this weekend to something sensible (as I want to keep my sump and exhaust). Clocked a TT on the A5 near me this morning, defo has noticeable camber on the rears. Imagine it suffers the same when lowered.
-
Cheers....I love the rolled lip on the exhaust, thought I might get a bit of stick for it though :D Yep...also how else are ppl going to see the coilovers LOL

Hows your camber mate?
-
Running a rallye item at the mo...not sure how long it will last tho...yours looks like it has the inlets/outlets etc in the right place
-
Nice conversion mate.....bay will look sweet once done 8) ps what rad are you running??
-
Looking at cheapo options at the mo, might give that a go as there is a hole where the carbon canister use to go

How the hell do all the FI peeps keep the under bonnet temps down? Problem I have is alot of heat build up at the back of the block. When you open the bonnet you can feel the heat on your face big time! Anyone got any vents fitted or have any suggestions? even contemplating getting my bonnet louvred (Renault 5 turbo style) or getting a carbon bonnet with vents eventually. Most turbo cars I have ever driven have always had vented bonnets, R5T, RS turbo, cossies etc. I'd rather do something sooner rather than later though as keeping everything under the bonnet cool, can only help with longevity off the engine and all components.

LOL very noticeable, my mate compared it to his old beetle, although the suspension was wound down way too low for my liking, which I think is the main cuplrit! In my pics on page 14 it looks OK, I wound down the coilovers 3cm from that pic and it really seemed to make it more noticeable (will have to dig out a pic of how it looks now.) idling wrong at the mo, took the throttle of yesterday and its defo not sealing properly Cheers mate, my bro got it sorted, can get you the details when your ready
-
Just had it a week....straight thru system with an oversize back box, the turbo really quietens it down. Loudest noise is the turbo and forge 007p :D

my 20vt corrado ... the saga continues
blue95 replied to barryarginnraddo's topic in Members Gallery
Hi mate, Sorry....bit of a late reply, but my temp gauge seems to be working fine? Was yours completely dead? Regards Sukh -
LOL.....Thats more like it!
-
No DWB, runs using cable throttle. There is an idle adjustment screw but there is no adjustment, may need to mod it. However the throttle was used before on another 20vt setup and was runnning fine. I have emailed Ben (QPE) and it seems I may have an air leak around the inlet, so need to check gaskets etc :(

 Mate you will have bad days and good days, try not to dwell on the bad ones. Remember you have took on a mammoth task, best advice is to do one job at a time, don't set yourself any date targets as that can really get you down. Just aim to get it done. I understand exactly what your saying regarding the opportunity cost of your R32 Corrado versus more modern cars. Just remember once it's done you will be driving something very special.
-
Just wondered what idle peeps get on startup and when the car is warm? Does the idle change once engine is up to temp? Mines seems to be idling around 1250-1300 rpm Cheers
-
Nice colour :D What rims are you running, seem very tucked in from the pic!?
