Managed to get a Corrado bonnet, slam panel and 2 headlights into the boot of my mk5 escort with the seats down LOL she was a good ol workhorse!

I've seen peeps running the following on 4 stud: (with 1mm overhang of pad) 305mm seat discs (4 stud) 312 carriers (spaced 3mm) 312 callipers Are the 288 callipers the same as the 312s? if so I guess you would just need the 312 carriers?

Due to multiple redundancies in the household might not have much choice mate :( With regards to your syncro Q, converting syncro is simply a case of putting the haldex brackets onto the rear subframe, and shortening driveshafts as well as sorting out the electronic controller for the haldex. Only other bit I can think of is modding the subframe gbox mount, to fit the new gearbox (unless you have the skoda 4x4 transfer box which will just bolt straight onto the existing gbox).

Cheers, I believe another once 4x4 owner Ben originally got his done by a garage (think it was awesome gti???), although it does cost a few quid as there is a fair bit involved with hacking the old floor out and putting the syncro on in. However watch this space as there may be one up for sale soon.... :(

MOT booking and driving the car - is there a limit?
blue95 replied to coullstar's topic in General Car Chat
Drove mine from MK to far side of Bedford (good 45 min trip), car was sorn, no tax or MOT. I was told as long you have it booked in (and cops can ring up to confirm this) you are OK. Only prob being is that you are not covered for breakdowns as you need valid tax. I was told this by several people, read it on a .gov website and finally was told by a transport company who I tried to hire to shift the motor! -
Cool...were u at inters? didn't spot u anywhere
-
Do you run with a full tank? it may be your fuel tank is not venting properly? I just vented mine to atmosphere when I put the syncro tank in :) - no nasty niffs either, even on the hottest days

MMMmmmm nothing like fresh hardware 8)
-
Theres nothing like pulling out/fitting an engine to get your adrenalin going! 8) LOL

I believe Karl (KADVR6) runs these on his cars and he has always spoken very highly of them - Always a good price on Camskill for 195/50-15's Ian :D Just had my fronts changed from pzer nero to the ku31...very impressed, was a bit concerned about price/quality but the guy who fitted advised they were a very popular and highly reccomended tyre. Also did some review checking and they seem bang on. Only had them on a few weeks now, but I would defo buy some more for the price they are a bargain too....110 pound fitted, balanced etc at your home LOL size was 205/45/17 W rated. Shamless plug time now, by event mobile tyres (http://www.event-tyres.co.uk/) Try this code for 10quid off as well EMT0708

Ran a couple of tanks of v-power for comparison sake. Car does not feel as lively as the tesco stuff and engine oil temps are higher  as much as 3C (average).
-
they hid the relays away again on the late valvers LOL
-
Mine needs a remap as well TBH, the generic qpeng map is good to get going with but it defo needs a remap.
-
How long should the fan stay on if you just short it, i.e. just connect the wire to the body? Does the relay have some kind of timer?
-
Nice work fella 8) As for the throttle, think its more to do with the throttle position switch and connector that needs to be matched on the ecu & loom.
-
lookin good dude! Might have to give those clamps a go! my murray clamps keep blowing off :( had to stop a couple of times coming back from inters!
-
I've got one of those, seems pretty accurate to me. You can get one off ebay for about £15 tho. Also looking to get a remap on mine.....what management you running mate?
-
LOL don't think the missus will let me out! Was out all day Sunday at inters when I promised I'd be back in a few hours  Saw the nomads stand at inters tucked all the way at the back, are u coming up to any mk meets?
-
