  1. Gonna be a bitch to fit due to the natutre of how the turbo is hung under the manifold :(
  2. Thinks yours will be slightly different to mine, as I had an afterun pump (which I never had)
  3. If you had the 16v lump it was mounted via one of the rocker cover bolts to a little stubby sensor, located on the corner of the rocker cover near the alternator, had a single wire connector. Basically just turned on the fans (separate to the 3 pin switch in the rad) after ignition was turned off to help keep all the bits and bobs cool. Basically I was looking to change mine for the g60 stubby sensor which requires the 'engine head' temp to be 90c or below.
  4. LOL - always the way!
  5. Nice work mate! 8) Are you mounting three oil pressure sensors? as the original housing has 2 mounting points?
  6. No, was advised not to by the exhaust fitters, as excess heat can stress the stainless? TBH alot of heat seems to be radiated by the manifold/turbo - did a touch test Doh!
  7. No probs mate.... Flat connector - 1J0973772 Wiring set - S000979225A Have you used the thermo switch mate?
  8. No probs mate.... Flat connector - 1J0973772 Wiring set - S000979225A
  9. Looks good! too much feckin work! The lower vent does get alot of air in as well, as it lines up with the rad support which is angled to the fmic and rad.
  10. Cool will give the G60 switch a go! Also have a rallye rad and fmic in at the mo, have to admit the rallye fmic is great, inlet manifold is so cool, not so good on heatsoak from stationery tho. Wonder maybe why they gave the TT 2 coolers either side?
  11. Ahhh OK...I'll carry on enjoying the smells then LOL - will check the weather seal asap aswell :D Mine is running QPE setup, think it is setup to run rich aswell, tailpipe is allready coated in black soot. Which worries me LOL, worried about fuel and oil mixing, guess I'll just change to oil more often.
  12. Cool lol....watch this space!
  13. cheers, Did you notice any temp drops when in traffic etc? nothing at all mate[/quote:uugl91qy] LOL maybe I don't need vents then
  14. LOL see what u mean! yep mines the 20vt Just get some interesting smells...maybe its just because all hose etc are new and things are just settling down yet with the heat. Water hoses for the heater nozzles are getting very soft...can't remember it doing that with the valver. Is your downpipe heat wrapped? then again I get alot of heat from the manifold.
  15. cheers, Did you notice any temp drops when in traffic etc?
  16. OOOooo defo like that!! Any probs with water on the filter???
  17. Defo have to sort something out......too much not good! Was looking at vagcat see the G60 came with the lower temp 90c thero time switch on the head (16v comes with 100c or 105c one). Does your fan stay on for longer after a spirited run? Wondered if its overkill if I fit the 90c one?
  18. Gave them a bell already...the will have to remove a section of paint (not a prob), maybe a prob with water ingress tho. Not sure I fancy it dripping onto a hot mani and turbo LOL Was thinking about astra gte ones LOL they have a rain tray as well.
  19. Nice work dude! not easy to replace them lines....even worse when you have the abs unit in the way!
  20. I know either are not to most ppls tastes......but at the mo when you open the bonnet after a 'normal' run the heat coming from the back of the engine is like a hair dryer! Obviously this is a problem when leaving the car parked up, which I will be fixing by replacing with a lower temp thermo time switch on the head. The other time when stuck in traffic. Basically want to ensure heat is sufficiently vented when in traffic to avoid any long term damage to parts and components. Does anyone have any tips for stationery cooling or recommendation for bonnet venting? Cheers
  21. personally if your storm is bog standard I would leave it as it is. Thats just my opinion though. There are plenty of cheap C's with knackered engines out there, that could be used

    strut braces

mk2 ones generally fit, there maybe an issue with the expansion tank though.
  23. nice work mate! wheels look fookin mental!
