Hello all ! I ve had the VR for 3 weeks now, cracking car! 8) . Finaly got round to taking some pics today. Its a '96 VR Moonlight blue with heated black leather. I brought it totally standard. But have since added a few little touches. Clear side repeaters with silver bulbs. De wipered the rear. Black vw badges front and rear pluss the air filter (will replace with bmc cda in the summer). I ve got a bilstein suspension kit on the way along with a momo steering wheel boss so I can fit my wheel. The wheels are tatty but these will be replaced with a nice set of 16" once the weather improves. Next mods will include an uprated headlight loom along with tinting the rear lights red.

Look great do you know if they are available with a green back lit display? (wanting to keep them looking oem)

Would a centre section from a mk3 golf fit a corrado? Asking because theres a remus centre section for a golf MkIII for sale If not are there any othe vw's that share the same part i.e MkII golf?

As stated anything below 120 degrees C is fine. Above that I would look to switch the oil to a higher rating 10w50 / 15w50 etc I have found silkolene to be very good. If that doesnt improve things then oil cooler kit's are fairly cheap (group buy at the moment).

What about the manifold sold by EPI (I think thats the one). Around $600. Anyone had any experience with that? I am after more torque as well as I find the VR really lacking low down.

Got a quote of stealth for all tensioners, chains and clutch replacement along with full head refurb and rebuild all parts fluids etc 1450 including vat.

Hi just wondering if the heater resistor packs are the same in all the corrado's? I have a '96 3 dial heater pannel will the resistor pack form the early slide heater pannel work? Is it the same part in any other vw's i.e mkII's or mkIII's?

Either go for the 24v or go for the stealth package of fully rebuilt head new chains and tensioners and clutch £1450 all in. Should bring her back up to speed!

So long as they are treated well (full service history, oil changed regularly) then they can go on to do big milage. mines on 141k still pulls like a train and no smoke etc. I think there are some on here with close to if not 200k+.

The alternator belt?

I'd recomend Magnecor (the 8mm leads are blue). Have used them on previous cars and have had no problems.

I am after a decat pipe for my VR are they the same as the MKIII golf?

Well I ve taken the fan apart cleaned and lubed it up which cured the noise. Took the dial apart cleaned the copper conector up etc but that hasnt cured it so must be the resistor which looks like its already been change previously.

The interior fan on my VR has decided to start playing up. I can only get any air on the last setting (4th I think) and when I do it makes a nasty loud sound from the passenger side of the car. Is something buggered? It has been fine up until yesturday.

Looks like a very good example, not a fan of the rear lights though. And sorry cant help you with the exhaust :oops:

Excuse my lack of vw knowledge :oops: but would I be right in thinking the side repeaters on the corrado are the same as the mk2 golf?

Just a quick question. whats the inlet size on the VR6 of the pipe joining to the airbox? (cant go and measure it as I havent picked it up yet lol)
