as above, probably the relays. I had the same issue driving at night where the beams were on off randomly until finally giving way the next day. You can take them apart to check, but suggest you simply replace, dead cheap and easy

what a nightmare! took the car into a decent vw specialist (sub11) to get the brakes bled and have the two remaining rubber hoses changes to braided version. James at sub11 had issues with the cheap copper lines that were fitted by someone else and ended up needing to replace three of them, then the goodrich hose i had didnt fit (turns out mk3 hoses only fit vr's and not 16v's!) so he made some bespoke ones :-), that sorted he started on the bleeding.... ....whole day later and still air in the lines. I even gave a hand but still not brilliant :-( Hopefully enough to get through the MOT. Interestingly, after the dead spot, the brakes are imense. massive stopping power. shows that the old fluid was needing chucking! no idea why we can't get the air out, tried all sort, manual bleeds, pressurised etc etc. will drive around for a while and see if it clears through otherwise...no idea.

do these actually come in black? ive only ever seen beige/grey ones

right, managed to get to the garage. The threads size are identical its just the outside diameter so wont fit onto the brackets correctly. So James at Sub11 made some bespoke braided hoses for me. thanks again guys, I'll try and figure out how to lock this thread down.

mine is 16v rear so I'll take it that it's a no in my case which backs up what the mechanic tells me. I didnt realise that the 16v and vr hoses differed, lesson learnt. thanks all

what about the line before the the trailing arm. ie just after ther rear compensator valve?

Bit of an urgent question. But I bought a set of mk3 golf goodrich hoses a while back. These fitted fine on the 312mm front callipers, but will they fit on the rears, both on the swing arm and to the callipers? I thought the rear end of the corrado is the same, can someone confirm as my mechanic has said they dont...or is he pulling my leg?
-
never tried it, but i would say they arent interchangeable. why not just get the corrado cards?

looking good mate

DC11 was quite good, not many trade stands unfortunately. So after fitting the new brakes, bearings and pads I still had **** poor rear handbrakes so decided to fit some mk4 rear callipers. Quite an easy swap but pain in the butt to bleed. Hanbrake is now fantastic! Re-booked MOT on Tuesday, so hopefully it goes through ok this time.

open to offers as I need to clear out the space ready for a house move

why do you still need the tie rod flips? Wouldnt the extenders put the positions back to the OE setup any way? -
maybe a weight was knocked off during the MOT, will check. but wouldnt you expect a constant vibration if this were the case?
-
Recently had an MOT and was told that the rear handbrake mechanism needed sorting So sorted the rears with new disks, bearings and pads. On the test drive I have a strange vibration that occurs over 60mph, the vibration comes through the steering wheel and seems to oscillate ie it vibrates then smooths out, then vibrates and smooths out and repeats, only disappears or gets less noticeable when going at slower road speeds.. It's prob' coincidence that it occurred with the rear brake rework but any idea whats causing this? If it was a constant vibration Id say the wheels have fallen out of balance, but the oscillation has baffled me. any ideas or experience with this? ta

Get some pics up when fitted, how much did that set you back inc postage?

Just thought, you'll need the terminals that go into the plug, these can end up costing the most. I used the terminals from here http://www.vehicle-wiring-products.eu/VWP-onlinestore/home/homepage.php , it worked out cheaper for me but I did make the loom up from scratch so ordered lots of bits from this place. Can't remember which ones I used exactly but it was from this page http://www.vehicle-wiring-products.eu/VWP-onlinestore/terminalsnonins/mouldingterms.php Have a look through and see which you need. Otherwise buy them from VW but pay for the easiness FYI, when buying the terminals cable from VW you get effectively two terminals crimped to a yellow cable, so if you need 6 terminals for the plug you should only need 3 terminal cables (if your vw is good enough, they can work out the correct type)

give up and sell them to me ;-)

Loads of Corrado polished and chrome parts on ebay
quicky1980 replied to voo51's topic in Ebay and Misc
I thought the coolant tank was sold? I missed out on this the first time! Would you take £60 for it inc delivery considering I recently bought something off you and you know Ill pay up? You can then avoid ebay fees and have cash in your pocket -
VW, and yes its the same part number. I think I paid about £2 for it

MOT fail...but it wasnt for much. Rear drivers handbrake efficiency was low and two tyres needing changing. Not a bad result really considering I thought ll four tyres had past their best. Bought some genuine VW rear disks and brembo pads, adjusted the linkage and hope that will pass the MOT. I did notice that the one calliper was tight so could do with replacing, may go mk4 spec soon. May end up going to DC11 tomorrow with a mate, not sure if it's worth taking the rado as its filthy! Am trying to make it to GTi inters so I can finally see what the 3.2 engine can give on the drag strip.

Got mine the other week, wow nice quality items! Fit well too. Nice work, keep me posted on the other bits your working on.

if you want a track/fast road/weekend toy then ARB are deffiantely needed, otherwise the rolling body would destroy handling
