R32 / 3.2 24v Audi conversion guide
quicky1980 replied to quicky1980's topic in [Archive] Wiki Submissions & Collaboration
mine uses a hybrid of VW engine loom and audi fusebox loom. Are you attempting to do the wiring yourself? Someone made me a simple wiring diagram for the dbw pedal, never got round to using it but it may be of use to you? if so check out my build thread (ill try and get it on here later on some time) -
thats what i was going to suggest, lol 2nd ones may be cheaper but could let go sooner.
-
you could always try and make a new cable with bicycle brake cables?
-
why did you cut it?? Have a read through this http://wiki.the-corrado.net/jammed_bonnet_opening_tips.html as it may help you. I still struggled with the above, so had to drop the engine at the front to allow my hand to get up by the catch, right ar5e to sort out. good luck!

Led backlit Heater Control panels for late Corrados

fairly common problem, normally the clip on the release handle breaks. some replace the clip with a heavy duty part and others ive heard have some wire from each of the release catches hang loose so that they can be reached from under the car. I've considered fitting 2 solenoids to the catches but reckon this would be less reliable. Check out the forum wiki on how to open the bonnet if the cable breaks.
-
I was hoping for the Corrado shout too! ;-)
-
would be the simplest method, but not the easiest as the mk2 syncro's are hard to get a hold of and are fetching quite a bit of money.
-
late bonnet will fit all corrado's but the leading edge may not fit in line with the wings lines (heard its hardly noticeable) early bonnets will fit all but the vr6 due to the taller engine position hitting the bonnet frame. I like both styles, but would tend to want to fit the late spec. just fit the early one and see what you think

the numbers light up white, they tent to sell for between £50 and £120, depends on the timing and market.
-
lol, when I spoke to Perf Trim the person I spoke to said they have never cut the holes for the washers and didnt think they could do it. I must have spoke to a muppet. Im sure you love it, I did. But just didnt want to hide it under paint and wanted to keep the car fairly OEM looking

maybe from a passat? a picture may help understand the difference better. Ive heard some people bend the bolster frames in more to make a snugger fit, this may explain yours being upright but not sure why yours are a different profile.

loads of threads on this, give the search a go. but basic conversion involves syncro or rallye fuel tank, boot floow and hardware. the tunnel is fine on the rado for the prop shaft. read a nice feature with a guy fitting audi tt metal work into a golf mk11, so this is another option for the rado...

damn, turned this programme over. any screen shots? -
i had their carbon/fibre glass version and it was very good quality. the bonnet smoothness was not perfect but good enough.
-
welcome. good to see another 24v. Ive heard the 2.8 guys trimming the bonnet ribs instead of cutting the mounts down.
-
lol, cheaper from vw than getting someone to post it. i have an old one if you really cant manage to get to vw
-
thanks for the suggestions. we did every bleed nipple inc abs and master cylinder, and I have braided hoses all round so rules those out. Well, I passed the MOT today with no issues with the brakes, maybe Im too picky about the brake feel. yipee. Just taxed her so all good for another year. :-)
-
cool ill add you later, thanks again Kempy
-
as above, FYI the late cards have the switch on the pockets, the early ones are on the door cards there are threads on how to convert etc just check the search out.
-
excellent, PM me your PS details and ill add you. not sure what mine is without booting up. how did you get it btw?
-
