I've bought a few things through the new classifieds section but I can't seem to see them in the "My Orders" of the "My history" section, yet all the sold bits are showing up fine. Is there a reason for this or just a glitch?

Theres one in Peterborough if anyone fancies it in Sept http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?57621-Peterborough-Meet&p=738676#post738676 -
agreed it doesnt sound good but have heard of other automotive suppliers just shootin off on holidays/business trips without warning. I hope its not true as there stuff was top notch!
-
ha ha ha, Chris you muppet you forgot one of the most important things lol Never mind, I know your minds elsewhere trying to get your car sorted. The date is the 11th of September

Back off holiday and still on the look out for a run around car, in the mean time all four RH's are bolted together and just need sealing before fitting tyres on. Holiday was a blast, ended up driving the Audi R8 to Italy, then Monaco and back into France across the coast past Cannes and St Raphaél. The car performs brilliantly but the trip gearbox is pretty harsh/jerky and found it hard to get smooth transitions.

wow, i had a close call looking at this! Suprised they've closed down as they were extremely busy. Are we sure they arent on holiday? Most factories around the uk around this time of year shut down for a short time

Nice work Chris, thanks for getting this sorted while I've been away/moving etc. Will get the word spread as best as I can. Hopefully will see your car there too!

Been keeping an eye on your build thread, I think yours will be awesome when done. What HP and torque you aiming for? Sorry I didnt get back to you, have been away on holiday and havent found my box of receipts yet but looks like you got the details anyway. Is the ClubGti link any good? Should we have it on here?? I'll add the part number on the next revision of the guide -
lol, it's like you and me are related. I'm just about to get a diesel a4 or a6 to use as a daily and allow for some work to be done on my corrado and hopefully sort out the same flat spot your having. Do you reckon its only us two that have this issue?? I'm trying to decide on gaz or kw's. I reckon gaz will win because they offer just as much as the kw's but at half the price but with the sacrifice of build quility (but the c will be a dry/weekend/summer car anyway) BTW theres talk of a another vw meet in Peterborough, hopefully you can make it to it. Will let you know the dates etc

Just moved into my new place, really happy with the purchase as there's plenty of space so I can get on with some bigger jobs on the car ;-) Then had some issues getting the cheap valve caps off two of the wheels due to them seize tight on, ended up filing them off!! Doing a quick check around the car I found this which is worrying, esp because I cant work out how it happened. Hoping to have the RH wheels done in a week or so, here's a bit of the progress update... Just on the look out for a second car so can take the rado off the road for major surgery, big plans but no idea when it will all happen

A while back some kids nicked the valve caps off one side of my car which originally came with the wheels. So had to buy some replacement so thinking that valve caps are simple enough, I bought the cheapest I could find off ebay. They arrived and looked ok so fitted them to the wheels, never thought they would be a problem until it came to my regular tyre pressure check. The remaining standard caps came off no probs but the ebay jobbies....no way..stuck fast!! Ended up filing them off by hand to avoid damaging the valve and evently weakened the crappy caps enough to get them off. Looking at them, it appears they they bonded due to being dissimilar material, but not sure why the original ones were fine even though they were alu' too. So word of warning, dont use cheap valve caps on the tyre valves. You may end up regreting it! If you have them alreaday fitted go check quickly before its too late and either replaced or grease the threads. Any one else experienced this problem

just been looking at doing a BJ extension to mine, the design that herisites came up looks very simple to implement. Only thought I had was it would need a through hole to allow for an allen key to pass through and hold the BJ while troqued together. Would this still extender be strong enough to cope with the loads etc? One possible adaption is to make the hex bar bigger and have a hole tangent to the thread in the extender which would be used as a pilot hole /guide for a drill bit to cut slightly into the ball joint and then allow a bolt through to lock the BJ to the extender ie like the non vr6 setup. thoughts please?? Otherwise, is there a kit in existance to extend the BJ on vr6 BJ's?

quicky1980 replied to 24V Renshaw's topic in General Car Chat
been using mine as a daily since day one so that's almost 5 years in all, had a few hiccups along the way but not always down to the cars fault. Hopefully you will come back, would be good to see you at a few meets and finally see you "the legend" in real life. BTW did you get rid of the porsche then? Or am I just making stuff up and youve never had one?? -

i have a vag one, if you pass up on hombre-paulo's offer -
this on the original part is hard plastic, and uses individual rubber pads, cant say for sure but on the linked images the part that rests on the roof looks like it has an integrated rubber/support. If it does then maybe something can be made to protect the paintwork??
-
They look allot like the original VW version, but cant say if it would fit or not. Surely if they advertise the fact they fit rado's your covered for any issues? If your still not sure, contact them to confirm.
