I have one of the satin finish surrounds and love it, excellent piece of kit!
-
nope, off to players 5.0 and sub11 instead, maybe next year though

Ha ha, went 8's all round but I reckon I could get away with 9's but would need to drive a bit more to confirm. I have the 16v rear trailing arm so have more space than the vr's out there. I'm happy with the current setup esp that I have a bit of freedom to play with the offsets. Need to be careful with wheel width due to the planned awd. Top result is that the wheels appear to also fit the audi!! yipee!

Well, it's been over a year since having the RH wheels delivered and I finally pulled my finger out and got them sorted (stripped, polished, re-built etc). Here they are on the way to get rubber fitted.. and here they are fitted to a very dirty Corrado that needs a good clean, polish and wax. Were a pain in the ar5e to sort out and cost me an arm and a leg but am dead happy with the results. Just need to play around with the offset. Found out that I can just about fit the car in the garage, even though there's loads of stuff in there. But it's def' a sqeeze so I may take advantage of the car port instead.

I havent mounted mine properly but its secure for now. I bolted the rear into the original acc' pedal bumop stop, i think i use a bracket too. I did cut the carpet at the hinge end of the pedal but this wasnt essential, the pedal itself could have been trimmed to allow to sit flush but I wanted to use the r32 bracket that alllows the pedal to clip in/out easily. You trying to fit as OEM as possible or just get it and just get it working? Position wise, Im really happy, I'd say its better to have floor mounted versions, only issue is getting a floor mat that fits lol
-
hmm tell me more about the wheels
-
ye mine is floor mounted, no idea if its compatible with other setups

love Clarksons quote "the expresso, now thats like the Corrado, one shot of it and it blows your head off"
-
i have one too, open to offers just to clear some space
-
wont the dbw pedal mounted on the pedal box foul the fuseboard?
-
I'm sure getting the numbers together will be pretty easy due to the interest already. Maybe, if more show interest the prices can come down? Correct me if Im wrong, but do the original straps have an impression to give the strap strength, if so can that be achieved on these SS versions?

Not sure if this link works but here goes, it's from the last meet (also Peterborough Dubz cherry popper) https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=oa.217165548332792&type=1 Chris, do we have a poster, or someone with the right photo shop skills to be able to make one? We are rapidly approaching the day and I havent seen one.

rebuild a vr6 or go for a 2.8 24v conversion
quicky1980 replied to robo22sri's topic in General Car Chat
better economy? Is that a fact? I know the r32 drinks more but no idea about the 2.8 24v. But then again, I do drive the R as intended -
 GLWS anyway!

rebuild a vr6 or go for a 2.8 24v conversion
quicky1980 replied to robo22sri's topic in General Car Chat
neither, go for the 3.2 24v!! On the cheap you could do the conversion for around £1000-£2000 but more realistically around £3000 and thats if you do it yourself -
Classifieds - Bought Items "My History"
quicky1980 replied to quicky1980's topic in Site Comments and Questions
Not all Dudes fault, as have bought other parts beforehand. But looks like the answer has been given that its up to the seller to update. Looking forward to seeing this change, howpefully it will be much more user friendly. I must admit that the current system is OK, and only OK for individual bits but when it comes to multiple sales ie garage clearouts or breakers then it falls over and needs to rely on the traditional forum arrangement. Not a complaint just a comment as the whole forum is my love, without it I would implode. -
think i found the cause. there are two adjustable bolt/screw just behind the bumper that help make the gap bigger/smaller. I reckon with the cambelt change they accidentally adjusted these. oh well something for me to play with

Right, finally got one. Found an Audi avant that I like. Going back tomorrow with the rest of the money to collect. Only confusing thing about the car is that the leading edge of the bonnet doesnt sit right, any ideas why this could be the case and if its repairable??
-
hhmm, which car to bring!?
-
nice result, still interested if you can start a group buy

my r32 hated the last fill up at morrisons, so i no longer risk it and avoid using it.
