Still interested. My front wings are rotten.
-
YES!!!! Now, how much and when can we get them!? Are they based on the late spec' wings?
-
Must be in good condition and including all parts
-
I have a BMC but relocated the battery to the boot.
-
Sorry. I've been off the forum for a while. Would definitely want late wings without indicator holes. What's the likely first batch time frame?
-
Your original post asks how they compare to mid range coil over's. If you are thinking of budget air suspension then they won't be great... Sorry. You may find something reasonable for little money but make sure the struts are matched for the bags and car. You don't need to lose the spare wheel but your boot space will be reduced due to the tank.

Hi guys. Thanks for the nudge Chris. I ran kw v3s and now I'm on air lift. Never really drive my car in anger but find the handling to be fine on air. Similar comfort for both.

price drop, need this out of the way soon. Rather it be bought by a club member than it going to the scrappy

Not to hand of how it looks now but here is what it was like when I first picked it up http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?t=60328 Only difference is all the dress items have been removed (engine, interior, rear boot glass, rear pass side glass, sunroof, bumpers, brakes) and its gathered dust from storage. Is a pretty good shell as I was going to use it for a 4motion conversion. Just personal issues mean that I need to clear space out quick.

Corrado 16v Shell A change of plans means that the shell I have is no longer required. Its a rolling shell and can include doors, boot and late spec bonnet is the full asking price is met. Comes with v5 document. Some welding needed in the usual places, worse areas are the battery tray and leading edge of the windscreen. Otherwise fairly solid Although its a rolling shell, the wheels aren't mine so I would require those back. Can arrange delivery at buyers cost but would prefer collection. Needs gone quick! Well, Ive said it before, its not a show unless a repair has to be carried out. At least mines going

Fitted the refurbed shafts and the rumble is notable in straight line. Havent been round a round about yet to see if the kicking has gone though. Next step are the bearings in the hubs. Car did feel a little smoother to drive thought. I have a worry that the inner cv clips havent dropped into the shaft recess properly :pale:. Will be taking spare shafts and tools to MIVW I think this year lol

Second attempt at driveshafts refurb underway as after finding out that the ones I started to refurb were the wrong damn ones!!. Got some shafts from Hasan (Fla off here) and stripped them down to metal, the shorter shaft has suffered quite badly from rot but I think it may be still strong enough. Coated them in anti rust and will paint in hammerite smooth spray tonight. Hopefully dry in time for the weekend assembly (with new OEM joints) and fitting to the car and out for a test drive to see if its hopefully sorted the weird rumbling/knocking noise, if not looks like maybe the front wheel bearings need looking at next.

im just north of peterborough and have the full setup but been stored some time so the discs are prob fairly rusted. any good still?
-
ha ha, yeah I saw you having a little test. I still cant get used to the difference. Its actually to be painted but haven't found anyone I trust enough to do a decent job with it.

tbh the delay in the washer fluid isnt noticeable, I do have a one way valve near the jet to stop any leak back which may be the reason. I was initially more worried about losing pressure over the distance however this is fine too, if it wasnt I would have placed a second pump nearer the jets. I still havent managed to get VCDS to work, Im just useless with it. Might just bite the bullet and get a genuine unit and learn the ropes.

tbh I bought the 4mo cheap and recouped a good amount from the leather interior. Next up for sale is the engine. Once thats gone i can roll the car easier and get to the other bits to store/bin and sell. cars are always worth more as parts, its rediculus

Hardly come on here these days but here is an update. KW V1's have been replaced by a full air lift kit with v2 management, the ride on this is very good and seems to handle pretty much like top end static suspension. I wouldnt say that they are as good as the v3's as I never tested the v3's to their capability, however based on how I drive i see ne difference in handling but comfort marginally better for the air system. I think Ive resolved a long term performance issue with the engine. When I first carried out the conversion I had a new MAF, but the car felt fast but not "holy $h1te!", even to the point where standard vr6 rado's we matching its performance. So being that I had some gremlins that pointed to a faulty MAF, I swapped it for a spared (even though the one fitted was new!), anyway now the car behaves as others told me it should. I had a massive smile post engine swap, that smile came back this weekend which was made sweeter when I played with a golf r32 in town. Also relocated the washer botted to the boot by using a small kit car version bottle and pump. The battery has also been placed in the boot. Giving some slight weight transfer but mostly giving more engine bay space for the long term stored BCA air filter. Also fitted a new stereo head unit pioneer-mvh-8200bt. Great little unit for ipod uses, unfortunately Im not an ipod user which has proved to be a little annoying. In the process of refurbing the driveshafts and will hopefully paint the rear callipers in time for MIVW.

Quick update, i seem to be acquiring parts more than actually doing work on the project. Recently bought a complete 4motion golf as a donor for bits. Once stripped Ill cut it up which will allow me access to the corrado again as its tucked away behind the golf

sorted my running issue, thanks guys. seems to have been a dodgy maf as you suggested. she flys now!
-
still need one? If your desperate I have one I was keeping as a spare which I may sell.

ha ha Sean, nice dig. TBH I had kw v3's on it before and I dont really notice any difference with them and the air suspension. I am however a bit of a wuss with corners anyway so might be the reason why I havent seen much. -
fyi, the third line is for the r32 exhaust flap control system. I disconnected my MAF and it felt much better (had some missfire but different to what ive experienced so far), so Ill be swapping it out. Fortunately I have a spare 4motion MAF which wont directly fit but Im going to try and swap the actual sensor out from the housing as I think they are the same part.
