Wiper linkage arm (Longer linkage) 536-955-326
quicky1980 replied to vw rule's topic in Forum Group-Buys
have people been finding this linkage to be wearing out? I have slop in my wipers and replaced with a new shorter one but didnt check the longer bar. will be checking shortly -
I seem to have misplaced mine. Looking for two clips that hold the fuse box cover/trim onto the lower dash section. Can these be bought from VW/TPS or has anyone got some?

Late Style Damaged/Smashed/Cracked Fog Lights - Wanted
quicky1980 replied to Riley's topic in Wanted
are you going to be making them into vents? if so I have a pair of fogs and bmw ducts to allow for the work to be done. -
random thought, would it need to be a vr loom? Plenty of valvers out there and if your splicing etc you'll probabaly only need the plugs
-
get a composite bonnet, far lighter than the original panel and if its for a race car the weight is important to you

Its free mate. We hope the weather is good for it too. Some reason the facebook link in the original post isnt working. Here it is again: https://www.facebook.com/events/632355620163706/

To those who fitted the late spec fuel filters with integrated pressure regulator. How did you connect to the ports? I've found this part number 6Q0201051A but not sure how to safely connect to the ports as the filter has been designed for quick fit plugs. Great news on the fuel readout, well done! :thumbleft: Will need to try and sort mine out when I get round to tidying the wiring.

Thanks guys! Will look at the bmw and golf terminals but after the suggestion of using the starter terminal I think this will be neater and I hope not to have to jump start often (if at all) I was really unsure about the fuse rating, bu I will start with 125A as you used Kev. Out of interest what design of fude did you use? I've seen a few audio fuses go to high ampage but not sure if these are suitable for a starter/crank cable. I'll vent the battery to the atmosphere outside of the cabin/boot, this should be fine right? No need for a special battery is there?
-
I plan to put my battery into the boot. I know I need to run a decent gauge cable from the boot to the front but Im unsure how to best do the circuit breaker ie fuse size and type etc. Plus I would like to have a positive terminal in the engine bay just incase I need to jump start from the engine bay end yet I dont know which bits work/look best so suggestions please.

Bump, whos coming from where for this?

cant find a sensible answer anywhere. does anyone know if there are 323mm discs with 5x100 PCD but with a differenct offset to the 312mm 4motion discs? My brembos wont fit behind the wheels but if i can get the disc to sit deeper in towards the car then I may be able to get enough clearance cheers

would be interested in the c2 mount and subframe if you decide to split

PE11 location any good to you? PM me we can chat. Wanted to keep as a spare but sounds that you need help Im a little concerned is a 1series is big enough as a rado bonnet doesnt fit in an a4 estate. Does it have a roof rack?

Syncro uses similar methods to transfer the power to the rear, as Jamie said, both systems are biased to FWD, but when slip occurs the viscous coupling (haldex, syncro) start to turn the rear wheels. Haldex has better controll over this transfer and can cope with higher engine power (which I need :silly:) Was toying with the idea of full 4motion sub frames but I think Ill go hybrid still (syncro rear beam with haldex fitted). The donor car is mostly for the electrical stuff like dash, engine looms, abs etc. Most of the mechanical stuff Ive already collected. Might still change my mind once I start laying it all out of course lol if I remember Ill weigh the rear glass as Ive wondered how much this adds, especially if considering the CF rear boots that LWS offer.
-
Things are getting serious, bought myself a 4motion golf 2.8 v6 as a donor. Started to take the glass out of the rado.
