Hi mate Normally when you have idle proplems on C's its the air stabilization valve, it has a habbit of going wrong! A friend with a featured C changed his and the problem was cured. Do you have problems on start up or does she fire up straight away?

Hi mate I was going to buy a new system, I have a mate who makes exhausts to order and can do all sorts of designs etc. It was just the cat I wasnt to sure on? What have you got on your car exhaust wise and do you have the cat? The c is heavily restrickted under there, I have only heard one c vr6 with an exhaust and it sounds lush, its always the G60 that do the mod, well thats the trend here unless there are more G60's around. Im based in Bournemouth!

Is it best to go for a cat replacement pipe or sports cat? Some say that the car was designed with a cat so using a sports cat will help the performance others say just put a straight through pipe and it will help the flow of gases therfore increasing BHP?? I am aware of the laws with the year of car and weather or not its illegal, if it improves performance I want it. I have a made with a type R Honda Civic and I need to be able to beat him, those cars are quick but I have faith in mine being 2.9 VR6!!

Hi mate I have never had it happen to me but I have seen it on Fords mainly, was it raining by any chance or had it been raining hard prior to the window having a mind of its own? You could always take the door card off and see if the connection is wet, also if you havent got the plastic sheeting between your door and card you could alwayd fold a bin liner up and silicone to the inside of the door. To buy the new sheeting from VW will cost you a small fortine. Also pop out the electric switch that controls the window and make sure the connection is good as if its loose it could cause the window to confuse itself. Try that!

Hi mate One thing I would get them to check is the gear box fluid, I recently had mine done, the level wasnt that low but I told them to drain the fluid and put new stuff in and when the fluid poured out it was really thin... So put some nice new iol in there and that will help! The gear linkages also have a habbit of sreaching so they cables may need tightening or even replaced and the seperators that have sort of ball joints that the plastic separators can get worn, they are very cheap and make the box feel nice and crisp.

thanxs mate, I do remember my expansion tank getting low quickly, I get my car back on thursday so I will monitor these things and see whats what. I will start saving a few quid now as I think its probably on its way out. I suppose I could always just change the gasket now or is it not worth it? Can I get away with just doing the head gasket providing it hasnt warped the head, is there anything else I may aswell do whilst Im there?

I know there is a problem because after I got my car services, new everything... I checked the oil and it was really low. I know sometimes the oil talkes a while to sink down fully but anyway, I toped it up and checked it a week later and it was fairly low. My local mechanic says that he thinks the oil is mixing with the water and going around the system that was as not that much leaks onto the ground. It did do by I have bought a new sump gasket and since then the car has been off the road because I crashed it. If the sump cures the leaking oil onto the ground then I just need to know why its leaking fron the left side of the head, its near a pully from memory. Could I get a way with trying anything. Its definitely not the rocker cover gasket.... Just dont want to have to spend 500 / 700 quit on a re build but the performance still feels like its there.

Any ideas on the VR6 with head problems, not sure if it is the head???

I would recommend that you get the allignement checked as the hub carrier can affect the tow in / out when doing the bolts back up to hold the strut in place. This way you will get a much more precise feel to the steering!

I recently changed my accelerator cable and the difference it made to the performance was incrediable. Before, like someone else said when you take your foot off the pedal the revs dont drop straight away... With the new cable the induction noise comes in alot quicker because its accelerating much faster.

I have just joined the forum and noticed that there is a need for new Corrado car mats, I actually source brand new cars direct from Germany - manufacturer, I could make enquiries as to how much they would cost... If I get a response I will make a phone call.

I picked this fit bird up for a date, I had cleaned the car up and it was gleaming, and I had the smooth R n B music playing.... We parked up and as we were getting out of the car she said, ' your sunroods open', I said thats no problem, alarmed the car and it started to close, then got stuck and it started to piss down!! Nice. It was the last time I saw her

Hi, I am new to thie forum, I would like to point out that I nearly died due to the tyre coming offf my standard VR6 rim and throwing the rear end of my car onto a fast dual carrage way. Always keep an eye on the pressures and condition, its all very well thinking you're a good driver like me, trying to take a crner on a slip road at 80 mph. Just take some time to ensure tyres and pressure are spot on as the corrad is a quick motor unlike mine which is still in the body shop!!
