    Quick Question

Like everyone mate, that is harsh! I think the hammer would have been someone - idiot- trying to smack a smaller socket on your locking wheel nut to try and loosen it and probably missed and hit your rim! I took once 3 mates out for a drive down a fast dual carrage way, I was driving my friends E36 M3 EVO Convertible in Estoril Blue - my favourite and I had a model in the car that normally does the Team Dynamics stand so you can imagine I was showing off a little with the roof down, I was driving at speeds of nearly 150 mph and the next day I had a puncture so I took the car along to get it fixed and 4 bolts came off in his hand and 1 was missing! It was the rear wheel as well and being rear wheel drive at that speed would have been game over for all of us. Someone in jelousy had done that deliberately. Thats why people steel bits off your car because they are jelous. I think that we should all take the time out just to look at our bolts just to make sure that they dont look like they are going to fall out, lets face it, what is 20 seconds for a life time, and if you know you are going to be driving hard then I would definitely do it. Just my thoughts that would save some lifes..... I dont know what you all think? Also, if you have alloy wheel, even the standard alloy wheels the bolts like all vw's are not right for them because of the shampers on the bolts, so try and buy some proper alloy wheels nuts / bolts, they are only a couple of quid. They look better as well! Sorry again about your story, what goes around, comes around, I just hope sooner rather than later!
  2. KARMANN, I called the company for you earlier today and they do a panel filter for £39,95- delivery is around 5 / 7 days. The guy at the shop said he would only recommend a panel filter so I am going to give BMC a call direct! I will let you know the out come if that interests you!
  3. They look good IMO but I think there are better! The car looks nice and tidy, have you done a brake conversion, or have you just painted the calipers, its hard to tell from the pic?
  4. I would stick with Zymol, is incrediable stuff!
  5. Cheers guys, I want to turn my dream into reality. Ever since I was 11 years old my best friends mums boyfriend had one and he used to pick us up from bowling and stuff like that, things you do when you are yound and he had a g60, he was really tall so his seat used to be sat right down and as far back as possible and when ever we stopped to get petrol or something I would jump into the drivers seats and pretend to drive it!! As soon as I turned 18 I got a loan and bought a G60 for £6000 and had to sell it a month later because I couldnt afford the car or the insurance so you can imagine I was gutted. Now I am 21 I bought the the VR nearly a year ago and have loved driving it! Whenb you have a majour bust up with your misses, just say nothing and get into your C and just cruise and you will soon nbe a happy bunny again! Does anyone have a similar C to mine, that is more moded? I would be interested to see how it looks. The first pic the rims look dull as the light was dull and the wheels needed a polishing, I may take them off and keep sanding and wet and drying them to get them looking more mirror looking. The more time you put into them the better result so I thought 3 weeks was long enough!

    17`s

I run 17'now, I changed from the standard 15 inch speed line alloys on my VR, the car feels much steadier now, it feels tighter which Im sure is to do with the low profile tyres and generally I feel more of the road now which gives me more control. The samller the wheel the quicker your starts are but the bigger your wheels are the slightly better top speed you get, thats what I have been told!
  7. Burgandy, all day long!
  8. Soz, I will have a look for you on their website and let you know, I have the tel number for the place where you can order one if your interested. Just say you know me and he will take care of you.
  9. Mate, I would get a VR6, I have had both, they're both amazing cars, we shouldnt be telling you what car to go for, you now have the idea what the models talents are so you decide. From experience the VR is like taking a beautiful lady out to dinner, if you get a nice dark or deep colour, nice wheels and nicely lowered then you have a guaranteed lay, if you pick her up in a G60 shes going to hear funny noises under the bonnett and she will think that you will eat her for desert. The VR will make her moist and the noise from the Vr does sound throaty and powerful, just as the G60 does but its a totally different tone. I recon you will like the noise from the Vr especially as you have come from a car with a turbo. Actually the G60 can sound as lush but you need mods, remember you need to pay for the meal as well! Happy hunting, just take your time and haggle like mad, you will be surprized at what you can achieve if you play the car game right. I managed to nock 750 quid of the price of my Vr and I got the CD player and that was a private sale. Important - is to check the lines of the car, make sure it looks perfect, it should give off a im the one and then it normally is providing ythe engine bay is clean and dry and the general checks. The VR has slightly larger wings, sometimes different headlamp surrounds and bonnett unless its a later G60.

    Optimax

OPTIMAX HER RITE UP THEN!! Its almost like you know its good vitaims for her!
  11. everything the colour has been imposed slightly on the second picture, but my rims are highly polished, the first pic the rims look dirty and the windows are not tinted, I like the smooth, clean nicely moded look. I do want to change my bumper and get some side skirts and I want to do something with the rear bumper. Possibly a air vent in the wing, not sure yet?
  12. cheers mate, the rims are 17 inch which I feel are a good size for looks and handaling and the spoke goes right to the edge. It took me ages to get the rims looking like that! I wouldnt recommend anyone doing it as I almost broke up with my girlfriend because aI was spending more time or C than her, and money!
  13. Big Ram, what do you all think! Any comments welcolme except the ones that say it looks rubbish - joke-.

    Optimax

why do VW recommend on the VR6 that you should use Super plus? Surely there is a reason for that than using a normal unleaded. My knowledge on the higher octaine fule is that it burns faster therfore getting a faster combustion process making your car work faster! I use super plus normally but when I am near a shell garage I stick Optimax in and this week I definitely felt like the car was pulling harder in the gears, only slightly but enough to notice. Has anyone got on with normal unleaded than apposed to Super or Optimax? I've never run unleaded in mine so may give it ago if I have any good feedback. I have a mate with an M3 EVO Cab and he pours 2 bottles of octaine booster in his car and it smells really rich but he says its great, he sometimes mixes the octain boosters and pours it in!

    VR6 chip?

Hi mate I have a 93 vr6 and I posted a topic on the VR6 Chip and the best response came back from the chip by AMD in Oxford - Bicester. The chip cost £250, the last guy who I asked about chips said that it gave him 14 BHP increase but the chip is really good for low pick up speed and drive ability and you wont be harming your engine, as soon as you chip it, be ware that it will give you the mod bug to try and make these Corrados actually take off. With regards to the lights on, Corrado t my knowledge dont come with them but it is the easiest thing to fit. You can buy them from your local Halfords or store like that, you only have to connect a couple of wires - dead esay or just ,make sure you always look at your corrado oncre you have locked it and start walking away, its always worth a look, lets face it your always inside it so this way you can admire yuour beast! My tip!
  16. You should recommend him to the Punto Forum! BMC make filter for Ferrari so I am sure Ferrari wouldnt skimp of an induction kit, I may be wrong!
  17. I did think about inventing a system for the C where you could pull a lever and the seat would completely fall back, rather than having to turn the adjuster for hours and then back up again when you get busted with your pants by your ancles by the police. I have never seen a police officer go red before! All he said was can you get a room!
  18. Snap, I like smooth R & B, hippop and dance and a bit of garage and some reggae, as well as some love music to take my misses to a romantic spot near the sea in Bournemouth or Sandbanks for those who know where that is. R Kelly Donnell Jones Usher Michael Jackson Bob Marley - for those smoking moments Maxi Priest classic Billy Ocean and every decent car must have a lional Richie, the women love it!!

    Running Strips

I took mine off, the car looks cleaner and newer with them off IMO, mine looked like a slighlty different shade but its so low down on the car you would have to have an eye ball attached to the door to notice. I had my car completely re sprayed now so it doesnt matter. Just have some good tar / glue remover and take your time, you will get angrey and just want to scrape it off with something sharpe wrapped around a cloth, but trust me, you slip and you have a nice sratch to then have to worry about.... TRUST ME! When ever I park in a car park I take up 2 spaces so nobody can park either side of me, hence no door dings. I had a mate once who owned an E36 M3 Cab in Techno Violet and it was on 18 crome rims, etc, it was a featured car and we went to Fleet service station nr the m3/ m25 and a 4 x 4 with a massive family just parked next to him and the children opened the doors on the rear, passenger side and the rear back doors and they all smacked the side of his car. He went so mad that he couldnt speak, I was just standing there thinking shall I call ambulance for either him or the kids!!
  20. From your graph, the normal engine power is down by 10 BHP! Thanks for the pics, but GT's are not Corrados and my experiences with Corrados are much more favourible than Puntos! Was an air feed applied in this case when using the BMC filter as from my previous statements referencing air measures?? I am sure that this was the case why the GT lost so much power, even still, I have run my VR with and without the cold air feed and you can tell the difference, but 10 BHP difference from a standard filter to a direct carbon airbox kit seems a bit strange to me. Do anyone else agree? I know of a few garages who deal sticktly with VW and they are great and they will only suggest BMC filters if you can afford it. The only other explination was that the filter was fitted incorrectly, IE the air flow meter was in correct as running a new system, secondly, when changing the air flow the car will have to be tunned to give the car more fule as you are gettore air in order to complete the cycle to gain more performance. At the end of the day if you whacked a supercharger on there you would have to set it all up if you give something more of then yoy have to compensate. Just like modifying a car, you change one thing then really to gain the full benifit you then have to replace something else. However, if all that was done then you can call me a cock sucker!
  21. THats weird, why do there fast road pads have the same compond as their normal pads, if thats the case then we are being led to believe that we are paying more for a better pad. Surely if they are fast Road pads they have to be different from normal use pads? I have heard that the EBC pads aren't great, has anyone experienced that? Where did you hear about the pagid fast Rd pads having the same compound Henny?
  22. Ok mate, tell me how he lost the power from direct, cold induction than apposed to warmer induction? Because the system relies on a cold feed, did he use the air ducting to get a cold feed of air IE from the bottom of the bumper or somewhere? I have a BMC filter on my car, well its a CDA, made by BMC wich simply stands for Carbon Direct Airbox.
  23. my Pagis pads have been giving me grief as they squeek and squeek. I have had the calipers completely cleaned and the back of the pads copper greased and they still squeek. It does my head in. I think its because they give off a lot of dust and get dirty real quickly They are good, most things like soft compund trres are dood but they wear quickly just like good pads. I suppose its the kevilar pads that are the nuts because they last ages and hardly give any break dust off but then you are talking serious money.
  24. KARMANN Yeah sorry , just re read my writting, I use a laptop now and the keys are closer together than my PC so I alsway hit the wrong buttons when typing at speed. The filter is BMC, the beauty of it is that you take away the air box and attach the new system / canister and that links to the regulator I think its called, basically the part that has the wiring that connects just further up from your exsisting airbox it is a pin plug connector where you oush the metal on the top and it releases the connector. It is this part that you keep and attaches into the top part of the canister. There is a plastic moulding, quite small to the left of the radiator if your looking down at it and this then enables you to route some air ducting down to the bottom of the bumber. Just wondering why a bloke at stealth racing doesnt rate them? Is that because he has a contract with Ram Air or something? Lots of people will only try and sell you the lines they do..... Lets face it, you can nessessary blow your engine up with an induction kit, so if they stock Ram Air or K & N then they will try and sell you them. On all packaging of these kits they all say that they give BHP increases but the BMC has be checked by other people wjho have them and they have reported back with 7 BHP. I still dont believe this but a few other came back to me from this forum and backed this up so that why I would stick wwith the BMC. I know for a fact that supplying the coolest air in the best fashion will help your engine so why Stealth Racing dont reccomend it when it has a carbon canister to keep the air cool and supplies you with an air feed, how you can go wrong. Maybe with the G60 it has something to do with the amount of air as the super charger has set amounts of air being pushed through I don know, but there are loads of raddos on the site that run an induction kit of some sort rules out the fact that induction kits are bad for the G60. I say that becasuse all of the people that have G60 want the best performance out of them so they wouldnt make the mistake by an easy mod ie the induction kit. Please come back to me if you dissagree. If you have any problems I can take a picture of it and post it on here?
