Thanks Michael. It is a great car and I love it, but I put it away with the intention of going over at least once a month and taking it out and it ended up sat for two years, so I think the times definitely come. In fact the only reason I still have it now is I shudder at the thought of dealing with potential buyers and all the messing about selling a car entails. I know I’ll regret selling it before it’s even out of sight. VR6Monkey - just do it mate! They always forgive you and the slap marks fade after a couple of days. Plus a couple of weeks of silent treatment does a man the world of good...

First port of call was the switch but thanks for your reply mate

Excellent cheers mate. How do I open the pics? I can see “attached thumbnails” but can’t click on it or see them

Brilliant thanks Hasan. My car has air con so am I right in thinking I’ll have that spring looking thing instead of a diode pack on the blower motor?
-
Don’t suppose you’ve got a link to your thread have you Hasan please?

Nice one cheers mate. I’ll start at the cheap end and go from there.

The fan speeds all seem to work, but are in the wrong order - something like number 1 is speed 3, 2 is 1, 3 is 4 and 4 is 2! Any ideas what could be causing this? I’m thinking it’s the switch on the dash but before I shell out for a new heater control panel, anything else it could be?

Bit of both really mate. Going to run it around a bit on the sunny winter days to iron out anything that may be lurking from being stored, then as soon as the weather gets warmer it will be going up for sale

Hi Sean - how you doing mate? Yeah I was surprised how easily it all came together - was expecting a leak or something to be seized but it all seems good (famous last words :D ) I can only put it down to my fabulous car building skills haha Yeah still got the 911, that won’t be going anywhere

Evening chaps (and chapesses) long time no post (again). My Corrados been in storage since October 2016 but I got a sudden urge to go and drag it out of hibernation the other night and after hooking up a new battery and some fresh fuel, this was the result Everything seemed ok other than a flat tyre and I didn’t have a pump with me so closed the door with a plan to go back with a pump and take it for a few laps of the farm where it’s stored to make sure all’s well. So I went back over yesterday, pumped the tyre up and it all seemed fine so I decided to take it the 22 miles from the farm to my house so I could get it ready for an MOT. The only issues that arose on the drive back were the tyres are a bit flat spotted, the wipers were very lethargic and the blades seem a bit hard. So this morning I nipped out and stripped down and greased the wiper motor and mech and that sorted the tired wiper issue. More to follow... :)

Is there a difference in the seals for metal or glass? I've got a Passat B3 Moonroof in my car and need a seal but can't seem to get a definitive answer if they're the same. One site says the glass seal is longer but I can't see how as it fits in the same hole....

Found anything interesting Cazza?

Think the theory is there's less chance of pulling the thread if the engines warm Jon. I think I'll just wait til I'm doing the oil and do them at the same time.

He could be the reincarnation of Princess Diana and Mother Theresa combined but personally I think his writing/editing style is poor and the quality of the magazine plummeted when he took over from Simon Jackson.

Haha see I always thought it was hot but just wanted to check...

Quick one gents - just gonna change my plugs and is it best to do it with the car hot or cold?

What. A. Car!! Stunning. Makes me think I should really do something with mine.... -
You could try my friend Ian at Leather Luxe Design in Emsworth 07496 679223. He was a trimmer at Rolls Royce but has just set up on his own. He's also a huge Corrado fan too :)

When 2CVs are regularly hitting £10k, I think it's madness any Corrado sells for less than that! It's been said on here in the past and I completely agree - the thing that keeps Corrado prices down are Corrado owners. Whenever you see a TV/mag feature they always rate them very highly. They are a truly great car we as owners just need to wake up and realise it. The whole reason I'm struggling with parting with mine is just what a great car it is.

The seats do tilt to allow access to the back and also recline for comfort. Won't be taking any bits off and if it does sell it will be sold as is. I don't know if I'll ever get round to a formal "For Sale" ad as I'm not really keen on selling it - it will just be a case of word of mouth and if someone's seriously interested they can come and have a look. I can't be arsed with dealing with dreamers and time wasters so if it goes it goes, if it doesn't it's fine where it is and I'll come back to it at some point. The C4S is fantastic Coullstar. Wanted one all my life and it hasn't disappointed in the least. I agree about the speed - the first day I got it I frightened the life out of myself but you soon become accustomed to it. The only thing I don't like about it is every car on the road seems desperate to get past you or sit on your bumper! "Guess what kids - daddy beat a Porsche in the Picasso/Quashquai/Corsa 1.2 today"

Mine had them in when I bought it and I've MOTd it four times so far and it's not even been mentioned
