  1. Yeah cool nice one. It's well worth a drive MZ ;) Incidentally if anyone has a nice Lambretta or 60s Vespa I may be interested in a PX.
  2. I'm actually going on holiday for two weeks on the 23rd mate sorry. I'm in no rush to sell at all, won't even be doing a for sale ad for a while yet so if you want to nip over some other time it'd be fine :)
  3. No rust anywhere, everything that normally doesn't work (sunroof spoiler etc) works, depends what gasket you mean - head gasket? No idea but chains etc done at 120k, 144k now, cv boots are like a tenner a throw but they're all good , engine bay is tidier now than in the pics, had it 5 years and in that time it's wanted for nothing and if there was a ticklist for Corrado upgrades this car has it. The lads on here and VR6OC that have seen it will vouch for it being a decent car...
  4. Well the main thing stopping me putting it up for sale, other than dealing with dreamers, is the price. I honestly have no idea whatsoever. What do you reckon fellas?
  5. Hiya Sean. Yeah it really is a fantastic car and I'll be sad to see it go when/if I do get rid of it. tbh I sort of hoped I wouldn't like the 911, but it really is a different league altogether mate.
  6. Alright lads :) Been a while but a change of circumstances (losing one of my garages) resulted in me having to pull the Corrado out and get it legal. Took it for an MOT and it went through with just two advisories - handbrake not effective (seized off while it's been laid up basically) and slight play in track rod ends. Not bad bearing in mind it's been off the road for nearly a year.... Needs a damn good clean then maybe going up for sale
  7. I kind of see my predicament like this - my Corrado is like the mrs you've been through thick and thin with, getting on a bit but still a tidy bit of stuff for her age whereas my 911 is like a 22 year old lap dancer I'm having a terribly sordid affair with. Now, do I leave the family home and throw my lot in with the lap dancer (ie sell the Corrado) or do I just wait until the lap dancer has rinsed me of all my cash and cleared off with someone else and go crawling back to my dependable mrs that's always been there for me...
  8. I must admit I did wonder what all the fuss was about the standard wipers because mine seemed perfectly OK to me. Then I fitted the TT ones and the difference was clearly visible (
  9. £45 a month is a steal for storage! I know how you feel though - I have days where I decide 100% the Corrado has to go, other days where I think I don't know if I could live without it.... I would definitely give it a few more months - it's a better time to sell but it's amazing what a bit of a drive on a sunny day does when it comes to selling a car
  10. Haven't been on here for a little while, haven't even opened the garage for a few weeks now but picked these up at the weekend (bought them in the summer) and don't know whether to fit them or not. It did trigger something and make me realise how much I miss driving the Corrado... Funny thing is as well wherever I go in the 911, if I mention the Corrado to anyone I always get a "Ooh I love Corrados" and not a dicky bird about the Porsche
  11. Cheers Matt Well at the moment it's tucked up for the winter. My original plan was to keep it and have it as my project but been ****ed about by insurance companies so in reality it may have to go. I'm not going to rush into something I'll probably regret so I'll wait and see how I feel in the spring.
  12. Cheers fellas. It's awesome! Still can't believe it's mine :)
  13. That's strange Sean. Don't know why it's blocked you - you're the only person on here I actually like  It's a metallic lapis blue 2003 Porsche C4S. I wanted a Jizz with built in Go Pro Go Out And Drive Really Slow Sensor but couldn't find one I liked so ended up with this. My plan was to keep the Corrado as well but the ridiculous way insurance works in this country I'm not sure I'm going to be able to :(
  14. I might show my face if I've still got my Corrado :)
  15. Not 100% sure there will be another C&C this year but well worth it next year. Was a 500 mile round trip for me but I'll definitely be doing it again
  16. I wouldn't bother with fancy paints - I've used Smooth Rite for years and never had a problem
  17. How about combining it with the Cars & Coffee Liverpool meet? That's a really good day out if you have a broad taste in cars
  18. That's the one I've got and I have to say as such a stupid gimmick those LEDs are well handy. Top tip for you gents - ice hockey pucks make excellent jack pads.
  19. If people are willing to pay £600 for two strips of plastic they deserve everything they get (and that's coming from someone who will pay almost whatever to get what they want, but even I have a stupidity level) Unfortunately it does have a knock on effect as anyone with a set of NOS ones will hike their price up and up. Hopefully the ease of availability of repro ones should bring the genuine ones down to a reasonable level. Probably not though - a fool and his money...
  20. Didn't realise you'd actually taken the plunge Coullstar that's great to hear. I went out for a spin in a 997 C4S a few weeks back and what a fantastic car. There's a 996 C4S locally I've got my eye on but I have 10 more days before I'll have the cash. Only downside is if I buy a C4S the Corrado will more than likely have to go. It's been an agonising wait but I'm nearly there :)

    Side Window Seals

That's excellent info cheers mate. I'm happy to have a go at most stuff but just worried about getting them bang on. If it's not that hard maybe I'll just risk letting a glass specialist do it. Cheers man :)

    Side Window Seals

Damn! Was hoping they were going to be filler seals as the glass is bonded. I'm really wary of having the glass taken out as had a bad experience with a screen fitter myself in the past and read plenty of horror stories about glass not being refitted properly.

    Side Window Seals

I know the side windows are bonded in but are the seals bonded to the glass? I'm thinking about getting the car painted but not keen on taking the side glass out if I can help it so wondered if the seals are removable?
