  1. LOADS better mate. Looks great :)
  2. Very. The only thing that puts me off is when Corrado prices go through the roof, my OEM++ is easily reversible to cash in
  3. It's obviously a good product Jim just not one I get on with. Same as Dodo Supernatural wax - I love Dodo waxes to the point where I would say Rainforest Rub is one of the best waxes I've used, I just find Supernatural awful to use and the results don't equal the effort for me
  4. That Harvey Rice does turn out some nice gear. One of the things I've been thinking about with my do I/don't I 911 conundrum is building my Corrado into a 4wd turbo monster...
  5. Is right Jim  I think I must be the only person on the planet that doesn't get on with SRP. Even back when I made the step up to Autoglym from Turtlewax and a TShirt I never rated it....
  6. Think you'll struggle to find a nice 944 for £3k these days - they seem to have really gained in value just recently
  7. Been through so many detailing products I've lost count! My current regime is Optimum No Rinse Red Mist Optimum Spray Wax. Until recently this was ClearKote Red Moose Glaze topped with usually Vics Concour or any one of a huge number of boutique waxes but I just don't have the time/can't be arsed with waxes anymore. Just can't quite bring myself to sell any of them though. Autoglym Fast Glass Autoglym Instant Tyre (like the satin finish this gives) Just changed to Planet Polish Wheel Sealant from Zaino ClearSeal for the wheel centres and Zeppelin for the dishes The black plastics were treated with GTechniq C4 before I bought the car three years ago and it's just very slightly started going off now so I'll be reapplying that in the near future Poorboys Natural look on the interior. Like Vag Hag says - try not to be dragged into all the "I know I said this was the best whatever you'll ever use last week, but this week I'm saying this is now the best" hype on sites like detailing world - it gets very expensive very quickly. In the end I bought sample sizes to see if I got on with a product before I bought the full size one
  8. Excellent cheers chaps. Stuey - let us know what you got and what I owe you and Chris I'll give you a shout for the remainders cheers both of you :thumbleft:
  9. Haha - done that as well! Ah - my interior panel doesn't tilt with the panel it stays where it is. It did on the old one as well - I thought it was supposed to be like that so you can have the sunroof open but keep the panel closed? Was definitely like that on my old Sierra as well. Maybe there are different types like you say?
  10. Thing is Sean - I'm not sure what the original arch liner screws look like. I have an assortment of random wood screws, self tappers and speed bolts. I want to try and avoid the dealer if I can cos although it's usually only 50p here and there it quickly spirals into a hefty bill Stuey - that's excellent mate cheers but as above I'm not sure what I'm supposed to have
  11. Not to me it doesn't Sean  I'm using a MKIII cartridge with the original Corrado inner sunroof trim and it all slides perfectly. The inner panel moves with the glass or on it's own...
  12. Exactly why I persevered for so long trying to put off replacing it mate - in the end I think it took a couple of hours, no more than a morning anyway. I fitted the complete cartridge including the motor then the panel once it was in. Having said that though, if it's had a new cartridge in the recent past I'm not sure I'd want to go down that route really. It's only £30 and a mornings work but still a pain in the arse if it doesn't solve it...
  13. Yes they are! I'm trying to sort a wiring fault on my inlet manifold temp sender but I don't 100% trust the wiring diagram is correct. The wire colours are different for a start
  14. Yep that's it mate except I went for a B3 Passat glass moonroof conversion while I was at it. Funnily enough the "100% working" Passat mech I bought was faulty - glad I tested it off the car before fitting. I was going to use the word cartridge as that's what I would call it but it caused mass confusion when I was trying to help someone on Facebook
  15. Fantastic work Jim. Wish I had the balls to take this on but I'm scared to start it with a running car - I know I'd go full tilt for a couple of weeks, then get bored/distracted and it would never run again! Well in for persevering mate well, well worth the effort
  16. That looks awesome mate.
  17. Chaps I had all the problems above - it worked beautifully with the Allen key so I swapped half a dozen motors, the wiring loom, the switch, greased everything up and everytime I thought yes that's sorted it, it would work maybe ten times then pack up. I swapped in a MKIII Golf mech and it's been fine for about two years now.
  18. Need a few random screws if any of you can help? Need all the arch liner fixings, door cards and a handful of interior fixings - a pillar screws, under dash screws etc Cheers
  19. If you do go down the bigger brakes route Rob, unless you're planing big performance mods, personally I would just go with TT 312s. I must admit the Brembos look great but for the money I spent I can't say the braking performance is massively improved.
  20. I tried Evo Stik Adhesive Remover, Surgical Spirit and White Spirit just because that's what I had lying around. White Spirit was the one that done it, the other two were useless but I used the SS to clean the areas up before I stuck the new foam on. One word of advice I would offer - I read on here to let the white spirit soak for an hour, I did this on the two right hand panels and it seemed to set the glue even more solid. I found it came off easier if I brushed the white spirit on and scraped while it was still wet Thanks Ian they're spot on mate cheers
  21. Finally got round to fitting the bonnet foam along with my GlosterOx bonnet pins and catch. If anyone's thinking of doing the same I can heartily recommend Ian's catch and pins and Sprinter35i's foam is fantastic quality, but man what a ballache it was getting the old glue off :( No idea what happened to the before pic but here's the during And finished...
  22. Got my MKIV rear conversion hoses from Heritage a few months back. Were the cheapest around at the time as well
  23. VW Heritage are the UK agents for Classic Parts and can get anything off their site for you. Only snag is it normally takes 3-4 weeks for delivery
  24. I know what you mean Rob and I've felt the same a few times myself and mines all been self inflicted! I know you can't but I just close* the garage door and walk away for a bit. As for sealing the membrane - I've used Wickes bathroom sealing tape in the past and it's worked wonders. It's like a roll of really sticky blu tac very much like the original stuff. Feels permanent but can be peeled off when needed. *slam
  25. That reply is scandalous isn't it? I'd like to say I've never been enough of a mug to buy expensive waxes but I did come very, very close to buying a used pot of Zymol Royale - that was more because I liked the pot than the wax though
