The normal up grade is mk4 golf but you will need different flexi's Refurb unit can be had from vwspares needs to be 38mm piston not the larger one for an estate.

Is this the one chris had ? Think it has duel illumination, but can't find a manual on line, think you press sel and 1. What sort of condition is it in assuming it can be changed to green does the cd and tuner work... I'm not expecting much as I know they are rubbish sound quality.... Don't want to spend too much either.

thanks chris.... is it out of the blackberry ??? what model is it ??? I put an alpine in the vr a few years ago and put the original sony on my boat. for some silly reason I sold the boat with the sony in last year. sony stereos are hard to find without orange illuminations....

still looking for a good condition, sony cd player from the mid 90's to go in the VR. used to have a cdx 4100 from new.... what you got.... must have green illumination. not wanting to pay too much :)

Bit off a polish. New rear vw badge / corrado script and vr6 badge in chrome on the rear. Before you ask they were bought In the late 90's from the dealer.

Cheers i have some of that, but thought as the foam was about 1mm thick the badge would sit proud. is conventional double sided tape better than the sticky foam stuff you use for number plates ??? does the foam squash down ??

just changing my corrado script and VR badge.... what sticky do I need for the VR badge. and should I change the four blue grommets for the script....

Thought I had seen these before... I initially noted the square worn patch on the drivers side seat base when they we're forsale a few months back. Can't be many seats with the same wear mark. Hopefully he's just swapped the interior for a standard one and trying to sell the recaros, rather than breaking the car.

Ta for the info.... just got the face plate apart... it has four orange LED's soldered into the circuit..... I wonder if you can get some green caps to fit..... and what colour you would get putting a green cap over orange.....

thanks I know its not possible within the head unit.... was wondering if you could take the front panel apart and change LED's / bulbs relatively easily with a bit of electrical know how.

theirs a set on ebay at the moment if anyone is brave enough to buy from Russia :) can you still get the late amp volt gauges ... think the part number is C 536919527.... not listed on heritage site.

is it possible to change the illumination colour within a vintage 1996 sony head unit from orange to green..... the unit currently has an orange illumination. if so how would I go about doing it.
