  1. I have a similar spec so could be interesting! However Andy said his is mental with only fwd drive so it looks like a change of chassis is in order to be able to use the power. Believe it or not that was not the best run they had, it was a complete bastard getting it to stay on the rollers apparently! There was another 500 or so revs still availabe but with the injectors at 100% you can see the fueling tailing off. Im sure once Andy has finished the fine tuning and revised the fueling etc there will be more to come. Kev have you heard how John @ Stealth is getting on with his? Must be getting close.
  2. Andy @ Storm put his Rotrex charged R36 MK2 on Emeralds rollers yesterday. Thought some of you might want to see the graph! http://i414.photobucket.com/albums/pp22 ... raph-1.jpg
  3. Ive got front 996 turbo brembos on mine, made my own brackets and fitted with 330x28 Cupra discs. They have fitted fine behind both my RS4 replicas and my TT comps with additional 10mm hubcentric adapters. I bought my blank mounts off German ebay for £50 and drilled, milled and tapped them to fit, its not too hard, offset is key.
  4. I was toying with fitting everything underneath but its so tight with a 4 litre tank, filter and pump! JKM have done an amazing job getting all 3 under there.
  5. Similar mate, my swirl pot is in the boot though and my filter is under the bonnet. I may have asked before Shaun but is your swirl pot baffled?
  6. Ive run AN 8 from the Sytec Cossie lift pump to my swirl pot, then on to the Bosch 044 and then up to the filter and FPR. Its then split to AN 6 to feed the fuel rail from both ends. I am running AN 6 return all the way through. It was a bit tight going through the underside box section on my Golf but thats all.
  7. In reality 7.5:1 compression will mean the car will drive like a dog off boost (Cossies, 5 Turbo etc.). Generally the newer the engine the more forgiving the engine, allowing slightly higher compression ratios to be used (BMW, Hondas etc). I used to run 1.5-6bar with 9.3:1 compression on my 12v. The higher the compression the more efficient the burn.
  8. Engine £500-£1000 Exhaust manifold £400 Emerald ECU £600 Remap £300-£400 Auxillary bracket for alternator etc £40 Thats all you need to get one in Im sure the rest of the stuff is 12v/Corrado/Golf. ie. throttle. If you good with wiring its fairly straight forward and want standalone management. Dont waste your money or 12v stuff!
  9. Also are you able to measure the voltage into the throttle pot and output voltage when you open the throttle? Does the DTA require a 0-5volt range?
  10. Is there somewhere online where i can download or read the manual for your DTA?
  11. What throttle Karl? What throttle pot? When you open the throttle does the voltage go up or down?
  12. Karl, you can use any mk4 golf manual petrol pedal mate if you want to go down this route. Part numbers are: BOSCH VW PART NO 381 101253 YB3 AUDI PART NO 1J2721503J OS I picked one up from ebay for £15 delivered. I reckon the DBW setup will be the best solution too!
  13. I cant believe what Im reading Karl! Some of the guys over the water have had good results with GT40s on the 3.2s. Not daily driver friendly though I would suspect.
  14. My build: http://www.vr6oc.com/e107_plugins/forum ... php?245462
  15. So long as your ecu is after a certain serial number, check their website, you can have it set to run an R32 sequentially and upgrade to K3, so switchable maps etc for just £30 + vat and courier back to you! Its approximately a week to 10 day turn around also. Its a very good service they have to say the least. All you need to do is pull out and swap over the pins out of the plug. Here is the pin layout with the VVT control etc.
  16. Is anyone using a Bildon motorsport shifter? If so do you have any pics, tips etc to fitting one? Alex
  17. Ben, The wiring diagram that Goose sent you, is for semi-sequential (3 pairs) injection. This, as I understand it, is the most advanced option on the emerald, as there are only 4 injector drivers. You could run fully sequential on engines with 4 cylinders or less, with Emerald. The diagram is based upon the Storm wiring, as they sent Goose the pin-outs. Going on the earlier remarks in this thread, it seems it's the optimum way to use the emerald with a 6-cyl engine. However I could be totally wrong..... and the above utter cobblers. As for power, I've been told just touching 300bhp is possible with the standard cams, a r32 sized throttle body, a "decent" exhaust [whatever one of them is in this instance] and the vvt running maxium overlap, using the emerald management. Like you said, the VR throttle has an appreciably smaller ID. Get your mate to sent his ecu to Emerald to be configured for sequential and they will install the additional 3 injector drivers that he needs. This is what I did a while back. Its only an extra 3 wires but it will make all the difference. The Emerald can have upto 8 injector drivers provided they have been configured to be used by Emerald. Ben your fax just isn't working bud, and I left the bloody sheet at work will get it scanned and posted on here for tomorrow mate!
  18. Im using a Nissan Q45 in place of the original R36 jobbie. I only paid £45 delivered for it and its just the right size!
  19. Dont the spark plug sockets fit or am I being dumb?
  20. Ben do you have a fax number mate? If not I will have to get in my loft and find my scanner!
  21. Dont worry Ben found them. 022260087D - bracket for alternator 022145299D - belt tensioning damper
