Humm might have to stick with elephant then.....declaring exhaust only puts it up by £30
  3. Looks familiar.....make sure you fit another rocker gasket!

    Quinn Direct

Has anyone had any experience of Quinn Direct? Their comprehensive quote has come in at a good price along with a nice low excess and legal cover..... Cheers
  5. It will also flash when the temp get too high...
  6. Welcome to the 16v gang! sounds like a billy bargain there
  7. nocrap

    water temp light

The light will flash if the water level isn't high enough or its too hot.....in this case it seems as if there isn't enough water in the header or the sensors knackered!
  8. Paving usually... The gun will run almost anything so long as its not wet, if it is it cakes up and blocks the gun.....when i was doing it i was reusing it off the driveway, picking up fag ends and other bits of grit...the gun worked fine, it just hurts more when the larger bits hit you!!
  9. Kiln dried sand is fine, that's what i did mine with. Just don't tell the place (Jewsons, B&Q, etc) that its for sandblasting as your not supposed to use it, instead you meant to use some stuff that costs £15 odd pounds a bag as it doesn't brake down into silicates and rip your lungs apart! but the kiln dried stuff and a decent filter mask will be fine....
  10. Yes i agree..... Ignition switch?
  11. I take it you took the lower mani off as well? if so could there now be a problem with the injectors? perhaps they're not sitting in their holes quite correctly?
  12. Humm well i was fairly sure that the VR ones are different.......also if you look on places like awesome gti the valver and VR ones are sold separately at different prices....I'm sure another knowledgeable person will say one way or the other soon...
  13. Sorry for the post whoring  more info on the TT's can be found here....... http://the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewtopic.php?t=43905
  14. The poor performance is due to the crap springs that the arms have, if yours work then thats great..it keeps it looking standard. My original ones were fine up until around the 70MPH mark, at which point they would lift off the screen! even with the spoiler on the blades! Lethal and really should have been a recall on the car by VW!
  15. Ben, Those off the TT? or was the word Audi in the link just to throw you off the scent? £75 includes VAT and postage? And this is a reliable source? cheers, ps - anyone know the price of original TT wipers? Only come in pairs too? Presume they fit exactly onto the corrado sprocket just fine? The word audi's just there to confuse you......they are the lupo ones for the corrado... Cant remember the exact price of the TT's from audi but i think they were around the £100 mark. you'll need 2 of the short arms (cant remember if its pass or driver) and yes they fit straight onto the splines....you may want to make a small mod to them with a dremmel as they hit the windows scuttle trim...
  16. Yes the piping runs for the 2.0 and the VR are different.....that one in the pic will be for the 1.8 or the 2.0 16 valvers
  17. The sensor (i believe) is on top of the oil filter / exchange housing....these is a green wired one and a yellow wired one. one does the pressure the other does the temp
  18. Get it on the VW diagnostics machine (VAGCOM) the 9a isn't particularly well managed but it should tell you the rough area... It detects the oxygen/co2 levens in the exhaust and adjusts accordingly......you remember a short while ago when people were having problems with dodgy fuel from tescos?? The lambda sensor was the thing that packed up on most because of it......
  19. Yes all the late wings will fit your VR, the problem is that the G60 could be early....you'll need one off a C thats got a __----__ bonnet rather than a --__-- one.... I believe that the bump stip was fitted as standard to all corrados, if its not there it's probably just been removed or its been resprayed!
  20. you'll find some more info on the 50mm here http://www.the-corrado.net/wiki/index.php/16v_Tuning_Guide
  21. yup thats the one!!
  22. not wishing to be pernickety here mr vr6 but "Engines, induction, tuning, cooling, sensors and all things under your bonnet!" but hey i didn't start the post so i don't care... But anyway this must be a simple enough thing........anyone?
  23. Hi guys, was doing a search () and thought I'd resurrect this post as I've got the same problem...... My MOT is due soon and it will certainly fail on both headlights at the moment, both are pointing to the sky...No i assume that you adjust the up/down using the white adjuster in the top left/right corners of the lights.......when these are turned nothing happens.. Cheers
  24. That audi kit will be no good, you would have to buy another short arm as the longer one is far too long for the corrado....you could however cut and re-weld it.
  25. Yeah, i didn't want to change the cam as well as i didn't want there being 2 possible causes if there were problems. Again with the cam you have to have it at TDC and i beleive that there are marks on the cam that you need to line up.....the only thing i know for sure is that its a good idea to change the chain which is around £10 from GSF!
