    16v Radiator

Yes the GSF VR one should be different to a valver one VR one is 630mm 16v one is 430mm
  2. Yes, sounds like dodgy wiring, the first easy and cheap thing i'd do before ripping the cable out of the car is to re-terminate the cable ends....get some nice fresh connections onto the sensors
  3. The ones on top of the oil cooler seem to be correct, you would have you oil light flashing at you if it wasn't. As for your first picture, i'm not too sure as it appears to be different to the 9a.....on the 9a the gauge sender is the one below the distributor and i beleive has a yellow wire going onto it....
  4. If you know for a fact that it was done then, then don't bother...just change the inlet cam. When you say take it to a garage to do the timing what do you mean? are you going to push or tow it? Running a valver with the timing out really isn't a good thing.
  5. Yeah go for it, take some pics...do a writeup then i'll do mine

    MPGs?

I put £50 fuel in and thats took me 350 miles until i filled up with the needle just into the last quater. Like i said my MFA never reads above 28, but that works out at around 32MPG and i still had more to go before the red so you could easily add another 2MPG onto that......
  7. This what your after? http://www.the-corrado.net/wiki/index.php/Lupo_wipers
  8. Just been out to look at mine.......would packing the holes where the cables go into help?? take the angled wire guide thimmy off and maybe wedge in something like a couple of matchsticks? That should stop the cable sliding back down the tube....only an idea
  9. I think basically it should sit band centre of the gauge when up to temperature which I believe is 100*c. After changing the water and coolant on mine my water is constantly on around 100 and the oil is anywhere between 100 and 110...
  10. Unless there's a way of bodging the broken one i think you may have to go with the the solder and heat shrink approach.....so there's no way of sorting out the contacts in the one that's broken then??

    MPGs?

This is frequently talked about on here....if often comes down to 'don't trust your MFA readout'. mine rarely reads above 28
  12. Mine is the 9a as is every other 2l 16v in a corrado........the 1.8 16v is the KR.....can't remember what the rest are.
  13. Because the ABF came after the 9a
  14. Well that's for you to decide....the 2.0 valver does have all the facelift bits though which made it more appealing to me.
  15. The sensor could be knackered, only a couple of quid to buy.....bit of a fiddly one to change though
  16. I'm losing lots of water from my new water pump, it seems to be coming from around where the cam cover bolts on......I went to tighten the nut and found it was loose so i reached down to feel it and found that the T bolt had sheared! 1. Would the lack of this bolt cause the pump to leak??? 2. I've just been looking on ETOS and there is no reference to the T bolt that is broken...any ideas?? 3. In the list of part numbers it shows 2 water pumps.... Now the one for my car I believe is the £30 one but there's another one that's about £75......what's the difference? the part descriptions are the same...... Cheers all.
  17. You can use the golf one for the KR and the passatt for the 9a.....but take it all with a pinch of salt
  18. Are you also getting more miles per tank though? A slightly stupid question i know, i just don't trust the MAF......
  19. Going camping near norwich.....apparently its goning to rain....oh well i've got beer and a guitar!
  20. 42mm has 3 small ribs on each inlet, the 50mm is smooth.....
  21. Have you got the part numbers for these please...
  22. Sounds like some sort of immobilizer to me, the one on my car does exactly that if it doesn't read the key in the ignition correctly!
  23. I was looking at supersprint too, but a number of places told me that they had discontinued parts......personally after seeing other peoples miltek systems i wouldn't bother! go for a magnex or custom.......... head in the direction of the exhaust discussion thread for more info
