    VW Mats

I have the VAG items in mine and the drivers side is just a mess. MJ do a custom set for 70 quid and just mats do them for a less with logo so think I will give these a bash as the dealer items just are not worth it will post a pic of the driver side if you want. Not proud of the fact they are in my car
  2. Here's a fitting guide for the panel when you get one http://www.kf010a4571.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/ goto download section and click on Corrado Panel Gauge Installation Procedure
  3. Dont go anywhere near these guys Dane Motor Company (Wrexham) Limited Rhosrobin, Wrexham, Clwyd LL11 4YL Give cowboys a bad name
  4. Maybe try putting the old dizzy cap back on as the new one may be the problem
  5. OK I got these and fitted them. For the G60 you need to screw on a connector to the top of the spark plug. Not noticed any difference (didn’t really expect to) but lead four behind the alternator because of its position is hard to get on right. So much so the thing was just resting on top after a few drives, so the car wasn’t firing on all cylinders :( any way I adjusted the screw on part but not the lead sits up higher than the rest exposing more of the plug. Anyone else fitted these and had the same problem or is my number four lead screwed. Bit disappointed that they don’t fit the same way as standard as they give a really positive grip on the spark plug. Is the fact that this is sitting higher going to cause problem i.e. damp cold start etc? I got the 8.5 mm and they fit in the standard clips and do look better :)
  6. will need tp try it myself i guess as mixed responce Only just got my optimax point card as well  suppose the nector card will now gain the benifits of my rapid use of fuel
  7. Anybody tried this? What RON is it? And is it better the optimax?
  8. Oh and Chris Knott also do Guaranteed value for an extra 25 quid and some pics
  9. Get a volt meter on them and you should see a reading. The you can tell if you have a good feed. Mines work a treat as long as you screen wash is strong enough. I have had it when the windscreen was so cold the screen cleaner got out of the washer jets and just froze to the window (Scotland eh :( ) cheers
  10. Opps sorry Henny Lazy eyes and fat fingers what can I say No worries
  11. Hi Henry, I'm really struggling to find this now. I know they do a vacume guage that matches the OE and I found this one only problem is it looks like it goes up to 30 psi (which is no use) but I guess they do a 15 psi version. http://www.volvospeed.com/Reviews/bgauge.htm http://www.dsm-performance.com/product_ ... cts_id=142 http://www.abdracing.com/Merchant2/merc ... y_Code=GPA the VDO website doesnt show all products so I guess you could email them and ask for a supplier. Also these guys do -30 to 25 so getting closer http://www.extrememotorsports.com/g2cat/bstgauge.htm I didnt book mark the dual gauge as I already have the boost gauge. And so really only looking for the vac myself.
  12. Try Chris Notts Insurance. If you get one you like they will give you a http://www.ckinsurance.co.uk/ discuount if you are in the Corrado Club of Great Britain (mebership pays itself) or HCI Barclaycard also beat any quote you find. These are the three I have used to insure my C in the past

    The Elusive G60

http://corrado.atx-hosting.co.uk/viewtopic.php?t=5510 Dont imagine this would need much work done on it and you could put the money you set a side for charger etc towards it. No mention of price but if you dont ask and all that.
  14. Oh and dont forget some may require a sender unit!!
  15. I got a my boost guage from http://store.summitracing.com/ they have a really good selection. Dont forget to get a guage that measures vacume as well (made that mistake myself) VDO do one that does the above and only goes to 16psi and doesnt say TURBO on it :) The VDO's look pretty stock but not sure if they do air fuel one. HTH also try http://www.gaugeman.com http://www.egauges.com/
  16. Heated washer jets as well when the rear demister is switched on. Im guessing thats standard as well.
  17. Oh no going from German engineering to Jap Crap :) Good luck with the interview (sure you wont need it)
  18. So the question has to be who do you work for now? or have you thrown in the spanner???
  19. Hey John how’s it going? Have you set a date for your trip? I've not seen anything announcements and as December becomes more of a drunken haze it becomes more probable that I'll miss the announcement! Been there for the last two years so would be rude not to!!! 8)
  20. Ah yip it all becomes clear Stay away from FOAM as the G charger can suck them in (not good) and go for the above. Could not figure out why I had the panel filter
  21. Got std suspension and 15's and ride is definately not crashy
  22. Hey Richard I think that is the best looking G60 engine bay I have seen. Two quick questions if you don’t mind what is the black box next to the coolant reservoir? Alarm, ABS? looks like a vag part hence the question. Also what is the blue cable going over the throttle body? Oh and a third how do you keep it soooo clean even the block looks spotless? Very nice mota a really stealth model cheers
  23. Hey there is a good video on the Italian Corrado club site that shows this and gives some more handy info http://www.corradoclub.it/videos/videos-main.asp videotchnical; Glader
  24. Because most cone filters allow more air thru and because they allow more particles thru(hence more air) to the charger this can cause excessive wear on the apex seals as they cause a sand paper like effect. So it best to keep the standard box. I like the sound of what Henry has done you could also get a K&N panel filter but again this runs the risk of letting thru more fine particles(dirt) that could shorten the service interval or worst case the life of the charger as if the seals give up your lucky if the charge will be serviceable. As Henry says its more important to get cold air thru and if its just the sound you are after drill some holes in it. There is instructions for the 16v on the Scottish Corrado club web site for the 16v(same principle) So You can get a heat sheild but the carbon canister is better And IMO go back to the standard box
  25. Sounds like a vacuum leak of some sort. When we where at the rolling road day they pulled a pipe out of the throttle body (Fuel pressure regulator or something) and the car kinda stutters and then gets the revs back up. So if you have a leak same thing I guess. Do you have a boost gauge? If not buy a cheap one stick it on and see how much VAC you have at idle. I don’t know much about engines so probably not the best person but the symptoms seem to match
