I had to do something with my visors as black leather, black headliner and beige visors didn't go too well
-
Unfortunately they all came like that iirc, in my old corrado I bought some fabric paint and sprayed the headliner it looked good the only thing is the visors are vinyl so come out gloss they would be better off being trimmed rather than sprayed, think there are still pics on here somewhere from when I did my headliner

No, if your stem seals or ringlands are passing oil this wont cure it
-
Yes its perfectly ok to do on hot engine as everything is upto temp its actually preferable to do while engine is warm but not essential, my number is above when you want it done just give me a shout :)
-
Its recommended to be done every 12 months There is a video on youtube that explains in detail about the process of how it breaks down the carbon [video=youtube;5VCuki_-vXQ]
-
Lol ;) now theres a good idea, why didn't I think of that? ;)
-
Sounds good to me :) can contact me on 07734310079 I'm in East Grinstead, cant do anything this weekend as the local factors didn't get my accelerator depress tool so got to re order...

Its fine to be sceptical but but don't knock something before you try it. To fill you in a little on the background of this treatment TerraClean is the by-product of research being carried out by a group of environmentally conscious Canadian physicists in their attempts to create an ultra low emission internal combustion engine. Their test vehicles were retrofitted with a "molecular injector" so they were operating the "TerraClean" system as part of the vehicle's on board fuel system. When their technicians stripped down the vehicles to evaluate impact of the technology they identified the fact that there was little evidence of carbon build up. Uncertain if this was due to the vehicles ages they specifically applied the technology to a known older vehicle, operated the TerraClean technology, then stripped down this vehicle too. The point was proven, all the carbon which would have build up in this vehicle throughout its years of operation was gone. Regrettably the running costs of operating a vehicle full time on the chemical solution with the molecular injector as part of the vehicle made the project commercially non viable. The emission levels while this service is being carried out is so low it can be done in your living room while your watching the telly :) So it looks like all the northerners are up for it but no one down south lol Steve I'm sure that could be arranged, I'm not sure you'll like the taste though
-
The treatment is very safe although like any work revolving around fuel lines there is a minimal risk, the machine is tapped in at the fuel pressure regulator (pic added) and the fuel pump can either be disabled by unpluging relay or pump connector or with the non return valve adapter. The real proof is how the car drives before and after, I guarantee you will be surprised by the results If someone arranges a RR day I would be happy to do the service while its going to get before and after results

I wont give away too much ;) Edd doesn't actually do much of the work on the cars (only snippets when camera is rolling) its actually Paul the other guy in the workshop that does most of the work Apparently Edd charges £10.000 a day if you want to hire him for a promotional event, for the Terra Clean product its only £200 p/hr lol cheap....

I dont do many shows these days but would be a possibility once I ve sorted a van and generator out, RR days or group meets would be ideal as its a fairly quick process once plumbed in. I'm located 10 miles from Gatwick airport and currently the only dealer in the Sussex area Wheeler Dealers is a bit slap dash for my liking but occasionally has some interesting stuff on the show, found out quite a bit about Edd China since purchasing this equipment...

So guys & gals I have a new piece of kit may be pof interest to you. Its new to the UK market (launched January this year) it had its debut on tv a couple of months ago on the discovery show Wheeler Dealers, they demonstrated it on their Jaguar XK8 project car with some pretty interesting results. for those that haven't seen it, someone has kindly put a clip on youtube :) Well the results speak for themselves I received the equipment late last week and got straight on to doing the G60 and Skyline, the difference was instantly notable improved throttle response and pick up, smoother acceleration with less hesitation, its claimed to improve fuel economy too but haven't been able to confirm this yet as I haven't put the mileage on to notice. This isn't like any of those off the shelf bottles that you bung in the fuel tank and hope it works, this is a complete self contained, one hit service that removes carbon deposits from your intake valves, pistons, O2 sensor (cat if you still have one) cleans injectors etc etc The treatment takes approximately 20-40 mins to complete I am happy to be able to offer this service to anyone on here who wishes to refresh performance and maintain a healthier engine. Prices upto 2ltr engines £60 over 2ltr engines £75 Am happy to travel to your location (within reason) just require a power outlet for the compressor Also able to offer group buy discount if several people want to get it done at the same time Any questions comments welcomed Cheers Ant

The "what I did to my Corrado today" thread...
Banana Man replied to Jim's topic in General Car Chat
Today I ve fitted the 2 front FK coilovers that were sitting in the boot, fitted a new lambda sensor as emmisions were over 12.5% eek!! fitted 2 new handbrake cables, got the horn working and have now got it through the mot so all in all pretty happy. Next thing to sort is most likely to be a heater matrix, no warm air in cabin with fan on :( but no leaks as yet, gonna try a flush out first, see if that cures it, if not dash out :( -
11 and 12 are high beam left and right and 13 is the horn As for fuel pump priming I would check your fuel pump relay (#67) bottom row of relays second from the right
-
Dash speakers are 10cm (4")
-
rear caliper pistons are 38mm iirc

This scheme is a complete waste of time as far as I can see, the system that they use in Australia works very well and should be something that the government should consider implementing over here. In Australia you pay one annual fee 'rego' this includes road tax, compulsory third party insurance and license plate renewal (effectively mot) The good thing about this system is that it doesn't matter who's driving the car, if it has rego it is insured, as the third party insurance covers the car not the individual. This sytem = Less paperwork, all in one process, less hassle, would lessen chances of people driving without insurance, easier to spot law breakers But seeing as this is rip of britain I doubt we will ever see anything like this implemented in this country My mate in Australia pays $600 ( a shade over £300) a year for his $27000 (£14k) 350z, I'm paying £485 for insurance, £205 for roasd tax and £55 for mot for my 20 year old G60 and then theres the 90% tax or whatever it is now on fuel just to run the frigging thing, makes me boil over just thinking anout it.

One of our calls at work is mclaren hq in woking, one of the techies spilled the beans the other day, it makes sense as if you look at the build of him and the lines the stig takes round the track, only F1 guys take those lines into the corners....
-
I ve been lurking for the last couple of weeks mate, bought a DBP G60 a couple of weeks ago :)
-
The new stig is a very well known british F1 driver spends alot of time in woking (hint hint) :) can you guess who it is? :0 The F40 is one of my all time favorite cars, would have been awesome to see what kind of time it would do round the track shame :(

I wont use places like kwik fit for mot's for reasons above, me and a mate took his car to a kwik fit once for the 'FREE' winter check up, got the car back with a list longer than your arm of things that supposidly were dangerous ie all four shocks leaking ( nope they just poured brake fluid over them to make it appear they were leaking) discs and pads all round ( nope nothing wrong with them ewither) the list just went on and on and the quotation for the work they gave him was over £1200 pmsl.. Wouldn't even trust them to fit a tyre for me these days even if I was desperate.. I take my car for an mot at a garage that purely does mot's, no chance of failing it to get more business, yeah you pay a little bit more but you save in the long run, plus if it does fail you still get 2 weeks to sort it out yourself and get a free retest

Mines all installed now, I have to say it was a bit of a nightmare, but its in and working, will get around to tidying it all up when the weather dries out a bit.
-
I painted my lining with good results on my old nugget yellow corrado. I painted mine with plasti kote aerosol from homebase, waited for it to dry and brushed it over, it came out pretty well, you can now buy simply spray fabric paint now which is fairly cheap at £5 a can. A couple of pics before after

Just been installing the alarm as it didn't have one on it, or so I thought, removed some of the dash trims which revealled one of the worst alarm installs I ve seen, spagehtti wiring all over the place, wires cut and not reconnected, going to take a while to sort the mess out grrrrrrrrrr

Nah 'F' that Chris I ve already got the skyline that I can throw money into, the G60 is just for the daily hack
