So far it's cost me £300 for the blo*dy headlight ( and everyone thought corrado parts were dear ) which is coming in tuesday if I have to get the bumper replaced thats another £350+ £80 odd for painting , I ve managed to pull the dent out of the wing just needs a slight adjustment and a blow over to get the scratches out, so it all should be fiixed in time for the liner meet next saturday and the rado meet on sunday but slightly lighter on the wallet unfortunately!! All fingers crossed -
Not even one week has passed and someone has fu*ked my car up for me!!!!        It looks like a lorry has side swiped it or reversed into it while it was parked down the road from where I work, I came back to my car where I had left it this morning to find that half the bumper has been smashed off, the wing dented and the headlight smashed, and no one seems to know fu*k all about it!!! The police have been phoned and I went to seee the MD of nighfreight ( the local parcel company) that was near my car but he had heard no reports of any damage caused or heard anything. So basically there is sweet FA I can do about it apart from getting it repaired and brunting the cost. It looks to be about £700's worth of damage as the front bumper is £450 the headlight £256 ( from nissan) and have the wing pulled out!!!!    Just what I didn't need at the moment!!!! Thoroughly PI*SED OFF there are so many w*nkers out there it's un true!!!

My vote goes for the TSR pack C head ( now fitted to saiosg60's car) I never got mine rolling roaded with the head fitted but iirc Cai'd car put out 216 bhp with the head, cam and charger work best figures I ve seen yet with those mods!!!
-
No Henny mine was the RS2 front bumper add on spoiler you got the complete RS4 bumper with the grilles on the sides and the squarer front. I wanted the RS2 so went for the bumper add on as I wouldn't touch the fibreglass ones with a barge pole!
-
heat em up first I ve always found that works and while they're hot spray some plus gas around them it absorbs better that way. But if he's just changing the pads he wont need to touch the 2 allen bolts as he wont need to take the carriers off, just the calipers need to come off which is the 2 13mm bolts that hold the calipers in need to come out!!

Yeah if you phone them ask to speak to John he sorted me out when I was declaring all my mods and he knows what he's talking about unlike most other insurance companies. With Brentacre you insure the power of the vehicle not the mods but you do obviously have to fill out a mod sheet whebn you take a policy out with them so they know whats fitted and they also repair like for like so if you have a modded bumper they will replace it for the same. The underwriters are actually highway policies which I was also with when I was going through HIC.
-
Generally most insurance companies are like that but saying that Brentacre have been great I got straight through to them today and they sorted me out the quotes really quickly.
-
If you are then they should replace all the trims at the same time ome of them across the top is underneath the bonding for the screen anyway which will definately need to be replaced when the new screen gets put in.
-
Are you covered for glass on your insurance?
-
new screens just come with the plate bonded to the screen and then the rear view mirror twists onto the plate if you catch my drift. A new screen from vag is £170+ vat iirc and then you gotta get it fitted. I had a hell of a job trying to get mine done as my insurance didn't cover glass and all the big names like autoglass, RAC and all that, mainly do insurance work so they wanted around £500 to get the job done. I got it done for £180 all in in the end but the guys who done mine were a bunchn of cowboys and completely f*cked it up and had them out twice to sort it out.

This is what you need such a simple little tool that makes lfe a hell of alot easier the part number is 52334 most motor factors should sell them, we used to knock them out at £3 so hardly going to break the bank! :D

As expected it was shite last year (apart from the camping) so thought I'd give it a miss this year and by the looks of it it was the right decision to make! BRING BACK TRL!!!!!!!

mmm that looks delightful!! :) -
You'll probably find it's something like the suroof drainage tubes that are blocked or something causing the rain water to overflow off of the sunroof mechanism. If it's a bad panel joint around that area I would be seriously concerened as they should be all nicely welded and sealed!

I now have a dent in my flamin bonnet again due to the front engine mount bracket shearing, last time it was the engine mount that failed that caused the dent so I had a solid front mount made for it but this time it has snapped the bracket where the bolt from the starter motor passes through it. Guess I'll have to get a custom bracket made up now a solid piece of billet aluminium should do the trick I reckon to stop the ba*tard from ever causing me grief again!!! Thoroughly pi**ed off now!!!

Up until 2 weeks ago I would have said that the ZZ3's were good tyres but my opinion of them has rapidly decreased as I ve just had to replace my 2 rears as one of them for no apparent reason has bulged from the inside out causing exstensive vibrations through the car, at first I thought it was the balance weights had come off causing the wheel to be out of balance, but then it got worse and it was so bad that I thought the wheel bolts had come loose, but on closer inspection the tyre was completely out of shape. I ve just taken them to my tyre fitters and before I could get out what what make they were they had already guessed what they were as apparently this is quite common on these tyres. Air gets trapped between the outer casing and the inner reinforced casing causing the tyres to bulge from the inside out! I'm probably going to take this up with Avon directly as the tyres shouldn't have needed replacing for at least another 10k and I ve just had to shell out for a further £150 as I ve had to replace both rears. I ve replaced mine with toyo proxes which I have now been using for 2 years and they seem to be good al rounders imo and at £65 a piece they aren't that expensive. Here is a link for them http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... 40118&rd=1 They would be a better buy imo to the zz3's hope this helps!!

I got my rs from http://www.tuning.co.uk/rieger/ they're made of abs plastic as well, so alot tougher and a better fit than the fiberglass rubbish thats about.

I ve just ordered a few 90 degree bends, a 135 degree bend, and a reducer bend to come down from 76mm to 63mm. I'm gonna use 3" pipe to make up the rest of the pipework and if neccessary get it mandrel bent to get the right angles on it! -
