  1. My dyno plot for me g60 was 202bhp @ the flywheel and something like 183 @ the wheels!!!!
  2. And usually 10 times worse!!! :(
  3. Alright nigel I recently had to replace my rad as it had a hole in it, it cost me £75 all in I think euro car parts charge £80 + vodka and tonic. Jim is kind of right about it being a sod to change as you have to take off the boost hoses and the cowling before you can contemplate removing the rad and the bolts holding the cowling can get quite rusty I sheared 2 of the bolts when I tried to undo em and had to re drill and tap it to get new ones in place all in all it took about and hour and a half to get it out and get the new one in but most of that time was drilling and tapping the new threads in!!! Try the rad weld first as it is pretty good s*it my hole was too big to fill and was knackered anyway so I just replaced it!! (Might as well I ve replace everyting else)
  4. The bottom bolts of the struts can be a nightmare to get off if they are rusty, but firstly I might point out to you that a torque wrench should be used to do the bolts back up again to the right torque settings as when the desired torque is hit it will click to let you know the right torque has been achieved, what you need to use is a breaker bar to get the bolts undone as you get better leverage than just a standard ratchet. I dont know weather you noticed when you were trying to get the bolts un-done that there is a nut on the other end of the bolt intside the trailing arm you'll need to get a spanner on that to stop that from turning with the bolt when your un-doing it.
  5. Oh come on!!! I wasn't even pushing it, we didn't even hit 100mph what you worried about ya big girl!!! :D
  6. Yeah definately sounds like heater matrix to me as well. They're in quite an awkward position to get to as well you have to take the dash apart to get to it!!
  7. Next sunday chap if everything goes according to plan!! Anyone else want to have a go against me!!! :D BRING IT ON!!!!!
  8. 6000 aint the redline darren 6200 is :D I dont take it to 6000 I was just exagerating to get the point across :D
  9. Bring it on Darren!!! :D Hurry up and get my charge cooler finished I wouldn't want you to have any advantages over me!!! :D I wheeeeepppp your asssssssssss!!!!!
  10. Sorry could'nt make it guys the frnt engine mount really needs to be sorted before I go caning it up the strip again!! It's more than likely I'm gonna go up the pod next sunday as I should have the engine mount sorted by then!!
  11. I have just done the ISV re route mod today and thought I'd let everyone know what a worthwhile mod it is, the sound is absolutely awesome when it dumps the pressure at 6000rpm, it puts the sound of an rs dump valve to shame. Unfortunately I dont have a digicam that can record the sound otherwise I would record it and post it, I will on the otherhand put some pics of it on here tomoz once I've cleaned it all up and got it looking nice. I didn't see an increase of boost which I thought it would but not really that fussed, the sound compensates for it!! It's the best £20 I ve ever spent on the car! Cheers darren!!! :D
  12. You could also try TSR as they do a tubular stainless manifold for the 8v lump!!!
  13. Blown alright mate the legislation on cats is that if your car was made before Jan 1st 1993 you are not required to have a cat on for an MOT test if your car was made after this date you have to have one to pass the strict emmisons test!
  14. I dont know if they are are corrado branded or if they come with just the VW logo on them.
  15. I think there would be a lot of work involved but the golf ralley transmissio setup is probably the way to go but I dont know if the transmission tunnel is deep enough totake the propshaft and exhaust!!!
  16. Or even better take the carbon cannister out reroute the pipework through the hole and have the air intake out of the engine bay completely!! No hot air to duct away you see!!!
  17. Whats the point in getting 4 wheel alignment when only the front 2 wheels are adjustble for camber and tracking the back 2 are on a fixed axle and are not adjustable its just a waste of money really if you get charged for 4 wheel alignment. sorry to interupt!! Carry on!! :D
  18. Nigel I think you'll find that 12psi is the average for the stg4 and 68mm pulley mine runs at about 12psi. it has gone upto 13 a couple of times but then belt slip cuts in and I loose a bit of pressure!! I'm doing the ISV re route tomoz so I will be able to find out if this does actually increase the boost pressure or weather it is just a myth. I find it strange how some people run higher pressures with the same mods, It must just be purely down to who done the work on the stg4 and how good your engine is I suppose.
  19. I got a brand new cv it's not a recon one so shouldn't have anymore problems with it for a while at least!!! :?
  20. whos ya daddy! :D no probs mate!!
  21. Right to all of you who want mud flaps on your C here is the part number from the stealers it is 821-VAG-857 they come in pairs and are the same front and back so you need to order 2 sets to do front and backand they're £18.99 per set. MMMMM suits you sir!!!!!!
  22. Joby I spoke to my mate at VAG today and he say's that the bolsters are still available there are 4 sets at the milton keynes head quarters and there is nothing on they're computer telling them that they have been discontinued? the part number I have been given for the right hand side bolster is 535-881-378b and they are £26.25p each
  23. Right Paul I looked up the anti roll bar for a mk2 golf gti 90 model and a corrado 91 model and the anti roll bars are exactly the same part number so a mk2 eibach anti roll bar should go onto a corrado no problem!!!!! Hope this helps!! :D
  24. I dissagree many of the golf mk2 parts do in fact fit the C as I have just replaced the anti roll bar bushes and the part numbers are the same as mk3 and mk2 golfs so your in with a chabnce I'll have a look at work on our system to see what the part nunmbers for each are and get back to you!!
  25. Joby There will still probably be some bolsters lurking around at dealerships around the country your dealer probably only looked at head quaters branch to see if they were available ask your dealer to see if there are any at any of the VAG dealers they will charge an extra £10 carriage charge to get them to your dealer but it might be worth it if you need em. Just a thought anyway!!
