if you are really intrested you could ring VW with the reg number and see if they have any SH on it.... It might be of some use or none at all!! The mk4 is a really nice golf, the non pd engines can still be chipped and made to be quite nippy, although I dont think i'd bother if its got 180k on it.. Out of interest how much is it? I wouldnt want to pay anymore than £1500 imho.

G60 Very nearly stalls possibly fixed - bad connection!

i had a similar issue on my 2.0 8v golf - turned out to be the throttle body. but it was naturally aspirated so i dont know if it is an issue on the supercharged cars, but it is cheap and easy to find out... just take the throttle body off and give it a clean with brake cleaner. sorry if this is of no use, hope you get it sorted. :) -
Can you afford to run a corrado, 1.11 per litre?
mattosmond replied to anndy's topic in General Car Chat
anndy - i was in london last weekend and stopped at a bp near earls court the petrol was 101.9 ...... cheaper than it is near southampton... so i do think it just varies on where you go tbh.. ps i agree texaco are v expensive all the time.. -
whats the mileage? Service history? body work condition? if it is a genuine car then i would sel her instead of breaking... it is alot kinder allround!! :)

http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stor ... ryrn_79351 The above Sony CD player has got built in bluetooth,,,, its £99.99 fitted from Halfrauds... anyone got one? are they good? Bad? Useless? cheers -
3corsameal, i have gsf brembos on my gti at the minute, they are very good indeed, but i guess you cant go wrong with a good brand BUT i have found gsf sell very poor parts, i have had 3 water pumps for my mk3 gti, then a dealer one and it's fantastic (the gsf ones kept on ripping all the belts off and eventually burst my radiator). 3 sets of rear wheel bearings, this last set seem fine, but wait and see... One plus point for them is their customer service.. On all of the above parts I have only paid for 1 item and they have covered all labour and parts on the repairs without ay pushing... imho I would buy dealer parts now if i can afford them, they simply are just better parts..

Surely it would be roughly a follows: Oil Oil Filter Air filter Spark plugs (if it needs them) Fuel filter Dizzy Cap (does a vr have these?) Rotor arm ( " " ) Belts A top up with coolant (g11 or g12 i think) Then more things will get done as you find faults!! ha ha like cv boots etc etc... GSF if you call them should sort you out.... Filters are cheap from the stealers too if you prefer genuine! matt

oh well sh!t happens yet another bullsh!t vw specialist gone!!!! at the end of the day they are a GARAGE.... why does specialist in their title mean they have to charge more, i wouldn't bother with any apart from 2 that have good reputations on here..... special name = special prices!!! BBT are wlecome to them,,,, like you have afore mentioned they are max power tat sellers at best...
