Thread revival time. Are the part numbers listed on the previous page just for the 16v or are they for the VR6 as well? If they are only for the 16v has anyone got the part numbers for the VR6. Rob. -
Ah, the reinvigoration, hydration replenishment and firming of the interior posterior receiver is vital too. (Feeding the leather!) Lmao

Im not getting anything sprayed otherwise i would because i want to get that done eventually. What he's doing is machine polishing it to de-swirl it all, then using this wax sealant that costs £380 per kit which completely seals in the finish so you hardly have to wash it and it looks better than new. He was showing me all these pics of cars he's done and they look superb! He also done all the work on a Need For Speed style BMW M3 that MTV gave away a little while ago. And in return for this work im sorting out a website for him to advertise his work better because he's sh*t hot.

Yes mate :)

It doesnt take too long mate, the only hard bits are getting bolts off if they have been on there a while. You will see how the top mount goes on when you take the suspension off and see how the old ones are on. They go on top of the coilover. I have took a few pics of mine to show you (im running the same suspension and new top mounts). Rob.

Just been to see a guy who knows his wheels and bodywork and have just sorted out a fantastic deal with him which involves my wheels getting refurbed in a 'special' way and a treatment done to my whole paintwork so WATCH THIS SPACE 8) :D
-
DO IT! :D I on the other hand have changed my mind now, im not going to change my wheels instead im getting a rather special refurb done on mine so keep your eyes peeled for new pics in my gallery 8)
-
No good im afraid guys, i have just been to see a guy in the know and apparently it can be done but only if the offset is square, mine however are slanted and so cant be done :( so thats that idea out the window then. Im not going to get some new wheels as this guy is doing me a fantastic job refurbing them with some special technique so they BLING 8) and so keeping them. Therefore i will be visiting the body shop to see if there is a way of pulling the arch out a tad or removing more of the arch lip without splitting and need of a respray. Oh and im also getting something else done so watch this space ... 8) Rob.

That red one does look good 8) I had this pic as my background for a while :D

Yeah a few people have said they wouldnt bother, but the guy that told me about it (cant remember who it was) had his done and had no problems (from what i know of anyway ). It just seems the only options to stop catching are to flare the arches which would cost a fortune as it would need the rear quarters respraying, or change the rear wheels for 2 new ones with et30 offset, which i suppose i could do and flog my 2 rears, but then its going to be hard to sell 2 wheels and plus they are quite bad condition so need refurbing etc.
-
As you can all see i have some uber wide wheels on my C, and now im on coilovers and want it sitting quite low i have obviously got problems with the wheels fouling the arches. My set up is 9x16's all round, the fronts are et30 with 3mm spacers and have the arches rolled with slight negative camber, and these dont catch at all. The rears however are et15 and i have angle grinded the rear arch lips down to a safe point so i dont risk splitting them (i have resealed them before anyone mentions it!) and these are the bastards that catch. They are ok with just me in the car and hardly any fuel but as soon as i fill up or take someone else in it then they catch. So i asked around a while back and somebody mentioned getting the offsets skimmed down at a metal workers. Has anyone else done this before? I think i might know somewhere that can do it but now i need to know by how much and how much i could take them down to still be able to use the original wheel nuts. Would 5mm be enough (et20) or shall i take about 10mm off and then use spacers? Any advice on this would be great :D Rob.

I think the reason its referred to as 'Detailing' now is because valet isn't enough as now you can go down the road and pay the kosovans £3 for a 'valet' so to me spending all day with numerous products and using correct equipment etc is better than just a 'valet' so therefore detailing sounds better.

Ouch!!! thats gunna cost a bit!!

The nuggets wheels look like Keskin KT4's to me but i might be wrong :?
-
im thinking the exact same thing  aren't those wheels really rare though?? Bet they are bloody expensive as well :(
-
How about THIS one  Only joking mate. Good luck with your search, there are some great VR6's out there, take a look at our buying guide in the Knowledge Base and get out there looking! :D

I have this problem sometimes, its the oil pressure senders on top of the oil filter housing, one is for below 2.5k rpm and one for above, over time the connections have become perished and so if you replace the sender for below 2.5k (as thats when it happens) it should be ok, and then whack a loaf of WD40 over it to stop water penetrating it. You might want to search for it as wel as i might be wrong.

I have been thiking about removing my side strips but i dont want to regret taking them off lol. So what does everyone else think? Will it improve the look of my car or is there no point? I am really liking this look at the minute 8) which has no side strips and is colour coded (its p'shopped my colour btw so not perfect).
-
The standard rims are 15's mate
-
Welcome to the forum mate, the car looks like a nice example and there's not that many nuggets about on this forum so yours is quite exclusive :D
-
Yeah i had to do this to change my door pulls. I didnt know that the handle surround just slides, it takes a bit of force but just push it to the side and it comes off, then just take the hook off and take off the handle.

Good lord there are some damn sexy corrados about  Im really felling this look on mine right now
