  1. Mo signs of water getting in yet so it should be ok. Although over time it might get in so i might just silicone it anyway :?
  2. I came from a ford fiesta  but i still love mk2 golfs, always have just never got to own one, although my sister does now so i drive that occassionally. Your bro's golf looks great mate, unlucky about the wheel, they really suit it.
  3. Well you could just buy the wheels with the right offset  these just come up for the right price near by so took them otherwise i would of bought the rears et30 as well and spaced them out a bit. The guy who i had them off (Bendy) has flared arches and now has 9x17 Keskin KT4's which look uber cool 8)
  4. Well its raining now and no doubt will again tomorrow and the next day etc  so i will check to see if any water has got in and if there has then i will use some silicon on it as well! I will colour code it eventually as well as i want to colour code my passat door handles and if i get one of those model corrados i am going to spray that too :D
  5. Looks like they only do burgundy and aqua blue mate but they might bring out other colours eventually. Or you could just spray it which is what i am going to do 8)
  6. Ouch well if you wanna go low then be prepared for some arch work mate! I have 9x16's all round, the fronts are et30 with 3mm spacers and the rears are et15. The fronts are under the arch and dont catch with the arches rolled. The rears however stick out past the arch and are a cnut, i have angle grinded the rear arch lips down (and re-sealed them!) but they still catch like a bitch so i had to raise mine up a bit which looks gash. So my only options are to either flare my arches which will mean respraying the rear quarters (but does look fantastic!) or mill the centre of my wheels down 5-10mm or so which is what im going for but i just gotta find somewhere that will do it :(
  7. Sorted now, i just went out and put the rubber washer/seal back on under the gromet and now its really tight, no way any water is going to get through now :D
  8. Yeah it does seem a bit slack, there was a rubber seal on there when i took it apart so i might put that back on and then put the gromet back in and see if that makes much difference. Jim, the rear wipers are useless anyway, get it off!! looks much smoother and neater at the back now.
  9. Yeah i thought that, it has cream/beige centres on the seats :?
  10. Thanks alot guys, there are loads of nice tidy rados on this forum so im not going to get big headed  The guy i asked in halfords didnt know what i was on about when i asked for some rain-x  i will have to check CT Autoparts i bet they will have some.
  11. Yeah but thats because i have them wound down quite far and have uber wide wheels with stretched 40 profile tyres  Neil said he's not bothered about comfort, i drive mine every day so just wondered if there was a way of making it a bit more comfortable but im not fussed now, gunna get all my bushes etc replaced and de-rattle/soundproof interior which should make it a bit better. Plus the majority of the comfort issue is the sodding roads round my way, they are terrible :x Anyway regardless of comfort they hold the road superbly!
  12. I got bored today so thought i would take off my rear wiper. So i went to halfords and bought some blanking gromets to fill the hole in then come home and followed the guide in the Knowledge Base. It was a piece of pi$$ to do and only took about 5 minutes. I couldnt get any Rain-x though so i will just have to put up with lots of water on the back window for a while. Where can i get some rain-x from? Here are a couple of pics 8) Rob.
  13. Well i wouldnt go TOO low until they are bedded in really. I would just set them quite low and leave it for a few weeks until they are bedded in then go as low as you want. They do go very low which is good 8)
  14. Golf every day of the week closely followed by the asbo focus 8)
  15. Looks good. That ebay link hasnt got anymore left :( Where else can you get them now?
  16. I have them coilovers on mine, they are very good imo you will certainly enjoy them!
  17. I would just get your arches rolled mate, then you wont need to worry about your tyres shredding if you go over any potholes/bumps.
  18. Pics?? Where did you get yours from?
  19. Nope, you can get away with different offsets on different models really. The VR6 has a wider track than the other models so if you have a low offset you are more likely to foul the arch. For example i have 9x16 rims all round with et30 on the front and et15 on the rear. The fronts are under the arch and dont foul suspension or anything, the rears however stick out past the arches and catch the arch. Where as guys with the same size wheels on a 16v or G60 etc can run et15 and the wheels are still under the arch on both frnot and back but im not sure whether they have any problems fouling suspension etc. Hope this helps, Rob.

Best bet would be to PM PhatVR6 and ask him really mate or use the search as its probably been discussed a number of times before.
  21. And a very nice, very fast supercharged one at that :lol:
  22. What wheels have you got planned for it cymru-corrado? Or are you going to do a Riley and keep us in intense?
  23. Nice one Marcus they really suit your C imo much better than the old ones :D More pics!! :D
  24. The corrado vr6 is more powerful and will handle much better than the goof although standard the corrado is rather high (especially late one!!) so you may as well upgrade suspension anyway, but with quality stuff the corrado is one of the best FWD handling cars ever imo!
