  1. Yeah i thought that as well. I think he was very brave watching the crash, you could see him filling up at one point but you cant blame him i bet it was quite hard watching it!
  2. Hi, This isnt really corrado specific but i cant figure out why its doing it and just wondered if anyone else would know. I have a sony CDX M800 headunit and have connected up my ipod to it using one of these: And it works BUT although there is sound coming from both front and rear speakers, there is no bass and the quality isnt great, however if i disconnect one of the RCA's and leave just right or left in the sound only works down one side of the car BUT the quality is brilliant and has loads of bass. So why doesnt it work with both plugged in? Is there a way i can get it working properly without having to fork out for a headunit specific ipod adapter etc? Cheers, Rob.
  3. Cheers mate :) Yeah i think its great, Karl (KADVR6) has offered to help me fit a supercharger on my vr (when i get one!) because he believes its better for me to do it with his help so i understand what does what and goes where. He's a top bloke and its good to know there are more guys like it on the forum :D
  4. So where's this 'How To' for changing the rear axle bushes? Dont you need a pressto do this?? Did you notice any difference from changing the ball joints as i am going to do mine soon?
  5. I personally dont think the crystals go with blackberry, all reds on the other hand look superb imo 8)
  6. yeah, really wierd, especially watching the first run. The things he said before he made the runs as well! Yeah my heart was going during the first run and more so on the second when he used the afterburner!!!
  7. Yeah he was very brave i thought. I dunno what the guy in the audience shouted out but isuppose it was along the lines of 'glad you are ok' and 'good to have you back'
  8. AWESOME!!! Did anyone else find it emotional watching that crash???
  9. Would DOT 5 be even better (if it exists )? I am going to be upgrading my brakes soon ready for a charger so would want good fluid.
  10. Nice one mate :D i will wait until i get them fitted so i can post my opinion etc and then sort out a group buy, i reckon there will definately be interest in them as they give a bit more modern look imo 8)
  11. He sells them himself mate, i have just bought a set off him so should receive them sometime next week. I may be talking him into doing a group buy with them so i would hang on for a bit to get them at a good price. They look good though and go well if you have the DDI dials with bezel rings 8) EDIT: Damn Tyler R you beat me to it
  12. You do need them mate, especially on the rear as the car essentially 'rides on them' but you just need to cut them like i told you. I had the suspension on my car without the bumpstops and it was very bouncy and wollowy over bumps etc and i was told i definately needed bump stops which is why i bought them.
  13. Leave the front standard and get a 25mm rear, if you get the 28mm it will be 'twitchy' at the rear apparently but 25mm is supposed to be spot on. Do a search mate as its been discussed many many times before.
  14. Ouch sounds like its going to be a bit harder to do than my fiesta was  well i will have to get someone to give me a hand as it sounds like a cnut.
  15. I second the supercharger route, a stage 2 vortech charger will see 280bhp easily enough and can make 300bhp with some other maods quite easily and the best thing is they are bolt on in a day if you have the knowledge!
  16. New wishbones with bushes are now ordered, hopefully they will come with the ball joints but if not i will order them seperately. So thats my next weekend sorted out and i hope i can notice some difference in ride quality and mainly handling etc.
  17. The passive rear steering is definately effective i reckon, you cant notice it a hell of a lot but if you go round a tight bend a bit quick you can just feel the back move enough to bring you round the bend smoothly. Also the VR has a big engine up front but has no understeer (unless you start upgrading front ARB's, if you leave the front standard and upgrade the rear ARB it will overtseer if anything :))
  18. The corrado isnt as heavy as people think, its only just over 1200kg. My sister has a golf mk2 1.6 ryder and that feels ever so big and heavy compared to my corrado which is a dream to drive. If you do a lot of motorway driving then definately go for the vr it will lap up no end of motorway miles effortlessly and if you get to some twisties it will still handle superbly. They can also be good on the B roads depending on the set up, mine is slammed on wide wheels so doesnt like B roads but A roads it loves where as Kev Haywire was saying that his is brilliant on B roads.
  19. Ok can someone tell me what is involved in changing the wishbones in other words a small step by step would be helpful as my dad would usually help me but he wont be able to so i will tackle this myself. We changed the bushes on my old fiesta no problems so i sort of know what im doing but if there is a guide somewhere or someone could give me a step by step that would really help me. Thanks, Rob.
  20. They dont have lights behind them im afraid mate they light up themselves. I have attached a pic of the back of one. When you fit them you take out the bulbs at the top of the cluster which illuminate the faces green as you dont need them anymore so i suppose you could change these to blue and you might get a nice blue/white glow. Also they come with red filters for the LCD's but you could again change these to blue if you wanted.
  21. The DDI dials dont come as a complete set they just replace the guage faces in the original cluster like these templates would only they have power leads coming off them to light them up, im not sure how you would change the colour they glow but you could always try.
