My Car's at the Stealers - Inspection Report
herisites replied to Dogzyboy's topic in General Car Chat
I just got my new wishbones from GSF, they were about £40 each. Going to be tackling these this weekend which could be interesting  -
Yeah it will look sweet lowered. Are you saving to get a decent setup? I see what you mean about the heater rings, but you have beige interior which is quite bright anyway so i can see how chrome bits everywhere can make it look too bright, whereas the black interior is very dark and these just brighten it up a bit and add a bit of life to the interior
-
Goldie, cheers mate. Yeah will be good to see yours in the metal again as well, it looked mint at Stealth when i saw it! Especially the interior 8) mmmmm beige
-
cheers mate, do you have a link to his profile?? I did a quick search & cant find the man  Yes mate its HERE, he seems a really genuine guy and was super fast in sorting me out with them.
-
Son of a Beesting, not that hard really mate, you just have to take your time and be froogle  Its just a case of taking the switches apart, unsoldering the old LED's and soldering in some new red ones. If you do a search its been covered loads of times and there some good 'how to's' which i followed. Bally, PM Tyler R as i got them from him. They are very good quality and were delivered very quickly. DUB, cheers mate :D

Ok time for an update me thinks :D Nothing to show on the exterior but i have been making som subtle changes to my interior to make it a nicer place to be  First thing i done was the DDI dials which i mentioned a few pages back but then thought 'hold on the red and white DDI's dont go with all the green interior lights' so i changed all my switches to red which was quite easy really thanks to the SEARCH! Some were more difficult than others but alas they are done now and look much better imo, more modern which is the theme im going for. Then i looked through Riley's gallery and thought 'thats a nice gear knob' and so bought myself one which is a Richbrook slant top one. I think it looks nice, makes gear changing feel easier but its freezing first thing in the morning  I just need to sort the gaitor out to fit to it properly. Then i looked at my nice DDI dials with the nice shiny metal bezel rings and my nice new shiny metal gear knob and thought 'Wouldnt it look more modern with some more shiny metal bits' and noticed Tyler R was selling some chrome door pulls and heater control bezel rings so i bought some off him and fitted them and they have finished off the interior nicely imo. Next step is to fit my Audi gauges in the dash, im thinking about trying to polish up the rings on these to go with the heater rings?? Anyway here are some pics for y'all, enjoy 8)

I would just change the wishbones mate as they come with new bushes which will improve the ride and handling of your car anyway due to the current ones being 10 years old  -
Looking good mate, best colour by far 8) dont you just love standing back and admiring it after a good wash!! Got any plans for it or are you staying standard?
-
Bloody hell thats some shine on that Audi  What is the Collinite then a wax or a polish? Looks like its done a fapping great job though!

You will all be fine with 9's all round as you only have 16v, its the VR6 with the wider track so has clearance issues. You could all quite easily have 9x16 with et15 offset and still not catch i reckon, and if they do you would only need to roll the arches. You want to PM g60greeny as he has 9x16 et15 borbet A's all round on his G60 and i dont think he has any issues with rubbing.

First of all welcome to the forum! These wheels are a very common wheel choice on this forum mate so you can do a search on them and you are bound to find a fair bit of information. I have only ever seen these in 16's but imo 16's are the best size for the corrado. A few guys go for the 7" fronts and 9" rears but there are a few with 9's all round like me. If you have a VR6 then you will have issues fouling the arches unless you get the correct offset, i have et30 on the fronts and they dont catch but i have et15 on the rears and they catch a LOT even with the arch lip ground down. The VR6 has a wider track then the other models so they dont stick out as far and so dont catch as much.

Sounds good mate, just make sure you take plenty of pics as and when you make changes :D
-
And a wallet!
-
Fantastic pics mate, the C looks great! Looking forward to see how it progresses. And your street looks 8)
-
Yeah i have this problem as well so will be keeping my eye on this thread.
-
Ooh im liking that alot :D I really want to get some rolling shots of my car :(

Yeah just keep topping up the reservior until the fluid starts coming out clean the other end. If you dont top up the reservoir as you do it you will get air in there anyway which will just make life harder because you will have to keep running fluid through untill all the air is out. Its best to have someone there with you to keep topping up the fluid.

Yeah i got some at the weekend, they are lush!!

Well get selling and you never know   -
There is already a group buy for the DDI dials mate in the group buy section. I think the offer has officially ended bu Karl (KADVR6) is trying to extend it i think. I have them in mine and they are brilliant, really modernise the dash and light up really bright at night!
-
Ok nice one mate i will look into one of them me thinks :D
-
Cheers mate, that picture i posted must be a bad one because the one i actually have is the same as yours above, i nicked that pic to demonstrate  So thats why i dont get why its not working properly. That aux plug you linked above could work though. Is that the same port a changer would plug into? it looks like it is so if thats the case i could give one of them a try. Would halfords do these?
-
I done this with mine as well, i couldnt get any so called existing film off and just stuck the tint straight on and couldnt see jack  I gave up in the end and didnt bother with the reverser, wish i had now though :(
