  1. I have a pair for sale. Came off a member's Corrado so should fit no probs. BTW Stealth did back to back tests with and without a cold feed to the BMC. No difference at all either way, so if that's why you're doing it, why bother...?
  2. Kudos premium on the VSR will sell it. If I had 2 VRs (and the money) I'd buy it (when the price goes down more). OBD2 Schrick wins on price and on real world performance tho'. OBD2 ECU is a significantly better ECU than OBD1. Livelier and much more responsive. Well worth the conversion. No such option with the VSR. GLWS.
  3. £525 ono for the turbo. £250 for the head. Open to offers on each and deals on both. PM me if you're interested. No rush...
  4. If you do decide to turbo, let me know, as I have a Turbo Technics 16V turbo kit looking for a new home and a Dave Crissell ported head to go with it... Should easily give you 200+bhp.
  5. Looks like I could make use of it. How much are you looking for, mate?
  6. I don't have any such problems with mine. Beams are focussed correctly, I have excellent vision at near, mid and far distance, far superior to standard lights even when an uprated loom was used (or is it just an illusion....?), the car passed its MOT in late January and I have never been flashed by oncoming traffic. I am not using 'blue' bulbs and the kit didn't cost anywhere near 300 quid.
  7. I got an HID dip kit fitted at Stealth a couple of years ago and it works brilliantly. Thoroughly recommend it. Vast improvement over uprated loom. New MOT regs are not a major problem - just swap bulbs for the test.
  8. Sounds good, Paul. Please upload some pics.
  9. I've got 15mm stub axle spacers with longer bolts for £65
  10. Have you looked at using the Passat one? There are some differences, tho' I can't remember what they are offhand, but they do work. I think there's a guide on the Wiki. Another alternative is to retrofit the early style slider control panel, but you'd need the early heater box and matrix, too. An easier job than a Mk4, tho', I would think. Or go the whole hog and retrofit a Climatronic system.
  11. I'm actually a computer scientist. My specialty is computer architecture; I design and build systems for a living but I can manage the odd bit of coding when I really put my mind to it.
  12. I did a course last year at a local college. Forget tig and arc, it's for experts, working on aluminium, stainless and for producing showy welds. Fairly easy to get going with mig but equally easy to blow bl**dy great holes in your piece and to produce welds that look OK but subsequently fail in use. You need to know what you're doing unless you're gifted. "Disegno, disegno, disegno, Antonio..." I found it great fun. I think if you want gas less you'll need 4 phase power and to spend quite a bit more than your budget. Good luck and let us know how you get on.
  13. Interesting idea. I had a look at the Audi stuff only last week when pricing up an S5. Bit expensive for what you get I thought.... Yeah, Centrafuse is cool and not expensive either, but not quite what I need. It'll do fine for starters but I've been working on something of my own. Nowhere near finished and a bit buggy but coming along... Be sure and keep in touch and I'll slip you an alpha to test If you're brave enough to try it out LOL There's a chance of getting an aluminium double DIN centre dash frame made to specific requirements. It's a bit 'early days' but watch this space... What's happening to your car when you leave?
  14. I've already got the screen. Lilliput 669GL-70NP/C-H - 450 nits high brightness, led backlit, auto switching reverse camera, modded with projected capacitive multi-touch for W7, HDMI output, and assembled in a double DIN frame. Just waiting for Zotac to get the new Atom D2700 mini-ITX boards to the distributors to build the PC. Sorry to hear you'll be leaving us, mate. When and where are you going?
  15. That's a neat looking job. Which screen did you use? Don't suppose you've got any pics of the work in progress, Tiago? Yeah, space is very tricky. At the death I may have to resort to the centre vents to get everything in...
  16. I plan to fit 3 VDOs in the stereo slot with a double DIN slot below for a 7" capacitive touchscreen and squeeze a climatronic control panel under that once I've retrofitted a MK4 unit. Still looking for late model centre dash frames in good condition if anyone can help???
  17. Go for a Rieger GTX ABS front bumper. Just happen to have one going for a song on my FS thread...
  18. Have managed to sort the early style butr still looking for a pristine late style one of these If anyone can help...?
  19. Are you able to get a reverse fascia panel or point the way to them?
  20. Sounds like Mr Renshaw's your man, really. I may take the opportunity to join the OCD crew myself...
