Cheers flusted swapped the sensors and remade the connections last night, all seemed ok on the way to work today. Nice one for the input...

OK just got back from GSF, had a look under the bonnet, fitted now are WHITE (at front of housing nearest rad) and BLUE (at rear of housing nearest engine) so i've bought a blue and white one. Not sure which (front/rear) is high/low rev sensor... Gonna swap em out tonight, weather permitting, and i'll let you know if it cures the prob. Cheers for the info....

As a quick afterthought, when changing these out, do the new ones need to be tightened to a certain torque??

Just spoke to GSF about the availability of the 2 pressure switches that mount onto the filter housing. They say they have white, black, blue and brown. Would anyone know which 2 i need as i want to change them out while i sort out the dodgy wiring to them. The flash/beep from the dash is doing my head in. Checked oil level and thats fine. Just hoping this will cure the prob as i dont want to have to change the oil pump. Cheers guys... BTW its a 1.8 16v...

supercharged tried the seatbelt anchor point, to no avail (with multimeter) dinkus is there an easy way of removing the rear P/S door card? have run all cables into boot up P/S and tried to remove the card but didnt want to yank it in the wrong place and snap a clip or 2, so went under the rear seat bench in the end. Are there any screws i should be aware of? Thanks for the info all.... (if i dont get the install sorted soon, my b*lls will be a fancy handbag) :|

Ok, so fitting a 12" active sub in the missus's 02 beetle, but struggling to find a decent earth point for the groung lead. Has anyone carried out said install in said car? Or does anyone know of a decent forum for the new bug? (if only every car had a forum this good!) Cheers guys....

Once again thanks for the advice, I had a good read of the auto solve websites explanation and had started to suspect the accumulator. The guy i bought the car from had just changed the WUR so i'm gonna rule that out. I'll whip it apart the wknd and give it a clean out, or maybe just replace it. Any idea on cost/source (do gsf do these or would an OEM one be better?) Thanks again...

It's a 1.8 (mechanical system) So thats VAG-COM out of the equation then?

Cheers, Midland VW are 10 mins away, so if after a bit af a look i still can't figure it, i'll get them to run the diagnostics on it. Wanted to sort it mysef tho as need to learn how the beast works. So the head switch is also responsible for after-run?

Cheers, with the risk of sounding thick (when it comes to the C i probably am though) i reckon i can find the temp sensors on the head, but which dash reading will these affect? Also where is the cold start injector located? If it helps, the after-run on the fan works ok.... Thanks again for the swift reply...
