No just the weather was cooler for a while so didnt notice it as much, although its never been right completely. Was thinking if the problem is related to air temp as it seems to be, could the previous owner have fitted one of those dodgy +15bhp resistor mods, that fools the ECU into thinking the air is always cold? If he had fitted one of these, where would i look to remove the bugger? Thanks for the swift reply btw...

OK chaps here goes, had this problem since I owned the C (4 months now). When the engine is given a good run and is up to proper temp, then left for a couple of hours, and the ambient temp outside is warm, the engine is plain refusing to start. It takes about 20 secs worth of cranking, then will fire up on 1 cylinder then 2, 3 then 4 given plenty of revs. Have posted this prob before and thought i had solved it by changing the injectors as previously advised, but the problem persists. Also previous to the injector swap, i changed the plugs, dizzy cap, rotor arm and ht leads. Please help as this is driving me mad and continuing to embarass me in front of the missus ( "shed" is her opinion, desperate to prove her wrong) Cheers guys....

Sounds like you may finally be seeing sense, didnt mean any personal offence tho, just seems a little too far fetched for me. Finishing the charger project sounds like a good plan, and with the ridiculously low petrol price over there anyway, cant see why you'd butcher a good corrado chasing dreams of free power and levitation... Anyway, good luck, gotta be one of the best threads i've read on here... -

Nice one dexy she looks nice and clean...

Definitely not, IMHO there will never be a complete fix to the situation. Too many cheap cars flooding the market for the civil engineers to keep up. Assuming they do decide to ever do anything about the state of the traffic.

Saw this in the local paper's classified ads...

My vote has to go to the new Nissan Micra. Without a doubt should NEVER have made it past the drawing board. The perplexing thing is this though... Ther are thousands out and about, i mean, are these people blind???

Lookin good, i thought the only motification you would get in the cabin would be a BEEP, but you got a visual reading L + R too! Smart! (How much by btw?)

I agree, a lot of females haven't got a clue behind the wheel... Glad to say the missus is an exception to the rule, she owns a 2002 miami blue beetle 1.8 turbo (which gives the C a good run for its money, she always bottles out first tho) and she drives like the devil himself is behind her... Good girl...

Totally random bird outside the local shops "BANGER!" The MRS (regularly) "shed/money-pit/antique" I just smile and think "if only they knew" -
Filled up with fuel at the garage this mornin, the bird at the till says "Ooh they're bringing out a new one of them aint they? (walsall accent) " I've always loved scirocco's, especially red ones." Tried to explain but it fell on deaf ears... Does this count as my 1st chuftie???

Andi Like the look of the number plate surround set-up, i'm forced to park on the road most nights (the missus beetle gets the drive  ) and have to reverse park it. May well invest after seeing yours fitted...

Scratch the last comment!! Used the C yesyerday for a decent run, left for prob 45 mins got back in and she would only fire on 2 or 3 pots until revved hard. (Same prob as B4!) Really thought it'd been sorted doing the injectors but obviously not so!? Anyone got an idea of what to try next and which the cheapest option would be? Cheers guys...

Noticed recently my passenger side front fog had stopped working so removed indicator and fog lamp to swap the bulb, only to find the bulb holder assembly is corroded to the point of falling apart (the bulb is fine!) Does anyone know if i can get the bulb holder assembly seperately as the glass is fine so dont really want to shell out for the full unit...? Cheers guys...

Right then, its done!! :D the C now starts from any temp, idles better and performs better too!! Used a 3" woodscrew to get the endcaps out. (screwed thru and pulled out with pliers, so managed to get the job done without removing the inlet manifold!) Been called a "bodger" all weekend though for wimping out, but hey, got it done. All, thanks for your help and input... Cheers guys...
